I can see both sides of this argument. On one hand we don't want police having slower response times due to having to fill out excessive forms and on the other hand there needs to be some record of their interactions with the public for many different reasons including, but not limited to, preventing some sort of systemic bias. With the tech available today it shouldn't take but a few seconds. They could have some audio based system that asks the officer some questions, records their answer and then fills out that form on the backend. This isn't a binary situation, we can have both. We can have some sense of accountability, via stat tracking, and not waste an excessive amount an officer's time

Wait, wait, wait...if they're going to be asking people these questions, does that mean that if they lie about their age, (like so many women do), will they get into more trouble? If so, how are they going to handle this whole "gender identity" bullshit? 🥴🤷🏼 Guess they'll have to figure out what a woman actually is.🤣🤣🤣

A few things. 1) police wear body cameras, why not just have the interactions transcribed from the bodycam? Simple protocol "for the official record could you state your name and blah blah blah" All that typing; and this is if the interactions are smooth lol. Is a cop going to spend 15 minutes trying to get a person's ethnic background and gender ID? 2) adults are required to carry state ID/ driver's license etc. Let's just add the necessary data to that system "here's my ID bam, you have everything now". Lastly at the 1:07 mark, "communities of color and over policing" If a report of shots fired happens on 168th and Webster in the Bronx, does anyone really have to guess who might be the perp? if I'm not mistaken the vast majority of major crimes happen in communities of color and the perps and victims are PEOPLE of color. Yes, I'm sure there are a handful of folks that feel their civil rights are violated but creating measures to appease the press is absurd

It's to appease academics who do not live in these areas. It's mostly middle class homosexuals and women who write these things. People who are now where near crime.

There has been a history of racial discrimination towards black ppl as a whole and black ppl definitely don’t like cops. We all know which race cops are gonna stop more and what’s gonna happen to cops who do this

You can't possibly be an honest taxpayer, love freedom, God, and the Constitution, and still support the "UNREGULATED BLUE"! (It's Anti-Constitutional Hypocrisy) ... Oppressive police are seldom held accountable for their crimes against taxpayers... (This is the problem!)

So instead of the officer on the phone now they can actually work with the people they are supposed to serve but why claim you are 2 busy? How do u think that makes the public feel that u dont want to do your job because well your to busy WOW. How long does it take to fill out a form. When u are holding a person tou sem to have plenty of time to hold them but no time to document the stop like it beneath you. Remember these people claim to be smarter than me and u but to dumb 4 paper work naw i just think lazy if i took pictures of cops on their phone doing absolutely nothing it would take years to go thru. Where us the media at on all of this u just watched the video you already know not yours.

I as a New Yorker am adding to the law that officers have 30 more pages to complete the initial stop including the officers, race, birthday, SSN, and their home address and share all of that information with the citizens they're interacting with.
So Karens? Learn how to write and read english because the 30 page traffic stop i have setup for you into law is to put your GED police racist brain to work. 👏💯🗣🦜😂
