Wow. They are so much alike. They both don’t share a lot about their personal lives and they always put everyone else before themselves. I love that. I love those moments when we remember that Hotch isn’t just an emotionless drill sergeants but that he too has emotions and he can be compassionate and that he truly cares for each and every member of his team. Also the fact that Prentiss allows herself to be vulnerable, open and honest to Hotch about how she is truly feeling. ❤️❤️💞💞💞

Emily Prentiss has always tried to be the agent who didn't let bad things get to her. She has endured so much physical abuse in the past but I think that Ian Doyle hurt her much more than anybody else ever did. Emily spent all of Season 7 pretending that Doyle didn't hurt her emotionally but deep down I think what she really needed was somebody's shoulder to cry on. I know out of all of the women of Criminal Minds that Garcia is the most likely one to cry during a bad day, but I wish we had seen Emily go and cry on Garcia and JJ's shoulders from this bad day.
Freya Wilhelm Prentiss ended the next case "screwing somebody over". She stopped a woman kidnapper from killing her rapist by saying he wasn't her rapist and when she surrendered Rossi and Hotch arrested the hostage because he was her rapist. That woman told Prentiss off in the interrogation room and she realized that Prentiss was hurt by a man recently and that man, Doyle was killed even though it wasn't Prentiss who killed him. She was even madder that Prentiss' abuser was dead and her rapist was still alive. That's what caused Prentiss' bad day at the end.
Season 7 episode 12, emily stop a woman just about to kill her rapist at the end of the episode she confront emily and said that she can tell something happened to emily but her monster is dead unlike her that have to live with her monster.

Hotch has such a special relationship with everyone. He seems aloof and kind of cold but he’s so loving towards his team. He’s the team dad.
He has to be cold, not often is the shoulder you cry on ever one that needs that comfort. (Depends but hotch is batman)
