I'm sure its been mentioned but - for the most part none of us complain about the platinum price points because a lot of us just don't buy any plat. Plat is an easily obtained resource the longer you go into the game, namely through warframe market trading. Parts, arcanes, and mods can be traded to other players for plat and spent on purchasing all of the same items. Additionally, there is no frame in the game that you have to purchase outright, all are available to grind for free, and many of them are quite easy to grind for! The first early game frame many players can grind for is Rhino, from the Jackal boss fight, and he can easily carry you for the rest of the game, even into endgame so long as you build him properly. Duviri is definitely a more confusing part of the game, especially for new players. It has been changed even, it used to be, for a very short amount of time, that you could choose between the normal tutorial or Duviri. The "questing" or storyline in this game isn't fed to new players directly enough probably, more so this is one of those games where you always have the wiki pulled up on another monitor haha. For the most part the real storyline begins in Uranus, and man does it get good from there on. Warframe has to be one of if not the best free to play model type games out there. As someone with over 6k hours, I still barely understand Duviri Paradox. It's not necessarily that it doesn't make sense, but in Warframe, you're often just given pieces of the puzzle, with other parts hidden in Codex entries, implications, or simply left open to interpretation. It's not innately a terrible way to present a story, as Dark Souls fans will attest, but sometimes plot threads are left forgotten in unsatisfying ways. In the end, I can forgive the flaws since the game is in constant development, and some ideas may not pan out. As you advance further in the game, you'll notice the quality of quests rapidly increasing as they become more story-driven and spectacular. There are plenty of jaw-dropping moments to come, accompanied by some of the best music in the game. You will also discover a diversity of gameplay systems that differ from standard gameplay, akin to Duviri/Circuit. I think the main points of aggravation for a newer player are lack of direction and the foundry timers. Rushing builds in the foundry isn't worth the platinum. When you only have a little plat to work with, weapon and Warframe slots are the biggest priority. You will regret it if you sell everything off after you finish leveling it (moreso when it comes to Warframes. Even once you start obtaining Prime Warframes, you want to keep the regular form around for something later). I would recommend your main goal to be working your way through the star chart and completing quests as you go, while also trying to level up more weapons and Warframes to increase your Mastery Rank. Higher Mastery Rank gives you access to more quests, weapons, and higher daily standing caps for Factions. Grinding your daily standing with Syndicates and other Factions (like the Ostron on Cetus, Solaris on Fortuna, Simaris on the Relays) can net you some great rewards, and the excess can be used to purchase items from the vendors to sell to other players for platinum. On that note, you may get a platinum discount coupon from daily login rewards, up to 75% off. I believe these work differently on PC vs console, where PC gets a discount on the purchase of platinum, while console gets a discount on the purchase of an item in the Market (not sure if this difference still applies after cross-save was added). You'll also notice some cosmetics in the Market must be purchased with real money; these are TennoGen items, chosen from player submissions. Also, if you ever decide to purchase Forma from the Market, buy the 3-pack for 35 plat, rather than a single one for 20 plat (you don't have to buy it, I just think this is good to know in case you do). There are some items in the Market that are really not worth the platinum that they charge, so you should be careful when it comes to that (you can check how much players are buying/selling tradable items for on some third-party websites). As a final tip: play around with your settings, especially the graphical ones. Personally, I have certain settings I need to disable, such as color correction, motion blur, depth of field, and also screen shake (that one's in the accessibility menu). You can also do stuff like highlighting teammates and reducing visual effects from other players. There's even DLSS support if you want a nice boost to your frame rate. BDLG, Your doing amazing, I think it's a great idea for you to make video's like this. As a new player you have a first hand immediate experience, with how Warframe is at current, the hurdles you have to climb etccc. I think it would help new players a lot, to see you going through what they are. Quite often players who have experienced Warframe as it has grown and become content creators they forget what it is like as a new player and they tend to direct there attention towards end game. Creating build's with mod's etcc... That new players just don't have. Warframe need's more content creator's for new players. Keep up the good work bro and looking forward to seeing you grow in Warframe as a player and content creator. Peace :)
No one has said this yet, but you don’t have to buy normal warframes. As you progress through the star chart , each frame is available through assassination boss fights on each planet and all you have to do is buy the blueprint in the market (with credits, not platinum) The planet junction boss that you fight determines which warframe parts drops on that particular planet
Its been awesome watching you progress through this journey bro ! Truly is a great game man. Has its quirks ofc, all games do. but what Warframe does well, it does it VERY well. Looking forward to more content!
Welcome to the Warframe community! I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the game. I agree that the Duviri Paradox might not be the best starting point for new players, despite its original intention to introduce "end game" elements to the newer folks... I promise you every main storyline quest in Warframe keeps getting better, raising more questions as it unfolds. It's a journey that gives few answers but also deepens the mystery. Enjoy your adventure in Warframe!
Soon enough you’ll be getting to the really juicy parts of the story. Duviri will tie with the main story once you reach this part. The story gets really difficult to follow but it damn right is amazing - excited for the Jade Shadows and 1999 quests
I’m a solo player too. Unless it’s with friends, I find it way more fun. But the grind for mods is really jarring for me, I find myself needing extremely rare mods to progress from where I am
Warframe's monetization isn't great in the form of buying platinum unless you get one of those 75% discount from dailies. What earns praise about it is the player controlled market, you can both earn and spend platinum completely free through trading at a very fair rate. I'm sure there are a thousand arguments someone could make about why player trading doesn't excuse poor pricing, but reguardless of how you think about it, earning platinum for free is very easy and very useful, often you can get away with never spending anything.
I've been playing since 2015 on and off. The only real major problem i have with the game and why it's hard for my friends to get into it is the long crafting times for things like warframes. 3 days is a bit of a long time gor someting I already had to farm for
Yeah it was def a bit of an issue for me at first. Since then I’ve been able to get a bunch of stuff cooking in the foundry and it has been much better
As someone who has played for 1k hours or so, id tell ppl to ignore duviri until you complete the star chart unlocking steal path, by that point youl be able to use the duviri SP to unlock late game, upgraded weapons.
Yeah i think they could easily do a side-quest with Teshin, where you wander into the void. Or perhaps cosmetically, a different, but same system as it is. The difficulty is a thing that currently is getting tackled by the devs, idk how exactly but i think they actually lowered a lot of the enemy levels due to players not knowing the modding system (which is DE´s fault) Oh and, nice review, i think you said everything that needed to be said. You can also trade platinum with players, or sell weapons and warframes to get space, i recommend not doing so though. maybe the starter stuff but otherwise it´s a no-go :p
the idea of duviri is to confuse you, its a paradox, the platinum is like that because daily rewards can give you up to 75% discount in platinum which happens more often than you think and there are easier frames to get the problem is that you dont get what you want
with the new update comes a damage/enemy armor/elemental damage rework so the modding of weapons should become far more interesting! so stay tuned for that one
Love seeing someone push through and not drop Warframe over some "on-the-first-look-BS" All advise and tips are nice and dandy, but to frase it simple: Warframe is like a big Lego-set with only the first 2 pages of how to build it, after that you will figure stuff out and things start to click(pun intended)
they need to reorganize the quests by sequence not alphabet, that would help with that issue, the story quests are important to do in order, duveri would make much more sense much later in the story.
I wish duviri is made for endgame content especially knowing that it contains endgame weapons. I believe this because the game story lines up this way.
At start it will be "confusing" . People are gonna help you most of the time if you ask on QnA or Recruit chat. Take your time and enjoy the journey you don't have to rush. The game was out for 11 years so there are a lot of stuff to do.
For any potential new players who sees this - NEVER buy frames/weapons for platinum from the in-game. For all of them there is an option to either buy the blueprint for credits (and then craft it from the materials), or at least see where it drops. This is by far the worst-explained part of this game. Anything that isnt a cosmetic, can be acquired without opening your wallet.
Let me just say, as someone who has 5K hrs over 9 years, 50hrs is barely halfway through the tutorial. Once you get the star chart unlocked fully and have finished The War Within, then you'll be ready to start playing!
Gotta say its a mixed bag if u get to fast to the SP. If u dont have a good amount of mods you are very very limited build-wise. We as "Veterans" often forget how it is to be limited and therefore tend to push the baby-tennos. A friend of mine got Main-Quest and Starchart done in round about a month. In most SP-Missions he cant do shyt.
@@nicolaischramm3876 I get that. I still do normal star chart most of the time, so I'm not really pushing him to do SP, just that having it unlocked allows you to go wherever you need to for quests and farming
warframe PVP doesnt really work because A - impossible to balance gear B - the movement is so fast that landing shots on people is an absolute nightmare. having two people nyoom around the map trying to hit each other can be quite fun though
They need to at least move duviri do2n behind new war. Yeah you can play it at any time but it is best after new war. Edit break the circuit away from it somehow. I guess that's the only use to having it so early.
@@Darthmufin I wouldn't call it better at all. Sure it does a better job at teaching parkor mechanics, but it doesn't teach anything else, it doesn't tech you how the Star chart works/the market/the foundry/modding...literally nothing. Duviri is just confusing and often frustrating for new players.
@@MEYH3M It doesn't have to teach those things because when it was a starting option, you can choose to leave to the normal game which would start vor's prize.
From what i see in the comment you seem to have understand it by now but yeah Warframe market is much cheaper and is the best way to buy warframe tbh like for example most warframe usually cost 350 plat but their better stronger Prime version are usually bought at the market for like 40-100 plat and of course you could get plat from the market by trading the stuff that you grind like really good mod, prime part and other useful item
i never noticed the plat amounts being like that, but it REALLY doesnt matter, you should never buy warframes and weapons with plat from the store and you can get plat wo paying a dime
First off, you can unlock everything in warframe (which is a lot) for free through the trading system. Its not hard at all farm items and sell it for plat to other players. I currently have over 100,000k plat. Secondly all frames and weapons are accessible through farming bosses/missions and collecting their parts. Its honestly not a long process. The prime warframes are even easier to farm too and theyre the upgraded versions. How did no one tell you about this as you said you talked to veterans of the game??? And while you wait for frames to cook in the oven for 3 days, theres plenty to do and unlock in the mean time. With all that said, i cant stop but laugh the people who play free 2 play games and are taken back when the game charges for conveineces to the game. You think all the devs just like spending 60 hours a week to make a game and not get anything in return. Everybody knows there's no such thing as a true free to play game, but I'll tell you what, warframe is the closest you're going to get. A lot of the complaining in this video just makes me shake my head. I feel like you should of waited at a minimum of 100 hours before releasing a video. I understand not everything is your fault because there is indeed a lot to take in when your new. But since warframe is the most content rich game thats ever been made, no matter what the devs do, its going to be a trial and error process. But you should of seen how hard it was years ago to understand whats going on in the game. We are light years ahead of that now. Anyways, im sorry if i came off meam and smug but it just bothers me to all h*ll when the "freebie andy's" expect everything handed to them.
Yeah I fully understand this game is a huge time investment. And honestly the more I’ve played the better it is. But, I also feel like all of those assessments / comments are true for a brand new player. Waiting a minimum of 100 hours to release a video is a bit much. If it takes 100 hours in the game to get past some of the issues it may be a turn off to many new players. This was simply my honest assessment after 50th hours of gameplay.
What it comes down to is that gamers are spoiled snobs. They need to get over themselves to find good games. The mentality of it's free to play so it can't be good is one of those mentalities that demonstrates what I just said. Well that's not entirely true. They also play games like CoD and man that's been bad for years. Stockholm much? I guess to expand more, people always have these preconceived thoughts about games. The fact is that is the reason you don't find good games and keep getting burned. People are too judgmental. Sure you might get burned for games you pay for and you might find a gem you really enjoy. With free games you don't have an excuse to not try it unless it's just not your kind of game. You are just allowing your bias to control you at that point. You never know till you try something. You need to stop comparing games to other games. The only judgement you should use is the genre it is and then look at what you can on it to see if it looks like a game you want to play. Forget companies and forget other games because that game is it's own thing and even if it is the same title as another, that doesn't mean it will be the same. Take Mass Effect Andromeda for example. A lot has changed over the life of Warframe. Though the core gameplay has always been the same. Just new features were added. You make plat by running fissures and getting items from Void Relics. Basically in-game loot boxes. Relax you play the game to get them. You always want a group 4 for those missions to increase your chances of getting good items for more Ducats or parts you need to sell. You get a full primed frame and that gets you a couple hundred plat. You can also sell choice mods for plat as well. By choice I mean there are some more rare ones that someone with less time might be willing to just buy off of you. The game needs whales so if you can please spend your money so the forced free to play player base can have nice things as well. You create the plat economy by buying plat. On crafting as you play more and more, you get access to more weapons and materials to build them along with the frames. There will be so much to build that you will have things literally sitting in the foundry waiting for you. Don't stress about the game and just play it. Also for anyone thinking about playing this game, if you can't just vibe in the game and need to play it as a checklist don't play it. Trust me, you will not have fun. You don't play the game, you just exist in it as it all comes together. The more time you put in the more it goes into other things down the road. It's not a fast game that will give you that instant dopamine hit that you expect. However it's more satisfying that way. Currently I'm sitting on more materials than I can actually use for the most part aside from specialized or new ones. Just take it slow. If you need a taxi to a node or planet I'm down. UA-cam is the same as in-game. Just see if I'm on. Trust me, if you have the ability to take it slow and just enjoy and experience the game, you are in for a wild ride. I also recommend Zaric Zhakaron's new player guide. It was made in 2019 but most of the information is still valid. It's a long watch, but if you are serious about giving the game a shot it's pretty mandatory and recommended you watch it. I would say pick Volt for your first frame though. There is actually a reason that fits specifically for peoples interests. Volt is locked behind a clan dojo while Excalibur and Mag can be obtained from running the star chart. I recommend getting a warframe slot and two weapon slots adding up to 4 weapon slots as well with your starting plat. The reason for this is keeping two steady frames you like and have one open specifically to master frames you don't entirely want to use right now. I would recommend putting an Orokin Reactor into Volt because he is the most important frame for a lot of end game activities and farming. Figuring out Duviri can also get you decent melee weapons you can build right off the bat after a bit of farming. It's the weapons your Drifter uses in the Duviri world. You need to complete missions for a certain currency to unlock them for your frames I believe. I'm not really to ask about ranged weapons sorry.

Yes if you want to grow old and die before anyone takes an offer
Same boat. Been curious but for whatever reason, never tried it. I'd be down to see more new player content!
Thanks! I would highly recommend giving it a go. It’s pretty great
BDLG, Your doing amazing, I think it's a great idea for you to make video's like this.
Peace :)
Thank you! I appreciate this a lot!
Buy platinum only when you get a 75% discount, you will have this discount in a login soon or later.
I hope I get it soon! Haven’t seen one of those yet
No one has said this yet, but you don’t have to buy normal warframes.
As you progress through the star chart , each frame is available through assassination boss fights on each planet and all you have to do is buy the blueprint in the market (with credits, not platinum)
The planet junction boss that you fight determines which warframe parts drops on that particular planet
Thanks for the info!
Definitely interested in more Warframe progress content! Great video !
Thank you!
Its been awesome watching you progress through this journey bro ! Truly is a great game man. Has its quirks ofc, all games do. but what Warframe does well, it does it VERY well. Looking forward to more content!
Thanks man! I appreciate you brother!
Thank you!
You can later on farm relics on specific planets>locations and sell>trade them for platinum
Nice, thanks!
I just finished the new war! Woooow! So good. It’s starting to all come together for me. Thanks for watching!
Welcome tenno! Glad to see you enjoy it.
Thanks! It’s been amazing so far!
This game is a unique experience for sure , I've played it on and off for years now (Great stuff)
It’s been so fun!
I’m still waiting on one of those juicy 75% coupons
Soooo much more to learn
Haha maaaaan there’s so much. I’m excited to keep going.
If you liked the second dream, wait till you get to the new war. Then Duviri will start making sense.
I actually just went through it and it was amazing. One of the best, maybe the best quest I’ve ever played
Appreciate the insight!
Yeah i think they could easily do a side-quest with Teshin, where you wander into the void. Or perhaps cosmetically, a different, but same system as it is.
The difficulty is a thing that currently is getting tackled by the devs, idk how exactly but i think they actually lowered a lot of the enemy levels due to players not knowing the modding system (which is DE´s fault)
Oh and, nice review, i think you said everything that needed to be said.
You can also trade platinum with players, or sell weapons and warframes to get space, i recommend not doing so though. maybe the starter stuff but otherwise it´s a no-go :p
Thank you! And thanks for the info!
the idea of duviri is to confuse you, its a paradox, the platinum is like that because daily rewards can give you up to 75% discount in platinum which happens more often than you think and there are easier frames to get the problem is that you dont get what you want
Thanks for the insight! I haven’t gotten the illusion 75% off yet :( one day though!
with the new update comes a damage/enemy armor/elemental damage rework so the modding of weapons should become far more interesting! so stay tuned for that one
For sure! I don’t fully understand all of it yet, but I’m getting there!
Love seeing someone push through and not drop Warframe over some "on-the-first-look-BS"
All advise and tips are nice and dandy, but to frase it simple: Warframe is like a big Lego-set with only the first 2 pages of how to build it, after that you will figure stuff out and things start to click(pun intended)
It’s so fun so far! Definitely looking forward to more. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, sorry about duviri. Thing is that the events in duviri technically happens later in the game
It’s all good! I’ve been playing a ton and it’s slowly coming together for me. Thanks for watching!
they need to reorganize the quests by sequence not alphabet, that would help with that issue, the story quests are important to do in order, duveri would make much more sense much later in the story.
Yeah for sure. Maybe one day they’ll do something like that. Thanks for watching!
I wish duviri is made for endgame content especially knowing that it contains endgame weapons. I believe this because the game story lines up this way.
Yeah as a new player I was lost. Seems like this would be the better option. Thanks for watching!
please please please make more videos like this after doing the other major story quests like the war within and new war
I just finished the new war. It was mind blowing. I’ll try to get a follow up video up soon! Thanks for watching!!
I still find it so weird that you can just go to duviri so early. It just comes out of nowhere
and you are missing so much context
Was def a bit jarring. I’ve been having a ton of fun beyond that though!
To be fair. Prices of frames dont hurt compare to bundles if you also want other stuff for plats. Like slots.
Good to know. I’ve been using my plat on slots for the time being
At start it will be "confusing" . People are gonna help you most of the time if you ask on QnA or Recruit chat. Take your time and enjoy the journey you don't have to rush. The game was out for 11 years so there are a lot of stuff to do.
I found that everyone is super helpful. Such a good community experience so far!
you can't play that banger and talk at the same time. I had to rewind and concentrate cuz i was humming and singing that absolute banger from fortuna
lol true. My bad! Such a great song.
For the plat-problem: Wait untill you get a xx% off as a login reward...
Will do! Thanks! I’ve heard there’s some 75% off coupons every now and then
For any potential new players who sees this - NEVER buy frames/weapons for platinum from the in-game. For all of them there is an option to either buy the blueprint for credits (and then craft it from the materials), or at least see where it drops. This is by far the worst-explained part of this game. Anything that isnt a cosmetic, can be acquired without opening your wallet.
Thanks! Appreciate the tip, and thanks for watching!
The Warframe dev's should take note about the confusion the Duviri part causes
Yeah I hope they change that at some point. Thanks for watching!
Just finished the war within. Soooo good!
Interesting. How is the end game pvp?
I'm legendary 4 player with 3k hours into the game. Pvp exists. Nobody really plays it. Hope I helped xD
@@kavkasaurgames Thanks!
No one plays the PvP, it's just not that kind of game.
The late game content lies elsewhere.
Warframe has PvP?
That's the joke
warframe PVP doesnt really work because
A - impossible to balance gear
B - the movement is so fast that landing shots on people is an absolute nightmare. having two people nyoom around the map trying to hit each other can be quite fun though
Been playing since poe and I gave up on the story. Its all over the place. I just shoot things and have a chill time.
Haha sounds like a good way to enjoy the game!
Remember that warframe moderation has God like powers and can ban you on a whim
They need to at least move duviri do2n behind new war. Yeah you can play it at any time but it is best after new war.
Edit break the circuit away from it somehow. I guess that's the only use to having it so early.
The Duviri paradox quest really shouldn't be available for new players. Still i am glad you are enjoying the rest of the game.
Agreed. The game has been overall so good outside of that though. Thanks for watching!
It used to be a new player option for a while as a better and different tutorial.
From what i see in the comment you seem to have understand it by now but yeah Warframe market is much cheaper and is the best way to buy warframe tbh
like for example most warframe usually cost 350 plat but their better stronger Prime version are usually bought at the market for like 40-100 plat and of course you could get plat from the market by trading the stuff that you grind like really good mod, prime part and other useful item
Appreciate the info!!
i never noticed the plat amounts being like that, but it REALLY doesnt matter, you should never buy warframes and weapons with plat from the store and you can get plat wo paying a dime
Awesome. That’s what I’ve heard. Thanks!
Trade with other players for plats
F2P model best model when executed properly. not hard to do.
For sure. I think warframe does a pretty good job at it.
I spent money on tennogen skins to support the creators beyond that Im playing free 😅😅😅
Nice! Some of those tennogen skins look amazing
Diviri is explained like 200 hour in i shit you not
Lol I’m looking forward to figuring it out! Thanks for watching!
