You don't have to compare yourself to others, you don't have to grind, you can just play the game. When I started in 2015, I sat at MR5-7 for two years. Because all I did was jumping and shooting around with my Nova and Quanta. Was fun af! Warframe never shoves a 800% value pop-up into your face, the market isn't the main page of the menu, no notification bubbles. Just peace, loot and shoot. That's what kept me playing :) That's RARE for a f2p nowadays, we've to respect that.
It really does respect the player the fact u can trade plat is insane to me especially in this day and age I just pray for the first descendant players
I came back to the game around march this year after I left in 2017. I have played 400+ hrs of warframe since march to July, went from mr8 to 20. I wouldn’t say I was trying to grind MR but doing all the content release since I left till belly of the beast arcane energize farming and getting all the essential mods and items for incarnons was kind of fun. College starting in 3 weeks so I guess I will be taking another couple years of break from warframe.
Closed Beta player here, came back to warframe from a literal 10 year break, back then everything was monke see , monke kill lol. Now I enjoy it even more and I made a new account, gl in your journey in warframe if u stay in it :)

You don't have to whale but it does make everything easy. In my series I didn't purchase any plat. Everything was free. But I also have 9 years of knowledge. Alot of new players let me know they gained the courage to trade instead of purchasing when they saw me easily do it.
Hilariously, a few Flawed Mods actually have a bunch of niche use cases, which only become less niche the earlier into the game you are. While any veteran would look at them and scoff because of how awful they were compared to the full versions, when you start over or help out newbies enough, you start to realize just how endo- and forma-starved that part of the game is, and how draining just doing endless relic runs for formas can be. When it comes to making builds that get the most out of your mod capacity, when you don't have Catalysts or Reactors or endless forma, and in that scenario want to get the most out of your endo, flawed mods are very good for that. Case in point, if I've got 5 mod capacity left over, and I'd like more energy but have no need for the amount of energy I'd get from Flow, I'd rather save the forma and just use Flawed Flow at Rank 3 (50% energy capacity) than Flow at Rank 1 (33% energy capacity).
I can see the niche but at the end of the day as you continue the game it's just overall nicer to have endo'd the non-damaged mod. Means you would not waste the little endo you have as a new player. Luckily nowadays it's not the worst but I did run into Endo issues a few times for higher ranked mods. Good take though.
What kills it for everyone is that after weeks of farming an item you have to wait multiple hours and even multiple days just so you have to rank up sai item again and again with forma.

It's weird too idk if people watched I'm a vet of 9 years I have a main profile to try hard on 😂. The elitist mentality can definitely be annoying.
The codex is just not well designed, i think they need to fuse market and Codex, and overhaul both very hard. Or make the codex a lot more independent, like you go to the market to learn about a warframe or weapon, but it isn´t there. The Codex has SOME information, but no blueprint is shown, nor the option to buy, nor how to get it in general. The modding tutorial, among others being hidden there is also awfull, and it being 3 blocks of text is even worse. The sad thing is there is such cool lore in the game, but the only thing we can discover is the fragment scans, which take a long as time to gather, and the Leverians. meanwhile we got stuff like the Unum, noobs don´t even know that the ostron eat the tower, neither that it is alive. you only really get that after new war, and by that point the reveal is ruined by just too much going on, and no background knowledge. Like, imagine you had some kind of Mind-map for the Factions, with some dialogue and Artworks about the tower, some information about the Solaris, The basics of Grineer and Corpus beliefs. You could put a lot of info about unique grineer in the codex, like mixing the stat-info, drop info and lore more into that thing, and making it a more present player. You know.
