My anxious loop comes from having stomach ulcers and gastritis which was so painful and scary. Now that I’m healing and feeling much better my anxious loop is anytime I feel stomach unease I think omg I’m getting ulcers and sick again so I start panicking because stress causes stomach upset etc. so it’s a vicious cycle like I’m scared I’ll get sick again so I’m living in fear of food etc. glad I found your videos though thank you. 🙏🏼💜

This was really great & beneficial for me, thank you Elisha. My anxiety is mostly a result of my thoughts. I will pay attention to my anxious loop. I realize I have to have more productive & beneficial thoughts. I need better control & perspective.

Thank you for this valuable video. I wish had this information earlier in my life. I'm glad I found it now. Years ago I was diagnosed Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I preferred to overcome this naturally. I was using these techniques without being cognitive of the strategy of how to properly structure the technique to establish the ongoing benefits. I'm going to start using what you have shared as an intentional focusing Thank You.

I have really bad health anxiety. Been to the ER a couple times because I feel like I’m having a heart attack or I cannot breathe. I lost my grandfather and father In the span of 6 days. Watching my grandfather pass Infront of me and failing to save him messed us up. It really gets me because I don’t want to die and I’m only 22. I want to get better.

Id like to thank you too. I see so much of what I do in your videos, and I am so thankful for learning new ways to think about things. Especially...what do I need right now? Powerful way to recognize what Im feeling, locate it, acknowledge it, which takes away some of the power over my thoughts!! I will definitely be practicing these steps.
But I don't see the link to the other class you were talking about...the one that expands on this one? 21 days to something?

What I do is I keep thinking about it over and over and over. When I go to sleep I wake up in the middle of the night still thinking about this issue so I get up out of bed and go out to the couch lie down and eventually go back to sleep but wake up tired the next day and not feeling well

Your brain doesn't perceive the case as closed, so it's seeking resolution and doing what it's wired to do, which is "solve the problem" so there is no uncertainty. If there is resolution, that is where the 3R brain trick comes in to work with it with repetition. We do this regularly in my therapeutic coaching program with daily support, this is sometimes the game changer that we need. If you'd like to entertain this kind of support, you can find out more here - elishagoldstein.com/uncover-the-power-within/

    My loop
    I go on a trip
I think about what if I die in an accident and leave my kids
What if something happens to my kids and i can’t get to them
I have so much fear and irritation if my husband tries to distract me from my thoughts
I get an upset stomach, I tremble, I get a tight jaw, and adrenaline rush
I google my chances of things happening
I use pendulum to answer health questions about when I’m gonna die
I think and think and think about who would take care of my kids
And then I think about how I will never be free of this fear.

But what about when you have no idea what's triggering the anxiety? I can be doing my favorite thing in the world and it will come out of nowhere.

Could be something internal like a sensation… the trigger is less important than learning how to intervene and release the triggered nervous system
