@@JasonHoffmanYT I have a couple questions. #1 why can’t we use the mevo and GameChanger to live stream and also be able to still use my phone for texting and etc ? I keeps shutting off . #2 hoe do you weather proof the mevo ?? Thank you
I am new to mevo. Thank you for your help! I live stream in a small chapel. How did you zoom in so close on your face when my camera only lets me pinch in to a preset distance? Also, please explain how your lapel Mic is set up. Thank you!
Setting the camera closer to you is the key with the Mevo. You saw my plugging in a RODE Wireless GO receiver to the Mevo, the transmitter is in my pocket and the lapel is plugged into it.
Thank you so much for the insight into MEVO. My main question is regards to audio. How is the sound quality and how to connect to an audio source? I want to do interviews, dance productions, sports, etc. Thanks again
Sound quality will depend on the venue. The microphone array on the Start is good but for interviews you will want to add something like the RODE wireless GO or HollyLand Lark 150. I also use a mini shotgun mic for sports to get directional sound. What are you using currently?
Hi Jason, already suscribed to your channel. Nice and good info for me. Jason, I am planning to get the Mevo Start pack in order to record and stream small conferences with a 3 camera setup. The audio would come from the venue's sound board. Do you think that Mevos are good cameras with enough image resolution to record this type of events?.Do they have some zoom capabilities in order to have some maim shot of the speaker for example? Thanks in advanced.
Any main shot of the speaker at full resolution will need to have the camera within a few feet of them. Mevo does a beautiful job for what you describe if you are willing to have a camera close. Their crop/zoom will let you bring about a 1/4 of the screen real estate to full view, but there will be some loss of quality. I use this for my side shots at church and almost all of my baseball and basketball shots.
It doesn’t produce an hdmi signal but it is set up wirelessly through the mevo app. If you want to connect it wirelessly to a computer NDI will get you there. The NDI toggle switch is in the settings part of the mevo app.
So i just did a test to see what my iPhone 13 on cellular data and three mevo starts would do. I streamed to a closed group I keep on FB and it worked great at 720p. I dont have enough upload in my rural area to do 1080p often times but as far as keeping the cameras connected and the stream up and useable, yes, it does work! Thanks for asking.

No Mevo do not connect to more than 3 cams at time. If you need more you can use a pc with mevo ndi lan connection
Nice! Thanks Jason.
I love your channel. So helpful. Thank you so much for all you do! 🍻
Thanks for watching and for the encouragement!

Do you have a new contact for the Mevo skinz?

Just purchased a Mevo about a week ago & subbed :)
Congrats on the purchase and thanks for the sub!! What are you streaming?

@@JasonHoffmanYT Looking into this right now. I currently use a dslr for interviews.
A RODE video micro is a good mini shotgun that will work on either dslr or Mevo. Diety makes a double ended, switchable one.
Where do I get the stand you use on your ceiling?
It is an Arkon camera wall mount for CCTV found on amazon.
Love the videos! How do you mount the rode mic to the Mevo with the magnet mount you have to the pole? Thanks!
the Rode mic is mounted to the Mevo via a sleeve I 3D print (and sell on my merchandise page). It has 3 cold shoe attachment points.
@@JasonHoffmanYT thank you! I ordered one today!

The eBay link is dead. Do you have an updated link for the skins?
Can a phone provide enough connectivity for 3 camera's? Love your content.
