Fenclip now sells a usb powered active cooling solution/fan. It would be great to have a place for such fan to connect to the white cover. like a cutout in an ideal spot for the fan to blow on to keep the mevo cooler.
I don't see it on their store. What would the cutout need to be like? I've found some usb powered fans that could plug into the Mevo's usb-c port but they all move air away from the camera.
Love this! Would be great if the heat shield could also protect the back ports from rain with enough space for cables to come out. Possible with a little visor over the top of the front for some added protection there too.
We have conversed about this at great length. Just can’t offer reasonable assurance of wet protection and not willing to take the liability. A GoPro-like sealed case would be ideal but I don’t have those kind of resources.
If you have a file I can print it but can’t sell it to you as it will belong to someone else… Gimme a few and I’ll see If i can put a skirt on the Plus design I showed in the video. Plus/Boost or just Plus?
It sits above the mics as there is designed air space between the camera and the outer shell of the shield. Such little impact it doesn't even block wind noise.
Is there something like this that is molded and has a clear front. Possibly a means of making the mevo more water resistant? Also have you found the at the seals if any, go bad allowing cold to hot transitions to be a problem within the camera lens itself?
Jason just got mine heat shields delivered !!!! Really appreciate it man these are top notch!!!
Glad to hear it. Thanks!
i love the heat shield. i received it last Thursday and used it last weekend here in Arizona with no issue.
If it will help in Arizona we might be on to something! Thanks Mark!

Thanks. I’ve toyed with the idea of more protection for rain but liability keeps me from it.
Some awesome equipment there Jason! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
They should name the next Mevo model after you. 😂
Seriously, appreciate your content.
Haha, thanks Mo!
Maybe something to deflect rain and protect the camera.

Gladly!

Send me an email through my channel email and I’ll send you a pic of what I designed.
New Mevo Start owner , I have a question , with your heat shield , how dose it effect it internal mic's ?

I haven’t seen anything like what you describe for weather proofing. I haven’t noticed any seal issues.
