we're looking to take a stereo mix (not the main mix ...a 'dedicated stream mix'), and patch that into the 3.5 jack on the nearest cam ...hoping for a better, more direct sound
Jason, your studio mic is outstanding. The shotgun mic needed more gain. As for the USB-C to USB-C, I have not used it yet into the Mevos, but have into a cell phone yields awesome audio when used to with the Rode II. I think I have used the Rode II once into the Mevos. This was a great review of the audio input options. Thanks
Hi, great video. Please, can you talk about streaming Software options? Greetings from Mexico City. I've learned a lot about streaming for your videos and I'm still a novice at this, but I already do broadcasts of my daughter's Softball games, thanks a lot!!
Hi Jason! Is there any way to run the RODE Wireless Go II through the 3.5 mm headphone jack on the Mevo start and not the USBC? We have been using the RODE for our sound into our sound board through the USBC and it works great, but our stream isn’t reliable. So, we are trying to use an Ethernet adapter for the USBC port, but we don’t want to lose our good sound either, if that makes sense. Thanks!
I realize this is not a related topic but could recommend a decent MiFi for switched lived streamed(Game Changer). The Verizon Orbic works fine for single camera Mevo Live streams but my 9th Gen IPad doesn't like it for 3 Cam Mevo Multicam events. In other words, it doesn't work.
The amount of data out is the same with either app but the ipad does have to do some number crunching using the Multicam app. I’ve used the Inseego MiFi and just helped a baseball streamer set one up to stream to GC as well.
I was ready to buy Mevo, but i see their mic is very bad. I see you are just 1-2 meters away and your voice sound very low and bad. I don't wait mevo to have so bad mic.
Hi Jason! I know this video is a year old but today I tried live streaming with my Mevo camera and I used a wireless plugin iPhone mic. The mic worked when I had the Mevo app open but when I switched apps to read my chat, the mic would stop getting picked up and it would use the mic from the Mevo camera. Is there any fix to this or is it just simply staying in the app? Thank you!
@@JasonHoffmanYT today I tried it out using two phones: 1 for the Mevo app and connecting my mic to and the other for reading my chat. I didn’t have any problems this time.

Great video, thank you sir! I use the shotgun mic on one camera for baseball games. I use your heat shield with the mount adapter for the mic.
Thanks Richard!
I need to try that USB C method! Our current method of going TRS to TRS is yeilding less than desirable results.
Digital audio is pretty good in this.
Im sold. Thank you
How to connect sound from mixer
Very helpful, Jason. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Could you display the mevos to TVs that are set up in church while using a presenter software

Where do you monitor the audio? Headphone out of the iPad?
Yes
What is the latecy like when you use the Mevo's video into your tablet with audio coming from a sound mixer into the tablet?
Can you have one mic connected and it transmits across the other 2 or does a source have to be connected to all 3?
The single mic will feed the whole stream
@@JasonHoffmanYT Thanks for clarifying that I’ll be purchasing a kit for sure then 🙂

Why would my audio be looping or repeating while watching on GameChanger live stream?
Is the audio monitor unmuted? This always creates a loop for me.
That fifine mic sound really good. How is it plugged into mevo system since it looks like it has USB-A plug not a usbc ?
Just adapted it back to usb-c. Its the second of their mics I have tried and I’m impressed at what they do with usb mics.

That's why you use external mic sources.
very very laggy

I’ve never run across this but guessing you’re on the right track. I have one and I’ll test it to see if I get the same results…
