that boiler room was the result of a person who very much cares to do their best at everything, speaks worlds of their ability to maintain the building.
I had an account in Jamaica estates, retired Navy man. He ran ships boilers, omg it was beautiful. He marked every pipe and electrical boxes. Could eat off the floor.
The supply house bathrooms are a godsend on those hectic days. And I have yet to find the mythical well lit, well labeled, clean boiler room where everything is easily accessible.
I’m with you brotha! This is no lie the nicest boiler room I work on, so much so I make sure to tell the super who keeps it clean how it’s the nicest one I work in because he deserves so much credit for it
It's nice working in a fresh boiler room for sure, they don't seem to stay that way very long. I was the pump mechanic at UMBC for 5 years, we had many buildings, some 40 years old, some brand new. Boiler rooms in many different states of condition. I always tried to keep my equipment as clean and orderly as possible, but my stuff was only part of the equation around there.
In Europe we have small 2.5 & 5 litre, silicone troughs. Ideal for bleeding or tapping tight spaced work like replacing the expansion tank. Do you have them at your end in the US?.
should have changed the packing too while on it. We in germany have so many calls for stuck packings. its better to just put in a new and save the customer another call
that expansion tank would have worked just drop the pre-charge to the system fill AND use a reducer fitting. in fact i prefer to use potable tanks even on heating systems due to corrosion resistance. most potable tanks are rated to 210 degrees, oh and the relief valve probably should have been replaced as-well.

Those city power generating plants are dustless for the most part. It probably goes back to the operator’s pride.

Like a drain pan?
Change the relief valve always on calls like that. Ask me how I know.
The lack of any insulation is odd
Nice boiler room awesome,!😊
thank you brotha!

You have to be patient with that small boiler, usually start with a venting program of 15 minutes
There is no need for expansion tanks on most thankless water heaters.

Potable tanks are recharged at like 60 psi no?
@@Clamjammer yeah well the factory pre charge can be adjusted. Just drop the pressure and use a pressure gauge
Wawa coffee. Soup and sandwich.
Once in awhile you get an ocd building engineer 👍👍👍
There’s always a diamond in the rough
If there is no water on the floor it’s not a real boiler room!!!
