The Thing Redux is a mod made by me, trying to rebuild the original mod from scratch and improve it in many ways using the Source 2013 engine.

This is my first mod ever! Please, don't be so rude or critical about it, i apologize for any flaws that will follow in the release. I will fix them if people notice something wrong, though i do not say that this mod will be supported for more than a few months or so.
I wanna thank you guys for all the support along this way. I am very amazed by the fact that we almost hit 200 subscribers! I love you all so much and again, thank you. It really means a lot to me and it by you subscribing i get a motivational push to keep getting better and make more quality content for you guys.

if you're talking about The Thing Remastered - it's basically the same mod from 2004, but *ported* to the retail HL2 with newer textures and music. What i tried to do is to remake the entire mod from the ground up. Yes, maybe sometimes using the original assets, i am not going to lie on that one, but i am truly dedicated to developing my mod further. :)
@@qka-ow I was talking in regards to the title transition during the huge door opening sequence. I haven't seen anything like it (nor have I attempted it) How'd you pull it off? and good luck on your mod!
@@ac-Lukesbiggestfan i think you're taking about the transition to the solid white overlay?
i just slapped a plain white background on top of the clip itsself and made it slowly increase transparency until it fills the whole screen. It may sound complicating but trust me it's that easy.
