Здравствуйте. Извините пожалуйста что обращаюсь к Вам. Я живу Северный Кавказ Россия. Я понимаю что ваши работы дорого. Можно мне по сходной цене,ваше любое изделие.?
Mmmhmmm! Love seeing those precipitated carbides!!! Gorgeous. Master of the lost art. I love reading comments saying this isnt wootz. Lol. People have no clue
That steel looks really hard to move and looks like it cools really fast. The fact that a craftsman can take a ball of raw material and turn it into a functional piece of art blows my mind
Now this is the video I've been waiting for. Using all those scrap pieces. I'm pretty sure you have enough scrap pieces to make a double handed broad sword if you had a big enough crucible
2:23 hi, my name is Don DeZarn and a knife maker in Alaska. Are you putting charcoal in your recipe, or graphite. I’ve been studying Wootz on UA-cam. I think it would be really cool if you or anyone else for that matter, would do a video on the proper recipe for Wootz. I loved the video on how to make crucibles. Thanks Don
Another brilliant video I did wander when you would do a knife with the bits that you trimmed off, another beautifully made knife for the kitchen too absolutely love the start with the crumble it's like opening a special present.
Another beautiful knife mate. Once again, that grind... done by hand is a thing of beauty and the pattern on the blade, stunning! I'd take a Wootz blade over a Damascus pattern any day of the week.
That handle matches the blade 100% Beautiful and you did a marvelous job making it!! Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for the support of your channel
Wonderful! Especially beautiful is the execution of the descent and handle manually. I also learned how to do it! Like! Deck is wonderful too! But salmon.... :-(
Hi everyone! I'm not metal worker nor anything similar, i just like to watch this beautiful things being made. I've a doubt, why glass is used in this process?
people in the comments correct me if im wrong but, shouldnt be better if like remove as much material as possible from the blade (from the spine to the apex) because u can work it more freely, then quenching, after that temper the blade and grind the excess always taking care about heating to much because of the quench. for me and has i see it, quenching it, temper it and then remove the material is more time consumer, cause u need to belt it down for a bit, water to let it cool down, and back. Removing material before quenching you can beeeeeeeeeelllt it down. Took this as a question, cause yes i know you can do it in that way too and you (FZ) made part for "its important to let it cool to not ruin the quench", but im really curious about it ^^ And another thing, why always a single edge? For edge retention or just looking purposes? your job is just amazing btw i love the projects that you show us here
Thanks everyone for watching. Do not forget to subscribe to the channel and put likes.

Would pieces of Wootz steel forge weld?
question why you put glass on the top layer🤔🤔🤔🤔 I just wanna know
Beautiful balanced knife. My 2023 pick.
Oh man, I've been waiting for a video like this, there's always a ton of scraps from either wootz or damascus but no one is ever repurposing them!

What is the purpose of adding the glass to the crucible before it went into the fire? Is it for the silica in the glass?

For me it would depend on the specific patterns. Both can be beautiful when done right.
@garethbaus5471 agreed, both can look stunning but FZ have made me a massive fan of Wootz!

Watching how you make the steel, and wondering how hard it is to maintain the crucible. I wish I could order wootz straight from you.
Beautiful. Really nice.
