I feel like I've watched a hundred of your videos and I don't remember you ever mentioning your brother or his influence on your love of watches. Would like to hear more about that, or even see him as a guest. Great video as always, thanks!
Fed, I enjoyed hearing your list of favorite watches, though I very much doubt I’ll ever own any of them, even those to my taste. I’ve watched a lot of watch reviews and reviewers in the last 2 1/2 years, and I’ve decided you’re my favorite of them all. Others, who’ve obtained significant popularity as have you, seem to let it go to their heads (I want to be clear, I am not referring to TGV). You’re still the same guy you were 2 yrs ago, honest, modest and very real. Keep it up and you’ll own all those watches some day, and I’ll be here cheering you on! Thanks for doing what you do so well!👍
The coveting line is from Silence of the Lambs - Hannibal asks Clarice the question How do we begin to Covet? to which the answer is what you mentioned.
@@FedericoTalksWatches I remember that line because that was the first time I heard the word Covet. Would have been funny if you went around saying that you're quoting a friend. best
@@FedericoTalksWatches I may be guilty of that as well .Got the scene ua-cam.com/video/ZrBxOVX1Hoc/v-deo.html for your viewing pleasure. Been good talking with you Fed glad to be of help.
I don’t have much in common with much on that list except the Lange chronograph. I would also like to have one and don’t for the exactly the same reason, price.
The Omega Speedmaster Professional is the only watch I obsess over (even now that I own it). There’s no other watch out there that I like as much. That said the A. Lange & Sohne Saxonia thin is still certainly growing on me more and more. Cheers!
I am dropping the same Reverso Grande GMT back in the mail today. It even has the bracelet. It was my Grail too, but shockingly too small! On to the next...
Fed, it's nice to see that watches I've wanted all these years are on your list too. I currently own a Rolex GMT 16750 purchased new by me in '83, Omega Speedy Moon, and a JLC Grand Reverso 976. Next watches on my list are the Breguet Type XX Aeronavale, vintage no date Sub. ref. 5513, Navitimer 806, and the Cartier Santos 100 XL. On my grail list... PP Gondolo ref. 5124G, Breguet Classique ref. 7147, ALS 1815 Annual Calendar, and the F.P. Journe Centigraphe Souvrain (these last two when I win the Lottery). Like you, I have big wrists and like a substantial watch.
Rexhep Rexhepi Chronomètre Contemporain , Roger Smith Series 1, Philippe Dufour Simplicity, F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu, Jaeger-LeCoultre Mark XI, A. Lange & Söhne Saxonia Thin, Patek Philippe Ref 3448, 570, 130, Credor Eichi II
Dear Federico, love your content as you always give not just the good points but the bad as well as staying neutral you can be. I have quite an enormous wrist at around 15cm and even a rolex sub seems small on me, could you recommend afew bigger size watches? All the way from singapore, hope to hear from you soon!
You surprised me with the 5146 and 5130P selection. I love those pieces and if I ever purchase a Patek, it’ll be a version of one of those two. Only other Patek that I fancy is a 5164A for its complications. It has the most easy to use and useful travel complication bar none. I don’t know of any other brand using this system. No unscrewing crowns, just push front or back, while maintaining home time and AM/PM. I’m also surprised you don’t have some version of a Daytona in there. But you do have the ultimate chrono in the Datograph. Great list, and pretty close to what I wish I could own one day.
Hey Fed, I am with you on the Lange... However way outta my price range (right now anyhow 😎) Maybe you can suggest some alternatives to the datograph???? Just to scratch that itch until we can save up that 60k lol??
Hey Fed, Love your videos and this one is particularly fun. I love all your choices and many are my grail except one, I have always hated Panarai. Unfortunately I have never been able to afford any of these.
Hey i dont know if you answered this but im curious if it’s necessary to time graph a pre owned watch before purchase? I am interested in buying a 1990s datejust.
Awesome video! It would be really cool if you did a video on vegan watches like Hurtig Lane, Nox-Bridge, Dan & Mez, ETC.. as that's a market that's really starting to grow
I get pissed off whenever I see your 2nd gmt on the other channel. It’s like he’s parading it on purpose. Out of all the squales he could’ve worn in his awkward debut interview, he wore the that gmt. Coincidence? I think not.
Hi Fed, You often mention FP Journe but you don't talk much about Kari Voutilainen. What's the deal with KV? They seem to be wonder full works of horological art, just don't hear much about KV. Never really see them on the resale market either. I really enjoy your channel and your enthusiasm for watches and your business.
Hey brother - always thought the 42mm Explorer II would be perfect for your wrist size and that crisp white polar dial would pop w/your skin tone -- ever considered?
My average grail list : Breguet Marine chronograph in yellow gold Vacheron C overseas blue dial in white gold Glashutte original panomatic in yellow gold black or blue dial And of course my current Breitling Super Avenger 2 blue dial in steel Rolex Sub blue dial in steel with gold AP Royal Oak off shore with diamonds
Habring2 (COS chrono, salmon dial), as i was there 2 weeks ago, a Reverso and or (maybe the green) octo finissimo. chrono if i get wild. thanks for the vids fedo, been watching you basically from day one.
How is patek not a value proposition when they either hold their value or increase with nautilus or aquanaut models. And some of the world times are really high
It was Sigmund Freud that said, "You crave what you see every day," dude. High five from Polson. MT! the biggest surprise for me was that fred was 30 years old.
Does it surprise you that you can't spell his NAME, too?
Looks more mature
30?! 😳
Jingly jangly jubileeeee
Hey Fed, I am surprised that after two years no Rolex in your collection but that is life
I developped an obsession with breitlings navitimers, now I bought one and am really happy
The Reverso Grande GMT and the Santos 100 (XL Chrono) are definitely two on my top 10! Two beautiful classics.

The breguet classique 7147 is a Grail watch for sure. I'm gonna go check out the breguet museum in Paris end of August. Hoping to spot one !

I like the Rolex Pepsi, the Cartier Santos andThe Patek Philippe World Timer.

We share the same interest on the 5130P and Lange Dato. Both are fantastic, but at roughly the same price, the Dato will come first
Agreed. Though the 5130P should be significant cheaper if you look around.
Agree with the Patek 5130p. That watch is stunning.
I love it!
