It reminds me of an old joke - "New Vegas fans hate Fallout 4, but then mod NV to be played exactly like Fallout 4".

I don't think it's the gameplay, it's the story that's the problem.
@@danialshamshuddin it's still fun to constantly hear things like "they turned muh' fallout into a mindless shooter" and then see how these same people apply dozens of mods which mostly revolve around the improvement of the "mindless shooting" part of NV.

Love this mod, great for role playing when you don't want to just bolt out of goodsprings and want to build your couriers strenght up

I recently discovered Fallout New Vegas. Although it lay in my Steam library for about 3 years, untouched. And guess what? Fell in love with this. There are plenty of things to do in the Wasteland. Looks like I have yet to try out the mods. Thank you for the video
Fair warning: the mods will consume your entire life lol. I've had a few times where I spent more time setting up mods then I actually did on some playthroughs
@@maxlamb8149 It's 100% true too. I got to the point where if I found an inconvenience, or think of some cool mechanic idea, I'd search straight away for it and begin troubleshooting any problems, which usually took a few hours...4 on average during my first years modding lol.

I didn't install it because I thought it was just gonna be Fallout 4 variant quests, definitely an install for me
I've wanted a mod like this for a long time, just a "Do odd jobs here and there" mod that doesn't imply deep characters, interconnecting threads and an overarching story just because I wanted to do the first part of the quest.
Fallout New Vegas. The only game with such good side quests, people mod in more generic quests because sometimes you just wanna have gameplay with no worries or some extra XP
@@little_lord_tam Yeah, I've been searching for a mod like this because NV Bounties 3 sucked and I couldn't find any more mods with the "Be a hitman/Bounty Hunter" mods that didn't absolutely break lore or were of bad quality.
It seems like you don't have a ton of graphical mods installed yet your game looks great. Is it possible you could make a graphics tutorial? I prefer the lightweight mod lists cuz when looking on UA-cam most of them are like 100+ game changing mods and when I'm done my game just crashes and I give up.
I think it's NVR Doing most of the work, it can make new vegas look surprisingly good with just it

This is a fantasic mod, and imo proves to me that radiant quests in a Fallout game aren't innately a bad idea, it's just how poorly Fallout 4 implemented them that people didnt like. Adding them to New Vegas feels like extra and a good way to fill downtime and pick up an extra level here and there, since its already jammed pack full of interesting quests and content to start, where as in Fallout 4 its number of quests and actual things to do is alot more shallow and doesn't offer as much. I almost suspect that Bethesda was aware of this and rather than adding more quests they settled for Radiant Quest padding and disabled/removed the ability to kill any NPCs related to any quests in most cases so that the players could not miss any of the small amount of content there was in the game and complain there wasnt enough to do which would impact ratings and sales

@@Mortyyyy01 More so just that it's tough for me to run NVR with mods without the game crashing on launch. Texture mods are the only thing that works for me.

this is the kind of quests that space games that starfield was inspired from had, amazing how people can hate these randomized quests but also want more of them. Like i said the best think about fallout 4 was the randomized quests that let you test your new wepaon mod on some raiders, because the core game sucks. I dont think new vegas needs those but since there are so many weapon mods in new vegas and not enough combat quests and dungeons to test them, this could be great.
