Same, I hate that they don't let us stack super rocket radars anymore, its been months and I still constantly click on the research icon because its orange
Yep. When I played, I was always afraid I'd be stuck outside of an event with tasks left to complete that are extremely difficult or even impossible outside of the event. I had people in my Discord who were asking how to get certain pokemon that were flat-out impossible to get for months on end like Exeggcute (weird given how common it used to be, but I checked all the spawns and all the available research for them at the time).
Same. I hate when I have cd tasks on days when I can't play as much bc of work. I have to wait til Dec CD to finish the poliwag tasks. Have only seen like 2 poliwags since CD
Ive done all my special research asap but i still have a bunch of ‘big circle’ mons from research stacked up for great and excellent throws. Kinda annoying but helpful
And this is why I try to finish each event's special research ASAP, with few exceptions such as ones that take several days to complete or the Masterwork Shiny Jirachi one since I don't like switching my buddy and how much time it takes to get to best buddies.
You can get best buddies in 10 days Bro it ain't that hard I started 2 mths ago and already got 3 best buddy's without trying didn't even no it was a thing really 😂😂😂
I like how you want to be reminded of taking Snapshots of flying types and then your next three encounters are Togekiss, Zapdos and Jumpluff and you forget it every time :D
I can't remember how long I've been stuck with the research where you need to take a snapshot of Landorus. I fear it will forever remain unfinished Edit - this has now become a support group 😅
The OG Mew Research was quite something. I still remember how I was in Japan at that time and I went outside around midnight because I saw two or three Ghost types nearby. Good memories... Looks like there's still quite a lot of research left, but I hope the lag has improved at least a little bit! Last time you claimed all your Special Research you were in Tokyo, this time you were in Seoul, maybe next time you're in Hong Kong or Taipei ^^ Anyways, great video, Nick! Lots of good progress, and Korea looked fun and delicious, too :) I'm looking forward to the next video!
Omg this video was a trip! How great of a feeling it must've been to go through so much research, but hilarious that your game is still laggy, even after all of that xD Can't wait for next year's special research claiming video, haha.
What’s insane is how you went from nerdy college student with glasses to Asian biker hippie since you started this Channel. I see one of your videos least once a year and you keep changing Everytime I see you. 😂😂
I got this video recommended to me randomly and I gotta say, it's way more interesting than I thought it would be. It could've easily just been some guy sitting somewhere, just clicking on a ton of buttons in a game, but the whole vlog aspect made it way better.
That market is one of my favorite places in the world, i ate the barley bibimbap and it was so good. I like that nick eats almost everything, i am not food adventurous and thankful he does it respectfully, plenty of people use these foods as a dare. Also this video is insane, i recently started playing pokego again after a 2 year break and trying to clear my research too. Glad to see nick struggle 😂
I prefer a clean slate of everything done immediately, but at the same time I also have gotten into letting it stack up and then pop everything all at once while using one of the very few free double xp eggs I've gotten as I can never seem to play enough to have coins to spend at anytime.
I try to save catching the mythicals on special research whenever I go travel. I'm going on a cruise to the Caribbean next month and it's the perfect time to finally catch my shiny Mew and Cosmog to evolve into Lunala!
Seing all these unfinished researches is so frustrating. I would love to see a video where the goal is « turn off the orange color on the research button » It would be such a relief 😅
I was waiting for the video 👀 one of my dream travels, Korea... AND my OCD is very happy you're doing this 😂. I'm sitting comfortably, eating ramen while watching, this is a happy place. Oh! That location tag, I love it! Seoul is so pretty, kinda feels like Japan. Aaawww adorable shiny sandshrew, I hope you bought it. Hat looks good 👌🏻. All these pokemon with the geolocation, down simply amazing 🤩. Congrats on the shiny Zoë ✨ ! It's super intense finishing all those, I don't even remember doing all these research... That's a lot and I didn't attend all the Go fest... "Lets go deep" into all the goodies from the research 😂. Yes you need the sleep, you did a lot, you deserve it, it looks exhausting 😂. Awesome video, keep up the great work! Take care Nick ☺️
Buddy functionality idea / introduction of “bottle caps”: What if for a certain amount of Km walked with a buddy, the buddied Pokémon were to find a bottle cap where, when applied, would increase or decrease the buddy’s IVs by 1. For this idea, let’s say the Km needed to “find a bottle cap” were based on the rarity of the Pokémon and would multiply by 1.2x each IV gained. For example, based on the eggs the Pokémon hatch from, or the level raid needed for the reward encounter, would determine if you needed 20 (tier1), 30 (tier3), 40 (tier4) or 50Km (tier5) walked for a single IV change. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Charmander, they would need to walk 148.832km (round to 149) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Gible, they would need to walk 297.664km (round to 298) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. If a trainer had a 10/15/15 IV Mewtwo, they would need to walk 446.496km (round to 447) with the buddy Pokémon to get to 100% IVs. The same math would be applied to reduce IVs for PVP Pokemon. In addition to finding bottle caps with your buddy walking, perhaps they could be found in other activities by your buddy. Such as spinning stops/ raids/ gym battling / etc. This would also be EXTREMELY rare. To avoid problems with caught 100%s, the stat changes could be visibly different than normal stats with the following: * a notation on the Pokémon screen * different colored IVs showing a bottle cap was applied * the CP of these bottle capped Pokémon would be -1 of actual 100%s or PVP IVed caught Pokémon * the 100% bottle capped would not be searchable with 4* but would have a search just for “bottle capped.” Pros: - This would make spoofing or radar services less profitable and encourages more gameplay with the same Pokémon. - Entices player to “bond” with a single Pokémon for longer and therefore play the game more often to get the coveted 100% dex. - Allows all types of players to get 100%s while also not flooding the player base with actual 100%s. Cons: - All players would have access to the best Pokémon if they walk enough - The need to catch all Pokémon would be reduced slightly If you can think of any other pros/cons, reply to this comment so we can share our thoughts about the idea and maybe someone at Niantic will pick it up! Ideas welcomed and I’ll update the post accordingly. Side note: Could it be this is why Ash Ketchum’s Pikachu was so powerful? Because Ash built a string relationship with him? 7:33 so plenty of Pokémon designs 😮 I have two unfinished special field research.. 1) Seasons of Seasons - Landrous (Snapshot ) and 2) Shadowy Disturbance
I have three ditto research that I’ve had stuck for years but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one with most research not finished. Since I only really play in summer I spent the rest of the year opening the game periodically to collect up all the research ready to work through what I can when I have time
I'm thankful to not be behind on any research except finding Kecleon, the A to Zygarde, and about 4 stacked super rocket radar research because the shadows have been lame!
This is basically me, just not as bad. All through 2020 and 2021 I had stopped playing and 2019 and 2022 was on and off. I started really playing last year and this year. But completing the ones I had left off on felt so good to see so many finished.
I sorta agree with the coffee comment, but I will say most cold brew is made in a bucket and if it's good beans it can taste good Iced coffee is better tasting though
You being in South Korea was the most exciting for me as I really wanna go there one day for a vacation. But seeing the way you keeo some of your researches has rubbed off on me. I do the same now with some. But for me it is for not filling up my bag, and when I need the passes, eggs or poke balls I collect them. It is honestly very nice to do that.
Ok but why? lmao. I understand saving a few research quests like the ones that are for mythical pokemon like mew and celebi because you could make videos specifically about those but why not just claim the research the moment you finish it?? lmao my OCD could never! Great video regardless haha
DUDE! I just opened my 2nd account that I made when I was shadowbanned in 2017, got it to 33 in a week and haven't played since, SO MANY SPECIAL RESEARCH!!! That account is free entirely though, so it's nice having all the research for xp, balls, and items! I ran out of things to do on my main level 46 account this week after evolving the new pokemon, so it was a fun OG playing experience.
This video is awesome! one thing that really frustrates me is I don’t get many dragon Pokémon spawning that metal I don’t even think is at 1000 and I have I think five or six platinum catch Pokémon type metals
Those community days with the dragon types were the only reason I was ever gonna get that medal xD Hopefully you can get more chances with dragons soon though! Good luck :)
As someone who needs to clear out my research the second its completed, I appreciate going back 5 years of research history in one video
Same lol
Same as you because I'm well aware that certain mons in the research won't be available later on.

Same but I need a snapshot of Tornadus
I had that one too. But finished last spring last time they were here
You can't trade for one and snap?
If you have a Landorus, you just take a snapshot of one in your inventory.
So much stardust, both as rewards and from evolved Pokemon, that could've been multiplied with a star piece. 😢
This was super enjoyable, half vlog/half gameplay. Loved the style. Hope you're good, thanks for the video!
