I'm 60 years old and a retired doctor, so I've had many years of taking notes! I started studying Korean this year after getting into K-Pop and K-dramas because my brain is being immersed in Korean and I thought it was a good time to study it. Also, learning a new language is supposed to be good for keeping your brain healthy, and I definitely want to do that. I really appreciated seeing your video on how you take notes for learning Korean. I'm also using the TTMIK series so seeing you use those resources was especially helpful. In my studies to become a doctor, I used some of the same techniques you do for organizing your notes, but it has been many years since I've studied a language, and taking notes on vocabulary and grammar is different from taking notes on a scientific subject. Your suggestions of how to group things and to use different notebooks were very helpful. Your notes are so neatly organized and your handwriting is so pretty! I've been using a separate notebook just for vocabulary recently, putting the vocabulary from all my sources into that, and I've found that to be helpful for me. I have a lot of stickers because I use planners and make scrapbooks and cards, and I think I need to make my notebooks more fun too! Thank you so much for this very informative video and I subscribed so that I can follow you in your progress.

The excellent video! Many thanks to the author of the channel for the recommendations! The problem with many people is that they want to take a "magic pill" or get "secret knowledge" and immediately have skills and abilities. However, the truth of life is that knowledge, skills, and abilities do not come by themselves. You can't learn a foreign language without doing anything, without wasting your time and effort, just like you can't learn to ride a bike lying on a comfy couch, listening to lectures and watching videos about "modern methods of learning" on a bike. To really learn something, you have to really practice every day. You're going to fall down while you're learning, and you're going to get bumps - that's normal! The ups and downs of learning are an integral part of our lives. Motivation from success and depression from failure will always be your study companions. However, every student has problems in his or her studies that he or she lacks the knowledge to solve. It can be: poor memorization of words; no progress in language learning; the student can speak, but does not understand speech by ear; misunderstanding of grammar; incorrect pronunciation, etc. Agree that a problem you don't know how to solve is very demotivating. In order to find the answer to our question we have to spend a lot of time to read videos, articles and books by polyglots. In today's world, we have to solve problems as quickly as possible. I don't have time to study and analyze a huge amount of information. My goal is to master the basic knowledge of a foreign language as quickly as possible and already start earning money effectively in the international arena. I settled on the practical guide by Yuriy Ivantsiv " Polyglot's Notes: practical tips for learning foreign language". This book is always in my bag. If I have a problem while learning a language, I quickly find the answer in this book. There are many different techniques and tips for learning a foreign language in Polyglot Notes. I have made my own individual schedule and plan for language learning. Now I know what I am going to study, how I am going to study, when I am going to study and what results I am going to achieve. No problem could stop me! With an effective language learning plan my professional skills are more and more in demand internationally every day. Friends, don't stop there! Everyone has talents that millions of people around the world need! Learn the language and make your ideas and dreams come true! Thanks to the author of the channel for the informative and useful video! Your videos motivate me.

Hey! So i am from the UK but i am mostly Iranian and i am trying to learn Korean, i always struggle pronouncing them and when some people in my class found out they started laughing and saying ill never learn it, i took my book to school and in my breaks and free-times i would study and what shattered my heart was, when i was front of a puddle, i had a piece of paper in my hands and i was studying but suddenly this girl called Sarah came up to me, kicked my leg to get my attention, i finally looked up and when i took my hands of my paper to smack my head because of annoyed i was she quickly grabbed it and dropped it in the puddle, i got so mad so i went to tell the teacher but we had to go to class, since the teacher would not bother to listen to what i was saying i went to her and there was a huge puddle behind her and i was like “do that one more time and ur face is in there” i stormed off, after like 3 hours in being in class it was home time, i arrived home and told my mother about what happened, she told me that i should not listen to them and she would do anything for me to achieve my dream of learning Korean, she told my dad and he said come home and see what is on the table tmrw, next day when i was home i saw a blanket with bumps on it, i took it off and saw notebooks, pens, and my first talk to me in Korean book! I love your writing this is helpful for me I cant say enough I love your writing it is better than mines and how you write so neatly its Incredible and amazing also
I really like the way you present the things and that you show it in live how you do it. I always did my notes like you but in a more messy way because i had no time to take my time to write it cleanly, but I understood even like that what I was writing. I think when it's a new language you automatically doesn't want to make mistakes so you don't write fast 😂 and concerning korean i don't know why but i'm sure it's like a therapy feeling to write it 🥰 I like the way you also do the vocabulary parts, it's really clean ! I need another pen i think, mine is too fatt 😐 And for the stickers it's a really nice idea, i never used some before ~ I have to order some 😂 I saw you also use Washi Tapes ~ i love those tapes I need some too I think i'll prefer them for sectioning chapters or main titles etc 😊 One thing I recommand is to use especially one type of color like blue colors for gramar, Orange colors-type for Vocab etc so that you view easier things. And your brain will automatically arrange it better 😊 When i'll start learning it (very soon) i'll also use one separate book or the end of one to make exercises like tests/mini exams. I heared it's really really important to try in a consistant way if you remember the words and check it after a few days again or weeks Let me know of what you think about this 😊 Ps: I also use the same size for notes, i love that size dunno why 😳
Watching this video it gives me an idea of how I should and want to take my notes, in a way it's easier for me to understand. But also, I realized ... when taking notes I should focus more on the hangul and the english meaning, rather than also writing down the romanization. I think in the past I've used romanization too much as a crutch and never fully understood the Hangul for itself.
☆things that make my notes neater: ~use a pen, not a mechanical pencil ~read the lesson before starting to write it (helps with organizing) ~use markers only when needed! we're learning korean, not doing a color book ! ☆hope this helps
note: if you want to add colours and little doodles do so as if the page looks boring you will find it boring but: stick to one colour per page/lesson. keep the doodles simple and small and out of the way or make it so they have a purpose, like displaying items or a conversation

I always did my notes like you but in a more messy way because i had no time to take my time to write it cleanly, but I understood even like that what I was writing. I think when it's a new language you automatically doesn't want to make mistakes so you don't write fast 😂 and concerning korean i don't know why but i'm sure it's like a therapy feeling to write it 🥰
I like the way you also do the vocabulary parts, it's really clean ! I need another pen i think, mine is too fatt 😐
And for the stickers it's a really nice idea, i never used some before ~ I have to order some 😂
I saw you also use Washi Tapes ~ i love those tapes I need some too I think i'll prefer them for sectioning chapters or main titles etc 😊
One thing I recommand is to use especially one type of color like blue colors for gramar, Orange colors-type for Vocab etc so that you view easier things. And your brain will automatically arrange it better 😊
When i'll start learning it (very soon) i'll also use one separate book or the end of one to make exercises like tests/mini exams. I heared it's really really important to try in a consistant way if you remember the words and check it after a few days again or weeks
Let me know of what you think about this 😊
Ps: I also use the same size for notes, i love that size dunno why 😳
i really like the idea of using different colors for different sections, i might try it out to see if it works for me 😊❤️
@@allthingsann oh wow you answered thank you ! 😳
I hope it helps you 🤗💜
Your notes are so simple but beautiful
your handwriting is so cute and neat, both in korean and in english! also your voice is so soothing :D
Omo you r so underrated 😱😬
Watching this video it gives me an idea of how I should and want to take my notes, in a way it's easier for me to understand. But also, I realized ... when taking notes I should focus more on the hangul and the english meaning, rather than also writing down the romanization. I think in the past I've used romanization too much as a crutch and never fully understood the Hangul for itself.
I am addict to this channel
☆things that make my notes neater:
~use a pen, not a mechanical pencil
~read the lesson before starting to write it (helps with organizing)
~use markers only when needed! we're learning korean, not doing a color book !
☆hope this helps

Waoooo I really love your notes. I will apply this in my Chinese studies.
Can you post a photo or go through all your notes to where someone can copy them please?? Nice video 🍓✨
i post my notes on my instagram if that helps :)
note: if you want to add colours and little doodles do so as if the page looks boring you will find it boring but:
stick to one colour per page/lesson.
keep the doodles simple and small and out of the way or make it so they have a purpose, like displaying items or a conversation
My notes are like rough work n your notes are like projects
