There are a few songs where the Kami Band do intros to give them a chance to shine during the performance. They have also done intros during performances of Rondo of Nightmare, Yava!, Metali, and Awadama Fever. There are a bunch of metal band that were masks, they're a pretty common thing in metal. Slipknot are the most famous masked band, but Slaughter To Prevail, Sleep Token, and Ghost are other prominent bands that wear masks. I was at this show to see this live and it was fantastic. This was actually the first time they had performed this song in four years, so it was a bit of special treat to get to see it.
@Icipher353 o was it really that's pretty awesome there seem to he a couple ppl in the comments that was at this show, o right thanks for filling me in I don't know to much about rock/metal, but maybe over time n I've done more babymetal n stuff I might start checking other rock bands out in the future
Good reaction, thanks! I admit that the studio version of "Kagerou" went initially under my radar when it came out (not much a hard rock fan and I was new to BABYMETAL back in late 2019) but then, I listened to the live version (from the Legend Metal Galaxy live album) and the intro got my attention immediately, specially the drums solo and that final blastbeat in particular by Anthony Barone, using his personal signature technique: gravity blast. The song represents the more adult side of BABYMETAL both for the choreography and for the lyrics with a theme that is not usual for them: jealousy. I believe that this live performance speaks for itself and I'm so grateful to have experienced it in person. 🤘🦊
@GavinsRRD Really! I attended both Legend-MM shows in Yokohama in March 2024. And yes, it was quite an experience! Not only for the shows themselves (which were epic!) but also because it was my very first time in Japan and specially thanks to all the amazing people I got to know in person. I'm very grateful for their kindness and it's something I will never forget. 😊
Nice! The Kami Band is amazing too. These guys (Kami West) have been backing Babymetal since 2019, and are now their sole backing band. Only the bassist switched a few times. 🤘🦊
@ as of recent years, they always play an intro to Metali, which is on every setlist for every show when they’re on tour. Some shows such as this one, they did 2 solos (Kagerou/Metali day 1, Yava!/Metali day 2).
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。"Kagerou" is a word having 4 syllables like Ka-ge-ro-u [kɑ・gé・ro・ʊ]. I witnessed this vey performance at the venue. I was in bliss 😍 Kamis are amazing musicians with virtuosity. Chris, CJ, Anthony, Clint (and 2 other bassists : Ryan & Matt) have been dedicating their energy to BABYMETAL's international activities (including Japan) long and extensive enough to be called as "our" band. They are amazing knights to protect our queen and princesses. (I am now enjoying plays by original Kamis in their own concerts in Japan ) Su is singing about jealousy against someone using a metaphor of heat haze, "Kagerou". The hash emotion is shimmering from her inner blaze, and it seems to me that her emotion will not erupt but turn into magma deep down. It's scary😱 . This is the song featuring BM's heavy, dark, seductive and sultry side. The girls have grown up into ladies without doubt.
@flugelhornoldman1362 aha thanks for filling me in with some of the lyrics and what it mean appreciate it, will difinetly get on more babymetal now I got back into it and I have a playlist for them if u wish to check my old videos out
it's Tattoo, KAGEROU is called ex Tattoo, Suzuka shows a fake Finger snapping, Well... she can't she can't... LOL in addition to "Babymetal - IDZ at 2014 UK Sonisphere festival"! ua-cam.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/v-deo.htmlsi=2wu3JTmw-0UcC73P
🍑 ⚡ 💕 / 🌡 🔥 Chris Kelly (first solo) is playing a Musicman Sabre custom in sparkle purple. CJ Masciantonio (second solo) is playing a Schecter Sunset-24 7 FR in Violet Ice. Clint Tustin is playing a Dingwall NG 5-string bass in Matte Gold. And that's Anthony Barone on the drums. : ) He's a beast. You might try 'Monochrome' at PIA Arena. Another great BABYMETAL performance.
Welcome back. For another song (but a much earlier one) with a Kami Band instrumental intro you could watch 'Catch Me If You Can' live at Budokan Black Night from 2014 (it is also safe to use). In this one you saw the Kami Band of the West who have been with BABYMETAL since 2019. They are all Americans - Chris Kelly and CJ Masciantoino on guitars, Clint Tustin on bass and Anthony Barone on drums. From 2013 to January 2023 BABYMETAL were supported by the Kami Band of the East (Japanese musicians), so if you do watch that performance of Catch Me If You Can at Budokan Black Night you will see Leda Cygnus and Takayoshi Ohmura on guitars, BOH on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
Excellent reaction and yeah Amuse can be such a buzz kill. Babymetal have essentially had two bands since their start. The original Kami Band-all top Japanese session musicians- and here Kami Band of the West their touring band for the last few years-all top North American musicians. So with the occasional fill in for illness whatever. The ladies have had very top tier and very stable instrumentalists for most of their career.
Yea the band which pretty sick not seen them before only heard in background so never gave them props before, n yea it's funny how u know its amuse that keep doing it, this video was someone else and no issue with the video luckily 🙂
👍 👍 Understood about the copyright issues but hang in there man because you haven't even scratched the surface of BABYMETAL LIVE song/performances as they have over 65 and all of them are different. Suggest Monochrome LIVE at PIA ARENA 2023 HQ Pro Shot from Hymnodic channel next Good luck
Enjoy your reaction... Awesome song and performance! Hope you can handle the copyright issue. Keep on rocking 🤘🦊 Suggestion.. BABYMETAL - Megitsune (Live at PIA Arena 2023)[SUBTITLED] 4K ua-cam.com/video/RorkQ79V-68/v-deo.htmlsi=UhRjOXPmYod_vGUb . from Hymnodic channel
Thanks glad u enjoyed it, o yea I need to get on a lot more babymetal still go so many suggestions to get through, n yes tbf this video was fine no claim as it wasn't owned by amused they the ones keep striking me n blocking my babymetal videos
Copyright claims on Reactions are lame! Whoever of their Management is responsible for that should think about what made Babymetal popular in Europe and America. It's bevause of reactions like Yours 😉 as below Monochrome was already mentioned ... there is a piano version "f1rst take" which should not be claimed as the rights are set different 😜
@frankhusemann9174 my man u know every artist going u are a proper music lover 🙂 I'm starting to be like that which is why o absolutely love doing these reactions the amount of artist I discover is great, n yea they are annoying as it does help the artist get more know and it's never the artist they all seem cool with reactions it's record labels n companies that always does it 😪
