No matter what you call it how you play it's still the Blues. Grand Pa Mississippi Delta Blues gave birth to them all... Boogie Woogie, Chicago Blues, Rhythm and Blues, Rockin Blues, Rockabilly, Rock and Roll and on and on and on.
How many of these guys were attempting to channel a bit of Elvis magic? He really was the high priest in the church of Rockabilly. Even Wanda Jackson, and that insufferable kid hopping around with his stupid guitar while his sister tries to sing the song.
I was prepared to say this is just another modern band who think they do rockabilly but actually have the box but don't have the pizza inside. I one of these people who feel there hasn't been any real rockabillybrecorded since 1959. But I was surprised how acceptable this performance was. Real talent here.
Why didn't you identify anyone? I'm an old time rockabilly fan and can't identify many. Some are more up tempo country than rockabilly. Great compilation.

The definition of rock a billy is Country musicians playing rock and roll. That's what this is, I love it.
Loved Paul Burellson and Jhonny Burnett with his brother Dorsey on drums, the Rock and Roll Trio. I have their album
The Collins Kids should have been a lot more famous than what they were. Incredible talent and charisma , especially for being so young.

I believe that is James Burton playing the Tele with the band at the 6:30 mark. He went on to be Elvis's man on guitar,
One of the purest forms of rock and roll ever! Still a viable sound today and more fun than that Nashville, corporate country.
Corporate country. What a great expression precisely describing how country went pop in Nashville
