Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Fording DEEP Water - 3 FEET: WININING + Obstacles

- Here are the external shots of the "Submarine Video". The water was pretty deep - the top of my wheel wells are 34 inches and the water was above that at certain points. Water went over the headlights, a couple of inches more and I probably would have gotten water in the rebreathers.
No water inside, everything was perfectly dry. I'm going to try this again once I have my Dobinsons/MFC lift which when combined give 3.5 inches lift - add in 32 inch tires and you get 5 inches over stock.
There's also footage of a few obstacles and a shallower water crossing
Special Thanks to my friends at: / @offroadrookies7734 for the footage.

Damnnn I know how much the camera takes away, that was some seriously impressive driving!!!
KL Overland ha thanks
que envidia, ya quisiera poder ir por ahí!!! buenos vídeos
My trailhawk always makes me smile. They tow very well they go like goats and hit 9th gear at 90mph what else could a person want in a vehicle?
I am strongly considering a Cherokee Trailhawk, but hesitate because I can't find much about reliability. I know the first couple years had tranny issues, but is there anything else you can speak to regarding reliability?
@@joe1071 Supposedly they worked out all the kinks now. They don't have all teh aftermarket support that tacomas/wranglers/4runners do. but you can still find lift kits, bumpers, and lightbars, which are what the occiasional offroader every really needs to be honest
The 2014 transmission is a little odd, it's better in the 2015. I have both. 120,000 on one and 150,000 on the other one. No major problems. @@user-xf1gn1uq4l
A Chevy, definitely not a mopar/Chrysler/fiat .Or even a ford before one .
SWEET!
Awesome video! Fun to watch 💪🇺🇸 So was everything stock on your Trailhawk in this video??
pretty awesome dude
Thanks!
Siiiiick
Gonna need a snorkel 🤿
Holy shit!!
Ya, I don't think I would have risked that on my trailhawk. I have seen a snorkel on a trailhawk though.
21 inches hits my fog lamps. that was way deeper than 21 inches. I guess that means you can push it a little deeper. MFC snorkel kit lets TH ford 32''
Great video, but my neighbors KL just stalled in a puddle of water way smaller than what you were showing. It is still not starting, and the dealer had to tow it. 8 month old car, let’s hope it’s under warranty.
Trailhawks have the air intake mounted higher than normal cherokees. But I wouldn't try water that deep in mine. They're only rated for 19 inches of water.
@@psychologicaltirefire8190 Isn't it 21 inches?
車内に水は入りますか?
I thought the KL was only rated for 2 feet of water fording.
What is KL?
You can put a 2 inch lift on the 19s
@@billgordon8786 you can put 2 inch lift on all year models
Christina Sinclair 2014-2020 Cherokees
Michael Miller 20” standing water, 19” water traversing at 5mph
UFO at 1:20 at the top of the screen
They look like transmission line "floaters."
Is that the tigershark 4 cylinder or V6 pentastar????
V6 3.2 l
I don't have a trail hawk, but I have a cherokee sport, can my cherokee sport do this? Has anybody try a sport doing this kind of stuff?
If it's 4x4 Cherokee sport KL the only difference is lack of rear locker and worse stock tires. With the right tires you could do this. And all the lift kits are available for all the 14'-18' KLs. If you have the pentastar 3.2L v6 then you can do all the crazy engine mods the chrysler 200 guys are doing.
Thanks for the answer, yeah it's a 4x4
@@Adam-vp5lc what mods do you know of????
@@510dlo HarzardSky.com or any other "aussie lifts" are mostly safe. Up to 1.5" without having to correct centering of rear wheels, HarzardSky has that avail too.
BlackBear-OffRoad.com has racks, fog lights, and other mods available.
mfcoffroad.com has rock rails, lifts, bumpers, etc.
Eibach E30-28-016-01-22-Pro springs should provide 1" lift for non-trailhawks.
donbinsondirect.com and others have full strut/shock lift kits with different load limits.
jeepcherokeeclub.com has a lot of folks documenting their mods, including non-trailhawk stuff.
@@510dlo Also, rockauto.com has some replacement suspension parts that are stronger than OEM; like rear swing arms that are steel vs the oem aluminums prone to tearing away with full suspension lifts and use on aggressive trails.

rocky-road.com has custom racks, bumpers, winches and other gear for Jeep KL as well.
My 2022 Trailhawk lists 20 inches max
Yes I violated that lol
