Fun fact about this mission: This mission is actually linked to a DLC spec ops mission called Thin Ice and it is confirmed that in that mission the person you play as is Frost and he is one of the only members of Metal left and he is now in Sandman’s chair as the new leader of Metal in which survival mode if you call Delta Squad then those are a few of the remaining Metal delta force members
I think Frost is the one who's distracting above that tunnel where Delta Team and Team 141 where in, and he's the one who planted the charges too in the mines, and Price is actually talking to Frost in radio.
Yeah it's kind of weird how when you play, you're usually the silent one and everyone runs their mouth like a minigun. But when you play as said "minigun mouth" (like Price in the final MW3 mission) you are quiet.

To everyone whos asking, Frost actually haves two "possible" reasons why he isnt here, dont worry, he Is not Dead 1.after His last mission in Berlin, he was promoted to be a captain in His own squad thanks to His services to the Delta Force, saving Sandman when the door explodes (and basically his own carrer), sadly, that means that he could not participate in Sandman Squad again, so he doesn't go with them and he was replaced (not very good notice to all the squad, maybe it was a petition from Overlord) with Mcloy, a New member (that sadly dies in His first mission). Frost becomes sad when he finds out that his whole team died in the rabbit hole mission, so he promises to be as good as Sandman with his team, this is the most probable ending to him, the last part was maked up to give some history, but it's too much probable that this was canon, because there are two lost missions, and one of them you could played Frost as Captain of the Thermite 0-1 squad 2.Mostly the one from upside, but he actually participates in this mission, but he wasn't going to fight with his squad, he was asked to destroy the mine to make sure that the army of Makarov doesnt came out alive, and give Time to the helicopter from Sandman to escape He completes his mission and the helicopter can escape...but saldy, he realices that his team chopper isn't there, that the only ones that came alive where Price and Yuri. Tries to call Sandman, but nobody picks up...he gets promoted and given the captain rank of the Thermite 0-1 Squad, but he always carries the fault of thinking that he killed His team Both could be true, but it's confirmed that Frost doesn't dies, the two bodies that are in the elevator were two enemies and (later) the recruit And, being honest, with all the things that Frost did, His team would be More sad about His death
In the previous mission, there is a building that falls in front of Frost. For a brief moment, you see Frost looking at his hands but are covered with gloves. I think he may have been injured and couldn't be part of this mission.

For anyone who's wondering why Sandman said Makarov will turn Europe into glass,he's referring to the extremely hot heat that the nuclear bombs create,which in turn can literally turn soils in ground zero and the surrounding area into glass.
It is odd. While the Mi-24 is one of the fastest helicopters on the market it only has an operational range of about three hundred miles. Siberia is nearly 5000 miles away from Berlin, so that's a LOT of gas stops for one chopper.

I'm a strong believer that if the game has a music track, it enhances the experiences, and with the exception of two or three cases, (namely being Rhythm games as a whole, and some of the older click through games) I strongly believe that removing music when the game had the music in the first lowers the quality of the experience. Without listening to the tones given during Metal-0 Ones Last Stand, I can't help but feel like something was lost.

There was a DLC in MW3 to show that Frost is racing down to the mines to destroy the so number 2 is canon.
