- SOLD! Congratulations and safe travels to the new owners.
Mabuhay is an impressive trawler that is both visually appealing and practical. Her sturdy gray gelcoat hull and streamlined long profile, embellished with blue stripes, create a stylish, confident and capable cruiser. With three cabins and two heads, the vessel assures a comfortable stay for its guests. Along with the cockpit, foredeck, boat deck, and flybridge, Mabuhay offers a well-equipped exterior.
The Nordhavn 50 model has stood the test of time as a reliable and efficient long-range cruiser. Hull number twenty-five and the final model of its series, Mabuhay is now available for sale by its third owner. Her original purchaser had opted for many sought-after amenities, including a wide-body saloon, a three-cabin layout, a wet exhaust for the primary engine, a well-furnished flybridge, and an Aritex dinghy crane.

I’m stacking my pennies. Getting ever closer. Some day I will be calling you! In the meantime everyone of these videos is motivation to work another day. I’ve got enough to retire but not enough for the Nordhavn and to retire, so back to the grind I go!
Ystebad: Thank you for watching and for saving up. It will be worth every penny when it is your turn and we look forward to helping you with your retirement adventures.
Filipino owner? Mabuhay!!! Long live.
and the dinghy is named "Tara Na" meaning "Let's Go!".
Nailed it!
Walter: Yes and Yes!
We have a Nordhavn 50, also on the market. We have zero complaints about the non-raked windows, as well as the boat itself. Put the weight where you want it by shifting fuel around, which is easily and smoothly accomplished on this boat. The boat is heavy, a beast, and extraordinarily sexy.
Susan: Thank you. Grey Goose is an amazing sistership and yes, also listed by JMYS through Mark Pittman and John Hoffman.
Viewers: The 50 design is one of the best every created by PAE/Nordhavn and coveted by experienced cruisers. The windscreen is how 98% of the boats are and it's consistent across the 50 series - all are the same. Very robust and capable as Susan states!
Thanks! You answered my question about why it was running slightly bow down with what appeared to be full fuel tanks.
@@2wheelsr2wheels39 Thank you!
If you are looking to purchase a trawler for cruising you must look at this brand. Top quality throughout. They have multiple sizes up to over 100'+. These yachts are very well thought out.
TopDad: Nordhavn has a 96' and a 100' and have designed a 148'. For owner operators they offer over a dozen models under 80'. Thank you for watching, we agree, it is a great brand!
Beautiful, well looked after ship. Can't call it a boat. Very clean and well looked after. Great job on tge video. One day😊
SC:" Thank you, she has been active and cared for. Boat, trawler, yacht, ship - call her whatever you want. Yes, Mark Pittman did a great job filming.
Good video with great narration. I'm sending it to my brother in the Chicago area. I live in Miami and somehow this might be a good way for us to commute between our homes.
Stephen: Thank you for your nice comment. I like your idea of traveling by water between Chicago and Miami - a Nordhavn 50 would be a great way to go!
If only it had the forward raked windscreen. Otherwise one of my dream yachts.
Fanboy: All of the 50s have the same rake windscreen. It actually works great, but seems a bit inconsistent compared to most of the other Nordhavns. I think you could get used to it!
@@JeffMerrillYachts guess I will need to set my sights on a larger model 😂
@@MandalorianFanboy Well, that is one solution! The 57 also has the same rake windscreen (about five 57's were built with reverse rake.
Mabuhay is a Pinoy (Filipino) word that is like "mahalo" in Hawaiian.
Iron: It is a great name
Nice! Does it have a washer/dryer? (Liveaboard?) Please show more storage and the fridge freezer space. Thank you for this video.
Nato: Asko separate clothes washer and dryer. There is also a top load freezer under the watch berth in the pilothouse. We can't change the video, there is a lot of storage - you can see more photos and full specifications on JMYS.com. Better yet, contact listing broker Mark Pittman - Mark@JMYS.com or call him 803.320.3586 for a detailed review. Thank you!
this is a beast.
Teddy: She is. An elegant, stout, safe and reliable go-anywhere trawler
@@JeffMerrillYachts thats a snu snu beast.
@@teddybearisms2505 I looked it up, no idea what a Snu Snu beast is
@@JeffMerrillYachts you could not have looked very hard. It's a pretty famous Futurama reference for a tribe of 10 foot tall women who um...they...to men.... to death.
Nice
Paul: Thank you
Ner a mention of the year re this boat. Unless I missed it
Ivan: All details on JMYS.com. Mabuhay is a 2003 model year. If you pause the video at about the 20 second mark we have a Specification sheet with the model year, hull number and other important details. Thank you for watching!
👍
Don: Thank you
Access to the engine room is from the Master stateroom? How loud is it with the engine and/or generator running? Hope it's soundproofed well.
Jeff: Yes, the door in owner stateroom is primary access. Dogged and quiet, no louder than the saloon area above the engine room- you know it's running, but Nordhavn pays special attention to sound, especially when the person paying for the boat is sleeping in the room next door!
Sad day with the far too early loss to Mister Florida Jimmy Buffet.
George: We will all miss Jimmy, but we can hear him anytime we wish and his spirit is shared throughout the boating community.
Uau!!!
Private: Thank you!
Very nice boat, still can't get away from the pastel colours though. At least it isn't that pastel yellow or baby puke green as I've seen on other nordhaven's
Terry: Everyone has different tastes and preferences. If you don't like it, you can change the colors, kind of a minor thing really.
Beautiful boat , but a lot of stuff seems a little odd , or out of place for a Nordhavn.
Odd isn't the word, you are too kind.
Doug: Hard to respond without something specific...can you provide one example of what you see as "odd"? Thank you, this is a fantastic Nordhavn 50 in great shape and very well cared for.
MrCobb: If you can please share with me what you think is "off", I'm curious to hear your opinion. Thank you.
I guess it's just too unconventional for me. I apologize for my unjustified opinions here; my flavor is just too much Kadey Krogan against the varieties of these Nords. I'll just move on, but she or that style is definitely not for me. @@JeffMerrillYachts
@@MrCobb-rq8iv Kadey Krogen builds great boats and the styling preferences are choices you make as the buyer. Good luck with your hunt!
I have watched several videos on UA-cam about Nordhaven 50s and I can't help it but each one of them looks like this particular Nordhaven is too heavy up front. Watch this one N50Getaway. Something doesn't look right. Or this one nordhaven50 Trawler - [Talk Through Tour] - SOLD!
Srupp: The fuel tanks in the engine room and lazarette can carry a lot of weight and "lever" the bow depending upon how much diesel they are carrying. This is a very smooth boat through the water. With full fuel tanks the bow will come up since the aft section is weighed down.
A heavy bow adds stability in heavy seas.
@@larrymcgill5508 It can, but not always, I've been aboard with bow down and the bow tries to steer the boat
Plows like an old cow.
@@MrCobb-rq8iv This is a full displacement trawler with a bulbous bow, plowing through the water is exactly what she is designed to do. I don't even think a spirited calf could do half as good of a job - when cows swim and pigs fly?
Not up to the usual JMYS standard of presentation. Quite rushed and superficial. Just a salesman. Doesn’t seem to have the same appreciation of boats and detail that Jeff imbues his videos with. Nice boat though regardless of the presentation.
Larry: I appreciate you taking the time to comment. I think Mark Pittman did a great job with the filming. It's funny, we can't win. When I do a voice over (like I did for this video), people want to see me. Then, when I'm giving the tour, they just want to see the boat, not the presenter. The boat is spectacular, we will continue to work on improving our presentations.
@@JeffMerrillYachtsHmmmm…have you ever considered that the ones who complain the most about these videos are the wannabes who could not afford these beautiful boats in their wildest dreams? 😩
Great reply !!!@@larrymcgill5508
@mark-ib7sz not really great. It was actually kind of negative. The reply from Jeff (the gentleman actually selling the boat) was actually great.
@@larrymcgill5508 You make a good point, but if they want to take the time to watch and comment, I try to reply
