Matt: Thank you for watching. If we get a 43 fly listing and can do a video we will post it here. One of the first JMYS videos was Earl R - a flybridge 43.
I love your videos. They are helping me to decide which model Nordhavn I'm getting once bitcoin hits $500k Leaning towards a Nordhavn 55 at the moment.
Fanboy: Thank you for watching. There are a lot of great Nordhavn models, as you plan and prepare it would be helpful to find time to get aboard them to see what they are like
Boomer: Thank you for watching and commenting. Actually, you are too late, she has already been through survey and accepted, we will be closing soon, but there is always another boat coming down the waterway!
What is the flying bridge clearance? Can the mast be lowered for loop crusing? Also, is this primarily a off shore cruiser or is also a blue water cruiser?
Bob: The vessel has a pilothouse note saying bridge clearance is approximately 26'10". The mast has a fixed base, but it could be removed to clear bridges. Another option would be to hinge the mast base for easier and repeat lowering. The 40 model has crossed oceans and circumnavigated - she is at home out in the ocean and on a coastal trek. Thank you for watching
5700: We have never filmed a wing engine explanation video, good idea. The wing engine is an independent propulsion package to serve as a back up/get home system if there is a failure with the main engine. They are quite common on long range, single engine ocean capable trawlers like the Nordhavn 40
Lord: A helm chair won't fit (very easily) and sitting on the bench seat is comfortable. For docking, with this pilothouse, a helm chair would restrict you from going side to side.
On a long leg the trawler is operated by autopilot while the owner sits on a bench and sips his drink. When intense steering required in a harbour, there is no time to sit in a helm chair.
@@LordLauderdale All boats have tradeoffs, Kondybas has a good response. The 43 Nordhavn was the result of the 40 ATW trip and the pilothouse was designed to be able to accommodate a helm chair.
User: Great question. The wing engine has its' own "redundant" propulsion package. Engine, transmission, shaft and propeller, even a separate fuel tank and start battery.
I love how Norhavn's, new or older, most always look new!!! I think if you own a Nordhavn then you look after her :)
Ulbre: It is a great brand, and you are correct, most who own them lavish extraordinary care to keep them at high standards.
What a stunning beauty!
Oliver: Thank you for watching, I agree!
Great walkthrough and a very nice looking 40. Just waiting on a new 43 with flybridge walkthrough video!

Благодарствую Марк и Джефф!!!
Zoza: Hello again!
Nice Trawler!
Erica: Thank you!
Okay, I'm officially in love.
Terry: Thank you for watching, she is a lot to embrace!
@@JeffMerrillYachts I'll be seriously looking in the next 2 - 3 years when I sell my business and retire. I'm interested in the 40 to 42 foot range.
We were loving this boat and I joked with my wife that I’d call and make an offer in the morning… Then we saw the pilot house.

I had a fairly difficult time finding a good explanation of the wing engine.
Do you have any videos on this subject?

Great Boat, Nord's always seem to be though.
MrSoloun: Thank you, they are very solid
Nice
Thank you Paul
Lekker man lekker 🇿🇦
Gerhard: Thank you!
Man wish it was over in Asia I might of bought it
Beca: One of the advantages of a Nordhavn is that you can move if where it is to where you want it!
At last only one head and shower with good size instead of two cramped ones🤠
It's a 2 bed/1 bath cottage that does 8 knots and can circumnavigate the world.
YES PLEASE
Framfull: Thank you for your nice comment, the 40 has a great layout.
Mesaper: Well put! A circumcottagenavigator?!
Hello poderia ATIVAR A LEGENDA PARA PORTUGUÊS OBRIGADO AMIGO....
Thank you, I will see what we need to do to activate the subtitles to Portuguese!
Really awesome. But i prefer the 40 II without Flybridge.
Farm: That is why they build both versions. Both excellent trawlers
I get it it’s a trawler yet still, how is not having a helm-chair an advantage …
Lord: A helm chair won't fit (very easily) and sitting on the bench seat is comfortable. For docking, with this pilothouse, a helm chair would restrict you from going side to side.
@@JeffMerrillYachts yes, can see the pilot house is too small for a helm chair. Not the best design from Nordhavn. Thanks 🙏🏻 for your reply

@@kondybas Thank you, correct. The 40 bench is just fine for a long leg and without a helm chair "blocking you" it is easier to get from side to side.
$?????
Rein: She is sold. Final price close to her listed price of $495,000.00. Thank you for asking.
Do the wing engines have a separate prop shat and rudder or run off the main prop? Asking for a friend 😊

Shaft
Got it
