- Matt is out field goose hunting with his buddies Jack and Tyler in a snowstorm. It isn't long before the geese show up and start decoying right in. The trio's aim is on point and it isn't very long until limits are filled. Goose hunts are seldom better than this! They wait out for ducks but they never show. Still it is an amazing day of goose hunting!

Wow! What a Hunt and Goose Hunting so much fun. I’ve done many hunts in S Calif in the 90’s and Eastern Shore MD in the 80’s. Great filming and now the Not-Fun part, filleting the breast’s, But corn fed Honkers will be like eating steak👍

What is the maximum range you guys shoot? Sometimes it looks like a bit to far but it can be the camera. For the reat perfect job.

Really good video! I like it. But why do you guys always shoot the gooses in the air? Wouldn't it be easier if you wait until they land? Is it just for the fun because they crash after? I've always asked me that ^^
Thanks! It'd be easier but oftentimes they don't land. It's also considered less sporting. Really is just personal preference

You boys need to make it to Wisconsin. We literally have the sub species of "Giant Canada Geese". These suckers are bigguns!
How big are they?
@High Prairie Sportsmen 15-16 pounds in the late season if you can believe it. Super hard to clean because there is so much fat. We're known for the big birds. Look onto the horicon marsh and giant canda geese

I would have been standing next to aBarn Fire in those Cedars . Dont know why you needed a pop up blind here but those ducks and Geese wont flair from a fire.

Okay so I’m brand new to duck hunting, might be a dumb question here lol so with those bird calls, do you have to mimic that call or does the bird call do it for you and you just have to blow into it
You have to learn how to make the sounds with the call.

Matt, did the ol versa max give ya the Benelli "click" lol... Did you ever figure out if it was the gun or the round that didn't go boom? I just bought a Franchi Affinity Elite Waterfowl this year and it went click when I was patterning it. Now I check it always.
Haha it did! It was the gun. Action popped open just like a Benelli. I usually check it too
Great hunt but you're better off using silos during a heavy snowstorm because they don't get covered in snow

That really shocks me that those birds would even think about coming that close to those trees
In crappy weather, they'll tuck up pretty close to them to get out of the wind.
