If your deciding between airroll right and left, all you have to do is figure out which way you would diagonal flip. So if you diagonal flip to the left, use airroll left.
I didn’t realize how much settings mattered. Also I didn’t even know that changing the size of the nameplates was possible. Because I’ve heard so many UA-camrs or “pros” say, “keep an eye on your enemies as well as your teammate along with the ball.” And while that is helpful, it’s sometimes hard to actually SEE them when their vehicles are so small when far away, so maybe this nameplate will help me be able to predict my opponents moves a little bit better. Because my problem is usually the predicting part. Like I’ll think the enemy is gonna hit the ball and they end up not, then when I think they’re not gonna hit the ball they end up hitting it. But I’m definitely using your tips to get better, sometimes I forget them and don’t apply them due to how fast everything is and how something can happen in the blink of an eye, but so far your tips have definitely helped me improve. It’s also helping me figure out what I need to improve too.

I tend to hesitate on shots that are obvious to go for and then I end up getting scored on and I'm like, "Why did I not go for the ball?"

I don't even use directional air roll to spin in the air. I only use it for my half flip lol. Its literally ridiculous how everyone thinks directional air roll is more "precise". Im literally gc3 in both 3s and 2s and i got there WITHOUT directional air roll. Please everyone use what youre comfortable with. Its not that deep

Note that you should avoid setting your frame rate higher than your monitor's refresh rate, as physics and input polling rates are separate from frame rate in Rocket League. Having a frame rate higher than your refresh rate can sometimes introduce other visual anomolies.
With default drive controls, where is it best to put boost? I have air roll and drift on L1 so R1 is really the only option, but that feels wrong unless you play claw
Im not normal ig, Im champ one and using triangle for airrol right, square for airrol left, x for jump and circle for boost, ballcam on left joystick, powerslide on r1 but ive got the muscle memory now.
I implement all of the other tips in my gameplay except for having boost on the back of my controller. This is because Dont have paddles on my controller and cant put my movement on the left stick I hae tried it for a month and could not get used to it. What should I do???

Those graphic settings look terrible though. I run high quality at 144fps which is my refresh rate so I don't see any benefit to turning everything down.

A bit of a wrong explanation about input lag, it's not actually your inputs lagging. The so-called "input lag" is a delay between something actually happening in game (i.e. being registered on your PC) and that thing being rendered on your screen, which by extension makes your inputs seem like they happen a bit later. That's exactly why you turn off VSync, as the way it generally works is by delaying rendering of frames to match your screen freq.
You´re right, we should not use other players´ configurations. I tried the one you mention in this video changing buttons and I lost immediately (Poor team mate) ....

I turned vertical sync off and the game run like with lines, like old tvs is not good for me I guess
have it off and just increase ur fps so run on like 240fps on 165fps or something even if ur monitor is 144hz, it will help the screen tearing
