    What i noticed is C1 is almost similar as D3, but with better shots on net. C2 however is a different game. One touch plays get less effective and result in opponent having possession. One will get stuck in C1 unless they play for possession.

    This video nailed it. I went from Gold to diamond this season by focusing more on how i play the game, using corners to put the ball to nullify danger and pushing the ball to the other side of the field.

    Hey Luke, just thinking about a comment you made on one of your videos a couple weeks ago about how people are asking why you aren’t a higher rank, and that you’re saying that the videos are taking a lot of time out of you playing rl. I think if you really want to get to SSL, you can just take some time off from the coaching and just grind for that rank. You do a lot for other people and I think you should treat yourself. I’m sure your viewers (including me) would enjoy some lightly edited gameplay of your grind-something that takes less time to edit, gives you a chance to play and improve, and is just something different from the tutorials. Maybe after you could go back into the footage and explain what you learned and how it can improve our gameplay. Hope this reaches you ❤

      Hey FondsRL, glad to hear that his videos are helping u relax, however I hope u understand that this is just a coping mechanism which would work in short term. For long term relief we need to address anxiety directly with therapy, mental exercises like mindfulness, and physical excercise like gym and yoga, and healthy diet. I hope u r aware of all this, wish u well ♥️

    Being D2-D3 (started only recently competitive), it seems that this season, we do have lot of C2-3 or higher in Diamond causing huge unfair games. So this could be not valid this season. Playing against better opponents will learn you to play better quicker, that is the good thing, but this is the hard way.

    • @raza.y
      @raza.y Рік тому +4

      Play more reserved if you get chaser tm8s. Ignore Quick Chat spam. All you need is to be able to clear ball away and score long goals. You might lose some matches but in time you will rank up.

    • @someoneonearth5354
      @someoneonearth5354 Рік тому +1

      if you have the "shooter" or as i call them the ball chasers just keep rotation with the 3rd man and be ready for any big clears from the opponent or to get a rebound from your shooter once they mess up the general idea is to wait till the shooter messes up and you have a clear shot, if you have the goalkeeper keep rotation with the 1st man and be ready to expect your 3rd man to not always have boost so you might have to cut them off sometimes but there isnt as much to do about a goalkeeper compared to the shooter.

  • @BSBL-Reid
    @BSBL-Reid Рік тому

    For me, I was a full mechanical player and didn't really focus on rotating even tho I knew how to do it. So this season's placement games I played smart and focused on rotations and I won all of my placements. That goes to show you that in D2-C1 you don't need to be super mechanical

  • @syd9969

    I think im pretty high up there for plat in terms of mechanics, I can air dribble whenever I want with good control, I can do ground to air shots, and ceilings shots. But I think I have terrible game sense. Since I know how to do these ‘cool’ shots, I believe I take those shots instead of just shooting the ball at the net/power shot. So… because I know I can do an aerial shot, that actually holds me back. I need to tell myslef that if I have time I don’t need to take the ball up the wall. Plats can’t save power shots but they can save aerial shots

    • @38WARREN
      @38WARREN 4 місяці тому

      It’s simpler than that. Take an aerial shot if you want, you just have to be able to recover and play defense, don’t challenge when your teammate is still upfield with no boost, etc. Most plats and diamonds have all offense and no defense.

      If opponent shot the ball to your corner and you are going back and your tm8 isn't back yet then you can wait for the bounce on corner instead of trying to dive into corner and missing because bounces are hard to read. In most cases ball wouldn't bounce too hard so you just need to be place yourself in a way that you are first to the ball after the bounce, so rotating to near post or back post depends on ball speed and how far the opponent is

    Feelling that below GC wave dashing is not necessary, in fact if youv'e made sure your positioning is correct wave dashing is not going to be needed, since the primary reason for wave dashing is to increase your speed after recovery to build momentum in order to get back in proper positioning to begin with.

    • @Wordbird69
      @Wordbird69 Рік тому

      Training wavedash is a great outlet for understanding recovery mechanics and transitioning from wall to ground or ground to wall with speed, stability, and power.
      Working wall to ground wavedashes and vice versa is also great way to train boost meter awareness as it takes 10ish boost to execute amoothly and has the added bonus of you keep some boost in reserve and still move around the pitch fast.

    I know people say it's not your teammates but what if I do all this and then my teammate comes in and just does not do all that you said and solo plays and never passes and just does nothing but try to score because they think they are ssl when they are Plat

    is your quick coaching the reason gc is suddenly getting so difficult, because that seems correct to me

    I normally play fps games so I use the lowest trigger settings- as in barely touch for full press.
    Should I be using the hair trigger or revert to the long trigger press?

      full to have more control of your speed

    • @MrPinkDino
      @MrPinkDino Рік тому +1

      Choose the one that feels easiest to control for you, rather low trigger so less chance to accidentally go the wrong way. Same with dodge deadzone, you want to keep it high so you don't backflip on fast aerials so much. Control is super important.
      Over time when you get used to control you want to gradually switch to faster controls as speed starts to matter more and more.

    The thing that is touch about rotation is videos NEVER give you a situation in a low rank game. It’s like teaching people how to drive by giving examples from a pro nascar driver😢

    Imo, the truth is when you work your mechanics you will rank-up slower at the beginning but much faster after. And at the end, you will be GC faster that "only gamesense people"

      @someoneonearth5354 Рік тому

      id say its the other way around, if you work on mechs you will rank up faster in the low ranks bc most of them havent trained how to defend against you and in the higher ranks itll slow down bc they would have already known how to position when they see you go for the shot and counter it, game sense would progess much slower in the low ranks bc they dont fully understand the concepts but as they rank higher your positioning and your teammates positioning will be better and your chances of winning games will be higher

      @@anonihme5142 well thats not really possible you will always keep on learning about gamesense as you play so you will eventually understand the concept

    Personally I don’t want to be “coached” but would rather just want to play with higher ranked players
