When I think of Courage the Cowardly Dog, the first episode that immediately pops into my mind is "King Ramses' Curse". The reason? There's a creepy image that will never be able to escape my mind still to this day, 15 or so years later. Looking back at this episode however, I now see it completely differently and I see the genius intent behind it.

Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"But people who long to be rich fall into temptation and are trapped by many foolish and harmful desires that plunge them into ruin and destruction." - 1 Timothy 6:9 (NLT)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

The episode of Courage the Cowardly Dog that traumatized me as a child was the one with the claymation looking alien thing that said “You’re not perfect.” Freaked me out so bad my mom wouldn’t let me watch it anymore
All creepiness aside, there's actually a life lesson
Eustace head with a duck's body, that was very creepy for me I felt very bad for him.
Mine is that the Violin Girl who screamed right in front of me as a kid. I better face her out before she faces me.
It’s so fucked up that none of these episodes freaked me out as a kid

“You’re not perfect” creeped me out way more than this episode. I think it may have been the last episode but not sure
Yeah, it was the last episode.
It was the last episode. I thought the last episode is going to be where Courage finally defeated all the villains in a dodgeball game or where he faced off a vet who happened to be a kidnapper of his parents.
The last episode was the remembrance of courages past, its basically how they found him in the first place
Both did but the demon fetus from hell still gives me nightmares:(
Seeing Ramnses now he’s nothing compared
It was scary now I think it's silly n funny
Something about some deformed entity telling everyone a universal truth is amusing
My brother was terrified with this episode, but he was kind of addicted to it because of how it made him feel, so he watched it over and over. He was a weird kid lol
You might need to teach him
That me in middle school with The Grudge haha. I was terrified but I watched it over and over 😂😂
I was the same way with this episode. Lol
Pretty sure that's the experience of most Courage fans.
I was laughing
for me the scariest scene was either "Violin girl" or "You're not perfect"
i agree
I swear that violin girl terrified the hell outta me
“Your not perfect” really affected me as a child, man..
You mean the fetus nightmare courage had?
Those scenes used to scare me, along with King Ramses. But now that I've seen them more and I'm older, they're just really outdated, but still cool.
King Rameses always terrified me when I was a kid, but now I just think he sounds like Kevin Costner

One time I convinced a girl I was Kevin Costner!

You have to admit Eustace’s line “ What’s your offer “ was hilarious 😂

At 28 now as an adult eustace is my favourite character
"Return the Slab!" That creature gave me nightmares for weeks when I was younger. Still loved it though.
After I watched king rames show up I turned my whole TV off when I was younger
That blue alien thingy in one episode creeped me more out
I used to pretend to be King Ramses to scare my younger siblings.
Your Mother 😂
Thanks, Mom
The heck
My mother used to do the same to me
My older sisters did that to me
Eustace: Ehh it’s trash
Television: It’s got some big money.
Eustace: *Ah sweet mother of biscuits, I’m RICH!*
yeah i might like kpop but im also a fan of courage the cowerdly dog
"So next time you notice greed taking control of your life..."
Me: WHAT'S YOUR OFFER?
Lol
Courage the cowardly dog was and still is my favorite show. I used this show to get away from the world when I was transferring through different foster homes, I used it to escape when I was abused, And I used it to escape when I was separated from my sisters. Sitting alone in my room, watching the small tv in the corner and seeing a pink dog save his family from danger, always cheered me up. I thought that one day I would be able to have a family or a “courage” in my life to save me from the madness going on. Now I’m living with my current family and my separated sisters and I are together. I have never been so happy and I am relived that I have a “courage” in this situation. If you were to step into my room, you would see courage everywhere. It’s not because I’m addicted, it’s because it cancels out some of the bad memories I have. Courage taught me so many lessons, and I am forever grateful for the show.
i always thought the one with the face in the basement was scariest. i had so many nightmares dude
The episode is scariest than king ramses curse and I even know the episode name The House Of Disconnect
Ur profile picture is the scariest
basement head was the one that didnt scare me at all lol
same
You mean The Spirit of the Harvest Moon from The House of Discontent.
For an antagonist who’s not inherently evil, King Ramses was pretty creepy. The uncanny valley CGI, the haunting voice, and even the background music that played whenever he appeared.
I was terrified by King Ramses as a child. As soon as I saw the episode title card I would change the channel. Great episode though.
Probably the cartoon that doesn't underestimate a child's knowledge, and actually shows how reality really is, still the best cartoon.
Definately terrifying when youre a kid. Really weird, eerie & creepy.
"Aw cmon"
You gotta admit that line is actually funny
That was the moment I realized Ramses was just wanting his stuff back and wasn’t all that scary
Murial wears glasses to hide the darkness her eyes has witnessed
As a child, I was actually never creeped out by this show since I was too innocent back then and it was even my favorite in CN in the past. However, this episode was the only one that had me so scared and traumatized I could never look at our door that time😂 and the voice acting for King Ramsey is just always giving me goosebumps.
Same here
it wasn't just this episode but the whole series scared me 😭😭
The episode where they took his parents made me cry. King Ramsey’s curse is the most unforgettable ep for me for some reason lol “ return the slabbb.. or suffer my curseee “ even my mom remembers that episode 😂

I remember being scared of King Ramses until the second plague. The song along with him going “Aww come on” after Courage smashes the record player just made made me laugh.
I loved Courage! “Return the Slab!” That scene terrified me when I was little. Now I just love it. Man this was just an incredible show. Cartoon Network really had some gems back in the day.
This video.... such a great message, I don’t see enough people paying attention to the greed that lurks all around, thank you for putting this out there, we desperately need more Self awareness
Real respect to Kemet
“That scene” was rlly scary, when I was a kid not knowing what cgi was in a 2d show it rlly rlly scared me lol and the voice of this thing just added more scare
Yeah me too
Fredo Arero didn’t mean to unlike but yeah
Who else just started thinking Courage The Cowardly Dog to be one of the most meaningful cartoons??
Me
Other people around my age said this crept them out so much as children. I loved it and now I write horror stories for a living.
For some reason I remember watching this late at night alone as a kid.
The animation and audio felt so distubing because it looked like it was something between the cartoon's art style and I guess the real world. Like, it could somehow manifest itself in real life.
The droning audio felt somehow supernatural, too, with voice acting that legitimately sounded like a spiritual being beckoning from beyond.
This is why this episode was the most memorable to me, and today as an adult I really appreciate how well-done it all came together.
The YTPs of this episode make it far less scary. Like replacing King Ramses' theme song with Justin Bieber's "Baby".
Oh my god I need to watch those now.

The most scary episode: King Ramses
The most disturbing episode: the mask
The most heroic episode: windmill vandals
The most emotional episode: where Courage his parents get abducted
The most funny episode: Eustage with that thundercloud above his head
And the most meaningful episode: perfect
The most creepiest episode: freaky Fred the episode where Muriel's creepy crazy hair cutting brother Fred decides to pay them a visit.
Personally, the funniest one was The Clutching Foot.
That Puddle Woman episode scared me the most. A woman can lure people into her water kingdom through ANY amount of water. She lured people in order to ritualistically eat them alive, leaving hundreds of skeletons around her castle. And Courage racing to escape before the puddle dried up... so Lovecraftian, I was reminded of it when I first saw The Pale Man in Pan's Labryinth.
King rameses curse
King raneses:WHERE'S THE LAMB SUACE
I think the scariest scene is when at the end of the episode, Muriel and Eustace get turned into puppets and Courage controls there dead bodies with string.
Just knowing they are lifeless puppets is super scary.
Oh yeah!! That one was creepy!
