The reload animations are straight up trash though, the magazine isn't even animated. By 2008 a lot of third person games already had animated magazines on weapons when reloading. Hell, Medal of Honor Allied Assault from 2002 already had animated magazines and even animated moving bolts on weapons when firing in third person.

I love the punchy gun sound from GTA 4, the ones in GTA 5 is not satisfying at all for me, even the shotguns (which is usually easily satisfying) sounds muffled or something. That and also the physics engine with its ragdoll contribute greatly to the gunplay in GTA 4 for me. (the reloads sucks balls tho 🤣)

All I can say is I played GTA IV when it was brand new, and I pre-ordered GTA V when it was brand new. All I can say is, I liked GTA V, but it was moreso like an interactive, nature reserve than an actual world. The city felt lifeless, say the same thing to the same people over and over again. Side-missions that would only please Jesse Pinkmen; come on Rockstar, this isn't 20 year slump, it's only been nearly 10 years. GTA V also has a story issue, where I feel I'm watching a movie designed by Michael Bay, but somebody else who is slightly high. The characters are plastic, Michael is basically a extremely dubbed down Walter White (a guy with an X issue, so he's doing a Y result), Franklin is basically Eazy-E with extreme, whiny, and disobete issues, and Trevor is just The Walking Dead walking. He's a soap opera, he's strung out, he's overberring, and honestly I enjoyed killing him, made me feel as if I was pulling the plug on The Walking Dead. The guns are like what I've fired from an actual airsoft rifle, just a bunch of air, or "fake" rounds. The arcade style driving from the 90's, would work if it was the 90's, or 2000's. Overall, it's a 7/10, nearly 6, but for unknown reasons I'm giving it a 7, I can hardly find a good aspect maybe apart from graphics are improved. Now, GTA IV I recently replayed on Xbox One, and I was happy with the results. The fighting, missions, guns, control, abilites all felt slightly dry, but understandable, good. I push certain buttons to beat up somebody, and they fall, amazing, but not as extensive as some may say, but it's enough to occupy some. The cars aren't as boaty as most proclaim they are, some cars are, most aren't. I never had an issue with the "boaty" feel, moreso the brakes weren't the greatest. The side-missions feel like reality, you meet somebody with issues, or people with a problem, and you give them an assistence in assorting that issue, done, get money. The story is on par with cop-thillers from the 1970's. I could rate the story alone 8, or 9/10, mainly because it was a better example of an X issue, and a Y result. Niko Belic is attempting to escape the pressures of his European life, so he is given an oppertunity in America to set a bar. Then he deals with the Russian Mafia, and then he tears ass through the Liberty City underworld to aquire what he wants (he's basically a European Walter White, just with no family, no DEA issues, no meth lab, and no RV). Bottom line, play GTA IV or piss your pants.

If no one uses this gun into their military it's for a reason mate. Too expensive, too much recoil, too big, too heavy, ammunition for this gun are too expensive, it doesn't hold that much round compare to a revolver which would fire the same round but doesn't have as many issues..etc etc. And actually, in CQC situations, it would be FAR better to have a tiner and less powerful sidearm. Having a powerful, bulky gun that kicks like a mule doesn't do you any good especially if you miss your target at the first shot. A double tap on the trigger with a 9 mm pistol will do much better. The Desert Eagle is still a pretty darn impressive and interesting gun...But it's useless. Like basically all attempts to make "the most powerful shit possible". The MARS Automatic was also the most powerful handgun of its era...tho, nobody gave a shit about it, same problems more or less.
Also can we all pause the debate of which game has better sounds for a second and question why Trevor is shooting guns at the beach in his underwear...?

I liked GTA 4's damage engine on npc's if you shot a guy in the arm he'd drop his gun, if you shot him in the leg he'd hobble away.

GTA 5's assault rifle sounds like it's shooting faster than it actually is. It almost shooting as slow as the Kruger in Vice City.
I love the punchy gun sound from GTA 4, the ones in GTA 5 is not satisfying at all for me, even the shotguns (which is usually easily satisfying) sounds muffled or something.
That and also the physics engine with its ragdoll contribute greatly to the gunplay in GTA 4 for me.

In GTA V, characters hold pistols and rifles with proper grips unlike GTA IV, but the shooting in IV seemed more...fluid to me.

All I can say is I played GTA IV when it was brand new, and I pre-ordered GTA V when it was brand new. All I can say is, I liked GTA V, but it was moreso like an interactive, nature reserve than an actual world. The city felt lifeless, say the same thing to the same people over and over again. Side-missions that would only please Jesse Pinkmen; come on Rockstar, this isn't 20 year slump, it's only been nearly 10 years.
GTA V also has a story issue, where I feel I'm watching a movie designed by Michael Bay, but somebody else who is slightly high. The characters are plastic, Michael is basically a extremely dubbed down Walter White (a guy with an X issue, so he's doing a Y result), Franklin is basically Eazy-E with extreme, whiny, and disobete issues, and Trevor is just The Walking Dead walking. He's a soap opera, he's strung out, he's overberring, and honestly I enjoyed killing him, made me feel as if I was pulling the plug on The Walking Dead.
The guns are like what I've fired from an actual airsoft rifle, just a bunch of air, or "fake" rounds. The arcade style driving from the 90's, would work if it was the 90's, or 2000's. Overall, it's a 7/10, nearly 6, but for unknown reasons I'm giving it a 7, I can hardly find a good aspect maybe apart from graphics are improved.
Now, GTA IV I recently replayed on Xbox One, and I was happy with the results. The fighting, missions, guns, control, abilites all felt slightly dry, but understandable, good. I push certain buttons to beat up somebody, and they fall, amazing, but not as extensive as some may say, but it's enough to occupy some. The cars aren't as boaty as most proclaim they are, some cars are, most aren't. I never had an issue with the "boaty" feel, moreso the brakes weren't the greatest. The side-missions feel like reality, you meet somebody with issues, or people with a problem, and you give them an assistence in assorting that issue, done, get money.
The story is on par with cop-thillers from the 1970's. I could rate the story alone 8, or 9/10, mainly because it was a better example of an X issue, and a Y result. Niko Belic is attempting to escape the pressures of his European life, so he is given an oppertunity in America to set a bar. Then he deals with the Russian Mafia, and then he tears ass through the Liberty City underworld to aquire what he wants (he's basically a European Walter White, just with no family, no DEA issues, no meth lab, and no RV).
Bottom line, play GTA IV or piss your pants.

If no one uses this gun into their military it's for a reason mate.
Too expensive, too much recoil, too big, too heavy, ammunition for this gun are too expensive, it doesn't hold that much round compare to a revolver which would fire the same round but doesn't have as many issues..etc etc.
And actually, in CQC situations, it would be FAR better to have a tiner and less powerful sidearm.
Having a powerful, bulky gun that kicks like a mule doesn't do you any good especially if you miss your target at the first shot.
A double tap on the trigger with a 9 mm pistol will do much better.
The Desert Eagle is still a pretty darn impressive and interesting gun...But it's useless. Like basically all attempts to make "the most powerful shit possible".
The MARS Automatic was also the most powerful handgun of its era...tho, nobody gave a shit about it, same problems more or less.
the 44 revolver have more recoil and its not neither used by army no need to make a shit about it
