Inaccuracies that the subtitles didn’t spot: All pistols eject bottlenecked casings. Sometimes pistol slides don’t work. Some pistols don’t use their slide release. The revolvers don’t seem to use speed loaders. The contender and flare guns’s empty casing doesn’t exist. The contender and flare gun don’t use their action release. The double barrel doesn’t use its release lever. The SPAS-12 doesn’t use its carrier latch. The KSG never switches its magazine tube. The Uzi, Thompson, AUG, and TAR-21 don’t pull their charging handle far enough backwards. The Tec-9 and Skorpion never pull back their charging handle. The MP5 has a reciprocating charging handle and punches its charging handle straight on. The Type 56 doesn’t use its front sight. The QBZ’s bolt should lock back. The M60 should manually have its bolt locked back before opening its feed tray. The Barret and BFG sound like they’re being manually operated when ADS. A handheld Minigun is unideal for a number of reasons. I could list more, but I don’t want to be here forever.

The assault rifle's only real issue is that the sound is much faster than the actual firerate, which is "tap-tap-tap" instead of "ratatata" which makes it confusing to time hits on full auto and overall makes it feel super weak

I was trying to figure out why the combat shotgun reload was so unique. But after watching this video it dawned on me that it was the only shotgun in the game that loads multiple shells instead of just one.
Can't believe this games is over 10 years ago even though it was released on PC later, the graphic is still beautiful despite the animation but you know, this is not COD or BF so just remind this games was made in 3rd person. But I hope the animations will be reworked in GTA 6.
It most definitely will. Almost every single game that uses firearms that has come out since mw19 has taken inspiration or straight up stolen animations from that game. They set the bar extremely high for how weapons work in games now.
For their next gta I really hope that they will make an effort on the design of their weapons and will include modern weapons with the equipment that goes with them, gta 5 disappointed me a lot at the time for it's small details, the weapons of gta5 / online always have designs dated from the 1990s/2000s.
All these guns look incredible in 3rd person especially for a game from 2013 this looks super detailed. But in 1st person they look blocky and yucky and the reloads are mediocre. All in all this game had an amazing selection of guns.

Man, GTAV is a great game, but man the guns in this game suck cock through a STRAW. Even for 2013 third person shooter standards the guns in this game feel terrible lmao. Even Saints Row the Third had better feeling guns than this. Granted, GTAV is a much bigger game with a lot of other content to make up for that, including a variety of other things GTAV does better than any Saints Row game, but I still really want to point out how awful the guns are in GTAV because I am REALLY hoping the gunplay in GTA6 is better. The guns in GTAV all have an awkwardly slow rate of fire that usually doesn't even match up with the sounds the gun is making. Like, has anyone else listened to the sounds of the assault rifles and machine guns firing in this game and then looked at the ammo counter going down? Seriously, why the hell do all the guns in this game shoot so slow? The basic Assault Rifle is the worst offender of all. Also, the Heavy Sniper is semi automatic, but when you fire it while scoped in it plays the sound effect for the bolt action racking. No, this was never fixed, yes, it still does this even on PS5. Also, take any fully automatic weapon and hold down the trigger to shoot it, then zoom/ADS while shooting. The gun will stop shooting. For some reason, you can't shoot during that transfer from unzoomed to zoomed or the other way around. It's not a huge problem but it definitely contributes to making the guns feel even more awkward and unwieldy. For a game that overall does a brilliant job of being an immersive experience, the moment you get into the combat and start shooting, that immersion is quickly ruined by gunplay that feels like it was ripped straight out of a game 10 years older than GTAV. Again, I'm not trying to argue that GTAV is a bad game, I'm just criticizing this aspect of the game because I'm really hoping GTA6 won't have these problems.
I wish every design in games didn't have to be some knockoff of the real thing these days. Most people think of the vehicles in GTA but the weapons suffer from it too.
