i will admit, i was a little sad that the closet unhauls were coming to an end, but hearing the downsides made me realize how ultimately, its end is needed. i subscribed before the closet unhauls were introduced and i was so intrigued when the first one was uploaded because it was a type of booktube video that was just so creative! but it seems you have a lot in store for 2018, which has me even more excited! i subscribed for your enjoyable content and trusty books recommendations, and i'll be here to stay 😊

Its funny because I'm one of the people who found you through the closet unhaul but I subscribed because of how unique and original your other videos are. Most booktubers are doing the same exact thing as each other and normally that'd be fine, but the problem is: they're also reading the same exact books as eachother, so after a while there's only so much booktube you can watch without getting bored and annoyed. So coming across your channel, it was refreshing to see new bookish content in terms of video ideas. We don't even have the same taste in books but your videos are so much fun and you are such a lovely person that i just HAD to subscribe! So while I'll really miss this amazing series, I can't wait for whatever new, fun content you've got in store for us! I'm really excited! ♡

Watching this series 5 years later, it really was a lot of fun. I love the idea of year long challenges and part of that excitement is that there's an equally fun challenge to look forward to in the next year. It's always interesting to look back on the books we were buying xxx years ago and how reading tastes change, discovering what kinds of stories resonate and finding those 5 star gems that we love.
I love the closet unhaul and am sad it’s over, but excited to see what the next years bring! If you ever decide to do it again, like several years down the road, I’d be curious to see how the stats compare to this round since you’ve become more selective in knowing the types of books you want to read as you buy. And I’d imagine that would be even more as years go by.

I just binged the whole 2017 unhaul series, loved watching it! It's so relatable, as I've gotten back into reading over the past few years, I bought ALL the books, just if I'd heard of them before... Even if I didn't have a particular interest. This is a great idea.
Nobody should try to make Lala feel guilty about stopping this series. It clearly wasn't making her happy, so why should she have to continue? She said no and that's that. There are a few other booktubers I have seen adopt this video style into their own content. I love Lala's content, and I will continue to support it in the future.

I think it was just so fun to watch because we all have books we've bought or been given and that have sat so long on out shelves that we've forgotten about them entirely, or neglected them in favour of newer, more exciting releases. It was super satisfying to watch them being unearthed and read, and it made me realise how many of my own books are sitting neglected. It has inspired me to stop buying so many new books until I've read more of the ones I already own. :D
to me, the most important thing is that you feel good about your videos and that you have fun doing them. You are a creative person so I am sure that your ideas for next year will be as interesting and fun to watch as you closet unhauls and honestly, people should stop giving you ideas on how to change it because to me it's only another form of pressuring you into keeping the closet unhauls. Guys accept no for an answer, no is no so stop giving her all these ideas. IF she really wanted to keep it, she would have found some ideas of preserving the closet unhaul herself.

I think you did a great job explaining the purpose of the closet unhaul for you and why doing a similar but different type of haul review wasn’t something you were interested in. This was good closure! I am glad that you started this genre of video, and glad to see others taking it on now. What I enjoy most is not the “forced” monthly reading, but rather the rediscovering of books that may have been forgotten and the renewed enthusiasm to read them (even if they’re not read right away). I was here before your unhauls, and I’ll still be here after!
Something that you may not have mentioned or if you did I didn’t remember, but there is something deeply satisfying that your closet unhaul accomplished and that was getting rid of books that you hadn’t read but that you had owned the longest. I find I have some guilt if I purchase a book, then don’t read it immediately and pick up a bunch of other books instead. So even though you have the same amount of books you got rid of the ones that were in there the longest and hadn’t been picked up! Will miss watching these but we totally understand you not wanting to continue. Lol

It inspired me to get rid of many of my unread books and starting in January I am doing something similar to get to the books I wouldn’t read otherwise. A closet unhaul/try a chapter hybrid if you will. lol. So thank you so much for inspiring me to cut down my TBR and get to books I really want to read.

I have been watching your channel and deliberately avoiding the "unhauls" because I was under the mistaken impression they were you getting rid of books. I don't want to chance someone telling me they hate a book I own that I still haven't read so I avoid them. Watching this video has clarified it for me and now I will go back and watch them! I then started watching your videos of all types more regularly and now I look forward to all of your other videos! I was so excited about the bullet journal video, just to name one! I love your creativity and the organised, structured way that you present your videos (the themes and stats are two of my favourite aspects). I loves the closet unhauls, but I've been a fan since before you started them so I'm sticking around. The unhauls were enjoyable to watch, but it was easy to tell at times you weren't enjoying it as much. I love seeing how excited you get over little things with your channel. Like, I'm excited about your bullet journal and all the pens you bought and showed in one of your last videos. I'm interested to see what you do with that. i subscribed before the closet unhauls and they were a really great concept and i enjoyed them but to be honest i could see when you started not to enjoy making them as much. and personally i like content that the creator really enjoyed making. i'm glad you're doing what's best for you and are going to focus on content you want to create. and i'll watch whatever you come out with because i like you as a person which is why i subscribed in the first place! 💖

I am completely behind not doing them next year because you seemed to stop enjoying it pretty early on. However, it is a clever idea and if you ever entertain the idea of doing it again you should do it in 2019/20 and just do it for one month every 3 months. BUT, if you're not doing it for the same reasons than there's no point. Great video! ❤

I doubt that no longer doing the closet unhaul will make you forget about the books in the closet! I then started watching your videos of all types more regularly and now I look forward to all of your other videos! I was so excited about the bullet journal video, just to name one! You keep making amazing videos and I can't wait to see your other ideas come to fruition! I love your creativity and the organised, structured way that you present your videos (the themes and stats are two of my favourite aspects). The closet unhaul was an entertaining and very well thought-out series, and I am so glad it was incredibly successful for you, but I'm glad that you have made the choice to end it now, not only for your sanity but also to give you more time for other books and projects! ^_^
Not gonna lie, I'm sad the series is over. And anyone who is only here for the closet unhauls is crazy! I love all your content! :) I loved this series so much I wish I had a huge TBR pile or did book hauls just so I could do my own version! LOL.
I loves the closet unhauls, but I've been a fan since before you started them so I'm sticking around. The unhauls were enjoyable to watch, but it was easy to tell at times you weren't enjoying it as much. I love seeing how excited you get over little things with your channel. Like, I'm excited about your bullet journal and all the pens you bought and showed in one of your last videos. I'm interested to see what you do with that. You make me want to be better at being organized.

The closet unhauls are extremely entertaining to watch, it was very cathartic for all of us book readers because we’re always stressed by the amount of books on our shelves that we have yet to read so we kind of lived it through you 😂💕

It's a good thing if people love your content. While I love all of your content, it was my favorite thing. I got very excited when a month was ending and a new one was beginning because I got to see the monthly video but I'll be here no matter what watching all of your content. i subscribed before the closet unhauls and they were a really great concept and i enjoyed them but to be honest i could see when you started not to enjoy making them as much. and personally i like content that the creator really enjoyed making. i'm glad you're doing what's best for you and are going to focus on content you want to create. and i'll watch whatever you come out with because i like you as a person which is why i subscribed in the first place! 💖

I am completely behind not doing them next year because you seemed to stop enjoying it pretty early on. However, it is a clever idea and if you ever entertain the idea of doing it again you should do it in 2019/20 and just do it for one month every 3 months. BUT, if you're not doing it for the same reasons than there's no point.

I'm doing my own closet uhaul in 2018 inspired by these videos. I gave around 30 books I'm hoping to read or uhaul and I'm super excited about it . So thank you for this awesome series!

I didn't discover you because of the closet unhauls, but when I found your channel this summer it definitely became one of my favourite videos. That said, I would have no desire to do it myself...for a reason. I will certainly continue to watch all your videos in 2018, and I look forward to any new series you create in its place.

I really enjoyed watching your closet unhauls and it was such a great idea! I will miss them but I haven't been watching just for those videos and makes perfect sense to not continue something that is stressful or getting in the way of other things you'd like to plan. I watched this all the way to the end. I want to start off my saying that I found your channel because of the closet unhauls. I loved them! I thought they were great! So I subscribed to you. That being said, since subscribing, I have watched most of the videos that you put out. I really enjoy all of them, and just like most people here, I am sad to see the closet unhaul end, but it's your channel and you should do what makes you happy! I plan on sticking around and I am sure many other s will as well. Heck, I just watched over an hour of your most recent first 3 weeks of December vlog and loved it too! :)
