  • Lyrics:
Too blind to know your best.
Hurrying through the forks without regrets.
Different now, every step feels like a mile.
All the lights seem to flash and pass you by.
    So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
Don't know which way to turn.
    Every trifle becoming big concerns.
All this time you were chasing dreams,
without knowing what you wanted them to mean.
    So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
    So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
Who cares in a hundred years from now.
All the small steps, all your shitty clouds.
Who cares in a hundred years from now.
    Who'll remember all the players.
    Who'll remember all the clowns.
    So how's it gonna be.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
So what does this really mean.
When it all comes down you're cycling trivialities.
    Cycling trivialities.
    Cycling trivialities

A funny story on how I found Jose Gonzalez: In highschool (2009) I made up an alias one day to mess with one of my teachers who we all knew was a massive stoner and had a terrible memory. So I used get two work sheets, write my name on one and then Jose Gonzalez on the other one and turn them both in. In the grade book I wrote his name down and would always check him as being present in class when the teacher was out. One day I was absent and the teacher was handing papers back and couldn't find Jose Gonzalez or me, and the kid who sat next to me gave away my ruse. The next day I walk into class and the teacher greets me as Jose Gonzalez. He got a good kick out of it and said that he knew the name was associated with a musician he enjoyed, so I looked up Jose Gonzalez later after school and was quite pleased with my choice of alias.

At one point many years ago I was laying in a hospital bed in the ICU facing multiple surgeries which hopefully might save my life...from Severe Pancreatitis via alcoholism. There I lay in not great condition, but sober...combative and blaring music from the hospital TV in my room (I had access to the wifi). I played a lot of great music. As one does in such a condition...not knowing if you'll be around tomorrow. This song in particular meant more to me than anything else...it brought me peace (mentally). I've lived in my head my whole life and it was nice to hear my inner monologue out loud. Here I am recovered and healthy years later and still so very thankful for this song and quite frankly everything. Much love to everyone, and if anyone is having a hard time out there... just know that life always finds a way of surprising you.

This is what the lyrics mean to me.
Inside you have dreams, and even if you don't know what they mean, they end with you being happy. If you let it, the same things will cause stress in your life, over and over; almost like they're following you. It's your choice to let these things bother you; in pursuit of your dreams. If it's to push you, then that's your rational. What if you reach your dreams and it still remains? When it all comes to an end and it's still the same? What I'm saying is, how do you wanna be? The end result of any dream is happiness. You can choose to be happy; now and forever. It can be an infinite loop of happiness, or an ever chasing dream. Let's be happy. Now, and always, or cycling trivialities.

    • @StallionFernando
      @StallionFernando 4 роки тому +3

I find nothing happy about the song lol, "cycling trivivalities" basically means the little problems we keep encountering day by day and how people let themselves be dragged down, people who don't have a purpose or meaning will never overcome and eventually be erased and forgotten, but yeah the silver lining would be to break out of that cycle, and find a purpose.

Mind splits from inner self and realized the beauty of life, thoughts then flow away like "shity clouds"...a "hundred years from now" you understand you've been a passenger the whole time...cycling trivialities. :-) music flows... Voice stops....the rhythm carries you away.

      How to breathe:
      1. Plan a route around the world
      2. Research the best bike for the trip (Tour, MBT, Road, etc.)
      3. Build your bike part by part so you know what to do when something inevitably breaks
      4. Tell your family you love them, and that you're never actually completely gone
      5. Fly to the start of your route
      6. Ride, and breathe

This song always reminds me of that "Life is Strange" scene where she is riding the bus. I know it's "Crosses' that is being played in the scene, but this song also has this melancholic vibe to it. Somehow after listening you feel kind of wholesome, yet still a little bit sad. It can have an effect like the catharsis in the greek theatre had.

This song was well before its time. More people need to heed the words and take a moment to contemplate. Everything comes in cycles and hopefully enough people catch that and keep this vibe going!!!!
