I don't know if José added this little detail on purpose, but at 3:40 when he is repeating 'cycling trivialities', he does so every two bars, and there's 7 beats rest in between. It kind of feels like a week cycling over and over, mundane, trivial, repetitive, but always bookended by the realisation that it is so - that we need to change and correct how we are living. And yet the next week plays out always the same as the last.
Gave me chills to read that. Good insight
Also when he repeats the riff for the last 2 minutes, and closes the "cycle" with just the high notes, and ends peacefully.. just like life (for most people at least)

All of those things in our lives we see as important, our dreams and ambitions, beauty, humor, self-growth, comes down to cycles of water, carbon, nitrogen, sulfur, and phosphorous. And then González just keeps playing through the guitar loop over and over and you sit there, stunned._

Don't torture yourself trying to fit yourself through a hole that you don't fit through. It's okay - you don't have to do it if you don't want to. I know lots of people who have turned unconventional paths into fulfilling lifestyles. Some of them even own their own houses and haven't even hit 40. Don't let anybody hold you back because their own dreams were shattered. Life isn't always what you expect it to be, but it's a beautiful thing.

This song reminds me of the life you should and want to live. Don’t settle for the way society has programmed us to live. Don’t be prideful of your achievements, don’t judge a book by its cover, live life to its fullest and be happy. There’s too much shit going on in the world to always be wrapped up in especially when it comes to politics. Slightly depressing but can be looked at with inspiration as well.

Yup. That's what I was just doing. Thinking to myself "what the fu k, I just got outta work and wanted to put on some relaxing music" Here I am getting all introspective thinking about the beauty of the world.

This Stuff always reminds me to stay humble. Working in a fast paced career orientated office environment is like pure poison to the mind. This music helps taking a step back at the end of the day and focus on family instead of work. Sometimes it is really hard to not focus on things as acquiring a fancy car because your neighbour has one or comparing your success in Office to the success of your co-worker but josè helps me to understand that it is all "cycling through trivialites" and while collegues get divorced or need treatment over burn out or depression I can focus on the important things in life. At least what truly is important to me. Thanks a lot of that Jose !!!

When I was younger I always wanted to own a Mercedes Benz or Audi, but as I've gotten older I've realised I wouldn't be any more happier with owning one. Once you buy something you like or wanted, the "buzz" feeling eventually fades away.

But no! "You're cycling trivialities" is much more poignant and brilliant. It makes YOU the one wasting your life away concerning yourself with inconsequential shit; it doesn't put the blame on the nature of life itself.

What I want it to all mean, is a world and existence that values all lives' existence. Where we listen to our hearts and that flows through our actions and purchasing power. This song is so beautiful, the feeling is indescribable. But I feel like in my lows it helps me to feel hopeful again, even when I wish I didn't. It speaks to me on an emotional level so deep, I feel like it fills me up, seeps into all the cracks and into my soul. I can feel my heart soften and open again.

The lyrics are always describing my life at its totality and the music makes me trip in a way I never felt before. You know Jose, I believe you should just make your own website, and sell your own MP3/AIFF/MP$/M4v digital downloads, with no need for an agent no manager no middlemen like i sell my ebooks on my websites. You would then not have to sit waiting for them to give you your share after they take most of it. You have enough followers to not need any agents and keep 100% of net sales. That's how i tick, and that's how i sell my content. And you are 100 times more famous. So I do not see why you cannot do that, except for binding contracts preventing you.
