This is my favorite movie for the last two years I have watched it over and over. It has helped me to see as I have raised my family, given up my dreams, the God sees me. He sees the beauty of sacrifice. Love is sacrifice. And it’s worth it. Don’t buy the b.s. that culture tells you. Self fulfillment leaves you empty.

This movie is a perfect representation of an introvert's life. Always wanting to break free, but paralyzed by our daydreams. We spend our life in constant daydreams, never really having the courage to break out of that internal monologue and live our lives.
Also, that quote by Sean Penn about staying in a moment and not letting photographs ruin the moment is exactly how I feel whenever I experience those moments. You just wanna stay in it and bask in it, soak it all in and not ruin it by wasting time pulling out the camera and stopping for a pose. You save it in your mind, and there, whether it degrades through time and old age, you'll cherish it. Whether it's crystal clear or foggy from poor remembrance - you'll always cherish the feeling of those memories, no matter how poor they become.

That's not being introverted that's being socially awkward and anxious. I'm introverted in the sense that crowds drain my energy and new activites tire me out. That doesn't stop me engaging in social settings and exploring new things. Stop making excuses and hiding behind the cover of being an introvert. Deal with your social anxiety and quit whining

2024. To all of you dreamers out there. To see the world you don't need those big life decisions, like quit your job and travel the world. Im an introvert person with big dreams. I have always knew that i would travel the world, how? I had no idea... I just knew and believe it. At 30 years old l finally got the money to enter in a plane for the first time. Im 43 now, a normal job, an incredible husband and daughter, and on my way to 50 countries. Keep your life simple and put your backpack and go on an adventure. By the way, incredible movie and soundtrack. This is how I feel when I am traveling... Freedom and just enjoy the moment. Forget your photos to Instagram. Greetings from Portugal ❤

Dear Clara, you don't have to travel to experience life. It is right outside your front door.
At 15 years old I discovered S.C.U.B.A. diving because my high school district offered a program called ROP (regional occupation program) that taught a class in scuba, giving out a "Sportsman rating" and I jumped on it. We received training needed to be a lifeguard and we were one class away from either being a swimming instructor or a commercial diver. I did work one summer as a lifeguard and hated it, but the cash was good. I almost had to drop out because you have to be 16 to get your certificate from Naui and Padi but told the instructor I would be 16 just 2 weeks before the class ended. I have all those Jacqu Cousteau specials to thank for that because as of last year I have 5 minutes shy of 817 hours under water, most of it just off the beautiful California cost. You have not been whale watching until you are 70 feet down and a school of Greys eyeball you from 10 feet away as the pod swims around you. I eventually took 1 semester of Oceanography and 1 of marine biology when I was in college all because I wanted to know more about the world I was playing in.
Then about 36 years ago I got to spend 12 years as part of an all-volunteer search and rescue team based in Southern California. I got to learn how to repel (, even though I am afraid of heights LOL), took desert and winter survival training, learned how to extract someone from a collapsed building and do over the side rescues from cliffs or tall buildings (called a 'pick off' at that time), learned how to build an ice shelter like an Eskimo would, got my EMT rating for that and actually trained MD's and RN on mass casualty triage at fort Roberts in California. I also got certified by the US forest service to work at wildfires. Most local fire departments do NOT have that training. I have worked 2 fires because of this training. Talk about a scene out of Daunte's Inferno, wild. The team's biggest response was during the Northridge earthquake of 1994 and that lasted for 2 weeks. I am NOT bragging about doing this, just showing that if you lift your head up and look around the world can be a crazy beautiful place.
I have done lots of other cool and adventurous things all around California but am still looking forward to getting to repel out of a helicopter.
I still go diving to this day but not nearly as much as I would love to. My favorite see creature is the Seahorse. You can find them just hanging out around the jetties here in CA.
      John

    Travelling is awesome.
But the most important lesson here is to be honest with yourself. Do not fall into the trap of society saying you are wonderful as you are and you fit into a certain category. You're not and you don't.
You are not obliged to be the person you were 5 minutes ago. You can redefine yourself and go after what it is you truly want, but it takes commitment and decisive action. Failure is as much a part of life as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, you have to put your ego aside and learn from these mistakes. Make yourself a better person by DOING things. Don't worry, nothing bad can happen to you. Just imagine everything will be all right and the worst thing that can happen is that people laugh at you, reject you or perhaps even insult you. But none of that matters.
You are a good person and you are worth love, happiness, fulfillment, excitement, adventure, ...
You have to be able to go after and take what it is you truly want in life, on this planet where life is fleeting and uncertain. Don't do it for other people but do it for yourselves.

No matter what story you are using to define yourself right now, YOU did not write it, it's a false version of you, a product of all of the programming we are infused with from birth via parents, tell-lie-vision, school, pop culture and religion. The real you is inside, waiting for you to shut off the tv and notice there's an entire universe of possibility at your very fingertips....that's when the real fun begins.......

Watching this movie made me change the way I look at life. I stopped focusing so much on routine and pinching pennies to enjoy things I was "afraid" of trying. Instead of sitting inside all the time, I picked up snowboarding, went to music festivals, traveled a lot more, and wasn't afraid to do something I hadn't done before. This movie had a great impact on myself when I was going through a rough patch in my life.

Upon receiving Sean’s message (you’re sitting on it) (i said to look inside) and it was in the form of a wallet - the most common items in life. It’s not until you realized the truth. We had been searching for it all along, but like Walter, we dismissed it. It was only when Sean suggested “stay in it” that we understood he had it all along. He had already achieved his goals without realizing it; he had everything he needed within himself. He just had to look inward.
The wallet was just a way of showing the things we have been seeking is already here. We just like Walter need to know where to look. That was what i took away when his mum return his tossed away wallet

In 2020 I had lost a lot, from friends to family, and essentially had to build myself mentally and physically back up.
For two years I worked on building myself back up; making mistakes left and right, but always learning from my mistakes and embracing change.
Back in March I had applied for an internship, I started thinking that I wasn’t qualified for the internship. I had applied to over 60 internships and either got denied or ghosted, but when I opened up the application portal for this internship I started getting major imposter syndrome. I turned on this song and when I heard the part “do whatever just to stay alive” I said screw it and applied.
After two years of hard work, here I am now with a NASA internship, as happy as i could be, but humbled with the fact that I won my fight.
When in doubt just remember, do whatever just to stay alive.

I'm not going to give some story about how I am an introvert and all that, but this movie is one of the few which have stayed in my mind since I saw it the first time. The secret life of walter mitty 2 should be the first thing that Ben Stiller should think of in 2024!!
Do it Ben , for gods sake 😀
It is an evergreen masterpiece, background score, photography etc everything is so soothing in this film

Not sure why I never saw this movie, I love his acting. Will be streaming for it tnite. A wonderful guy sent me this song today to cheer me up & it REALLY BRIGHTENED MY DAY!!!! I'll be 72 next month & have so many regrets from not NOT LIVING, or doing things, I should have done MUCH SOONER. Now I fight to keep going & Dr's don't care or have any empathy bcuz I guess they think my life is over, but it's far from over. I will publish my children's books & more, I will create a song I wrote & I will finish quilts I designed (not all but a few) & hopefully write (or at least dictate) the instructions for them to be written when I'm gone. God bless everyone & NEVER STOP LEARNING OR DOING WHAT U LOVE. Make each sunrise matter. 🌅 Be THANKFUL U WOKE to see it! Cherish each moment w/family & friends. U can't imagine what it's like to know time may run out at any moment. Things are just 'things', but loving people, being kind, helpful, appreciating those endearing friendships, creating smiles, laughter & love are what's important❣️ Thank u for sharing this video. ❤

The most underrated and underappreciated movie ever made....
I only want to say it is the loss of those who don't understand this movie🙏🙏

What a beautiful song. In whatever context it’s was meant, I find it relatable in so many ways. Broken-hearted and spiraling out of control. Met another girl broken hearted and in the same free fall. Our few months were healing from our past relationships...companionship with our vices and love of music being the bridge. We healed each other amidst dramas from our partying social lives...there were many. Yet, I can’t thank her enough for taking me away from a dark moment that I couldn’t shake before her impact. Although giving me another slew
of problems to reflect on; Weird. Right? she was what I needed at that time. I think she was what I needed as well. She’s happily married now and not the same type of girl she tried to portray herself to be while we were “dating”. She’s the exact opposite. Had I know she’d be that way, we’d probably be together. But I think she’s with a better man for her than me. Hopeless romantic is still in me.

Some of the most beautiful cinematography ever captured. A great depiction of the hero's journey without cheap gimmicks.

This was a genuine masterpiece of a film! Wonderful story, cinematography, casting, editing, music, amazing global locations, and especially the incredible direction from Stiller. And one of my all-time favorite endings. Brilliant film!

I've always loved this so much. It's a perfect example of what movies and music can make you feel. This is a beautiful combination of both and I can't stop replaying it
