Just bought a 2010 SLK55 M113 with the 7speed transmission for my Chrysler Crossfire engine swap. The Crossfire is basically an SLK/CLK chassis with a Karmann body. From the firewall back its SLK and from the firewall forward its CLK. Wonderful cool car. Now with the SLK 55 powerplant its going to be legendary. 😎 The engine only has 40k miles!
Don’t know where to start man lol , any tips? Also how do you get it to back fire like that🔥 its so cool did you do that by tuning it or was it the straight pipe ?
Thats a very great question! Maybe the time might come to where I might convert it to a Manuel. But depends were I'm with the build and other build that I might be working on
@@HeyboysGarage i had it inspected by a mechanic and was told it was in very good condition. But since buying it I've had to replace the radiator fan the engine mounts the radio the passenger seat both lower rear control arms the alternator the battery and the hydraulic pump for the convertible hood gave out.
That’s half the fun of owning one of these older Mercs. I have owned a W211 E55 for 2 years and it has taken me that long to fix everything a 100k mile car needs and I do all my own work or I would not be able to afford these cars. I just bought a family owned, dealer serviced W210 E430 in excellent condition to use as a ‘beater’ that turned out to be in better condition than my AMG was when I got it but I’m still finding little stuff to replace the more I drive it. Just replaced front discs and pads and did a window regulator last week and replacing a broken window switch bezel and a lock actuator as soon as the parts come in. Cosmetically, there is ALWAYS something that needs attention on these cars but mechanically, I would not hesitate to jump in either one of them and drive to California.

Yes its going to be a monster, The weigh ration to the power the engine has will be crazy. When are you planning on getting it done?

Sick man! I'm planning to buy one of those! What did you delete to get the pops? All cats?
For the pops I got a ECU tune from RaceIQ Performance. I highly recommend them if you want to see really good power gains as well
As always great video brotha. Nice ride aswell.
Thanks again!
Sounds so good. Did you delete first cat?
Thanks! Yeah long-tubes headers
Are you planning to go stage 2? Love the car and content keep posting brother!
Yes I am!!
Bro you tuned and does it crackle after straight pipe
Its the pop & bang tune that gives it that
@@HeyboysGaragewhere did you get the tune for it? Those pops sound🤤
@@DonOfValor RaceIQ performance!
Do you have Catalytic converters on with this tune?
I just have the primary cats, everything else has been deleted
Why oh why did mercedes insist on automatic transmissions for these cars...

Are you not satisfyed with the auto? What does the gearbox remap makes?
Hey man can I get the stage 1 tune for my 03 clk500
You can from RaceIQ Performance!
I just bought one a few months ago and everything in it is breaking
What all are you having problems with? Was it a good purchase in terms of history of the car and condition? These could be factors to problems

@@ryanrobbins2363 that’s a lot of maintenance items that needed to be done before the seller sold it to you.
