Just redline it. Got open headers on mine, that sucker rips. Probably gonna do this but with dual cutouts and dual pipe on either side to some dumps behind the rear tire. I build sound systems and understand the concepts of resonant and tuning frequency. You could ditch the 2.25” pipe for 2.5” for a slightly deeper tone. Alternatively you could do 3” pipe to the X pipe, going to 2.5” out the back. This will alter the way the exhaust flows by speeding up the scavenging effect, give it a super deep tone, and a hell of a lot of growl, pop, and crackle.
It for sure rips with open headers! That setup will be sick dual exhaust! Thats the nice thing about the 3' piping but the downside is, it thats going to reduce power and torque with this engine. Its not a big enough engine/ not enough power to benefit for a 3" pipe. But if you are going for sound that would be perfect.
Can confirm, all 16 studs and bolts on my headers needed to be replaced when i installed my headers on my E55. Car sounds insane now! Will be interesting to see perfomance difference on the NA M113 with headers. On my supercharged M113 engine my 100-200 kph times went from 9,3s to 8,4s just by changing headers and pre cats , while being on stock software.
Okay i had my ecu repaired, got it home and plugged it up it was kinda funky at first couple cranks but then it cranked up and ran and idled smooth. I turned it off and now it wont crank anymore the engine fan comes on at high speed the dashboard lights works but still no crank no start. Any suggestions ?
Hey if U got these Headers from Moscow Supercharge Europe then this is my Dad if got more stuff from my dad and put them on ur amazing CLK and show them will be amazing and also my dad owns a Mercedes E55 AMG w211 and he just tunned it making it over 500hp
Little heads up here, your exhaust hangar at the transmission oil pan is missing. That's how I got my CLK, the previous owner had some new cats installed and the shop "lost" the exhaust hanger, ended up cracking the exhaust manifold, since there is nothing holding up the exhaust between the header studs and exhaust tip, due to vibration. It's about $35 for that hardware from Mercedes Parts Department
I know the shop used stock Mercedes gaskets from were the engine and headers bolt on. The headers are welded to the reset of the exhaust. I hope that answers your question?
@@HeyboysGarage I have got MKB made ones from Germany. Almost the same style as Kleeman, but more heavy duty. Am going to install them on Thursday on my M113.
Keep in mind the headers would have to be made, they aren't just a stock production. So if you really want LTH its worth the wait because you wont find them any where else
My bro.. These guys are selling you snake oil. You do not need colder plugs on n/a engine with headers.. LOL Colder plugs are effective for 600HP boosted platforms with high flowing injectors and larger throttle bodies which is why they are advised on modded M113k cars. Do the valve covers yourself. 2 hour job if you take your time and clean out the gasket channels on the main covers and breather covers with sandpaper and isopropyl.
My tuner told me the exact same thing you just said! Word for word! I’m glad you also pointed it out! I do not need them on n/a engine with headers! 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Absolutely dope as hell, finally a CLK V8 with true straight piped exhaust from front to back
I know right!! I don't know off anyone on youtube that have put longtube headers on the CLK500

Sounds mean, the dudes and shop doing the install seem super chill as well, always good to find!
Couldn't agree more! I'm glad I was able to get this install done with them
Sounds like a true foreign race car 💪💪💪. Good choice
Thanks! Its a monster

Yeah the supercharger will make more power with simple bolt on’s vs the naturally aspirated m113. But the m113 is no match to the m113k
The car sounds great. Found this video by looking at headers for my SL55 at Moscow Supercharged
Thank you! Yes Moscow Supercharged make really good sounding headers
Cant wait to see the final result after the tune 🤘🤘
Soon! Basically unlocking the full power of the m113
Those m112s and 113s love to leak out the rear mains.
Yea they do, I wouldn’t worry too much about it unless it’s leaking real bad. It’s a big job to get it seal back up again
CLK Gang 👌

If you guys know any solutions to this problem, comment and help our fellow CLK owner
Check for codes, Thiss was 2 years ago but maybe a sensor like crank or camshaft position sensor went out as well, perhaps entirely on its own
@@datguyuknow2101 thanks, wow 2 years ago. I remember making this comment too
EcE makes great polyurethane mounts never gotta replace again

Good catch! I'm going to look into that and see whats up.
I'm thinking it wasn't the shop.. thats probably how I got the car...
I'm doublw checking right now, but I see what you mean, once I get confirmation I will let you know.
I check same day, forgot to reply but everything was connected. During filming they hadn’t connected it yet
bro your car sounds insane! keep up the videos
Thanks bro 🙏🏾
=====LOVE THE CAR,I HAVE 2003 CLK 500 AND AM DEBATING STRAIGHT PIPING ANY DOWN SIDE AND HOW OVERALL IS THE CAR AFTER THE UPGRADE,THANKS DUDE
There are no downsides. It’s a rocket for the 5.0 m113 on a stage 2
Insane Sound Bro 💪
Thanks 🔥
Nice what rims do you have on and size ? Where you get your grill?
Aodhan wheels. 18x8.5. Grill I got from eBay from 55tech
Nice clk man my dream car
Thank you, the 500’s are very fun
I have e550 2008 where can i get hearders
Check with VRP, Moscowsupercharge, USA mbheaders -and Google should tell you a few also
You don’t need step colder plugs cuz you don’t have forced induction.
Yeah nahhh, I didn’t get them
Hi, can you say which headers you used? Any cat were left?
It’s in the title of video, and no cats!
Hello. Have you used any type of Gasket where the Headers meet the downpipes?
I know the shop used stock Mercedes gaskets from were the engine and headers bolt on. The headers are welded to the reset of the exhaust. I hope that answers your question?

Yep, that is original gasket from mid years CLK430. Kleemann USA Confirmed.

From the headers connecting to the exhaust??
I must do this😢
You should!
no caap
You went back to a Y pipe?
It’s always been a Y pipe, I actually didn’t end up doing the Xpipe
how long did you wait for headers to arrive from russia ??
About 3 and a half months
I've been wanting to order from moscow but waiting 4-6 months sounds like a pain
