I think it also speaks to how the dark side is very inviting and alluring at the surface level, while the way of the Jedi comes off as very rigid and restrictive. I also think it speaks of the failings of the Jedi Order that in part contributed to the fall of the Republic, which didn’t happen overnight. In this last episode we see an early example of how the Order is being influenced by the Senate and by public opinion rather than following the Jedi code and maintaining balance and whatnot.

This is actually why I take Vernestra Rwoh at face value when she talks about political enemies and fears for the Jedi. And we as the audience know that it leads to the Jedi of the prequels who begin to lose faith in the order like Dooku.

@@siovgaming2674 And it's not very long before the prequels. One hundred years in Star Wars time isn't very long, when the history of the Jedi is thousands of years and there are Jedi who live much longer than a century. Dooku will appear in 50 years or so. So, this is easily within the period of decline.

Qimir is giving her the illusion of choice. Just like when he presents himself completely defenseless in literally the most vulnerable position a human can be, and gives her the opportunity to kill him, he knows that the Jedi teachings she has forbid her from doing that. He gives her the illusion of being able to leave but knows she won’t, at first because she wants to bring him to justice but later because she is intrigued by what he’s saying and knows Sol lied to her. In reality, she is just as trapped as Mae. But the prison she’s in is one of doubt in her Jedi teachings and in her father figure who she knows is keeping secrets about the incredibly traumatic events of her childhood, something that Qimir is using to his advantage.
When you look at it, Qimir and Palpatine actually both use very similar tactics to coerce their padawans in Anakin and Osha. Makes me wonder if Qimir had this done to him in the past as well.

      You mean Palpatine not Plagueis

Yeah, and she doesn’t know anything about the planet they are or where or if she’ll need a code just to get inside the ship or is rigged to blow at some point.

@@eds1942and even if she can leave with the ship, that would leave Qimir to escape. At first she feels the duty to watch over him with the belief Sol will come to save her but as things go on he begins to feed her insecurities about leaving the Jedi and giving her that life back, as well as stoking her mistrust.

@@siovgaming2674 yeah, I’m a little paranoid. Even if the dude was a saint, I’d mistrust him about taking his ship. I want to see where they are taking this. (Why would they freely give me their keys to quite possibably their only way off that rock? And who put me in my sister’s clothes?)

Qimir is a psychopath. He's as good as any Jedi at mind tricks. Maybe better.

The “freedom” Qimir is giving Osha is an illusion, if she actually went to the ship she’d 100% find it unresponsive…this guy is not about to actually let her leave.

That's not strange. Sol becomes really emotional and taps into dark side, that's what you see. Qimir playing good,so he says to Osha to go,yet he makes her interested in him ,so he knows, she won't leave.

I don't think there is any direction with this. Scenes and reshoots without proper editing can often lead to characters having one direction and then doing something completely different that doesn't mesh with the next two scenes. As a result, characters will be completely contradictory to what they were intended to be.

Qimir needs tobkills off osha and mae, this will make the show so much better.

This show doesn’t know what it wants, each character is like bi polar or written each episode by different people. Worst Disney Star Wars by far 💀
