Horror + Romance: the mix I never imagined I would be into but Immediately fell in love with
Yes! I didn’t think I would love it, but it works so well together!
@@ErinMegan The first thing I thought of was Crimson Peak and Gothic Romances and I knew they would click
Living for the black and pink combo in this video🖤
Ah thank you so much! 🥰🖤
Darcy Coates is one of my absolute favorite authors.
Same! She’s the best!
Yes part 2!! This is so good bc I don't like romance books but for some reason it works for me in horror 🖤
Definitely doing a part 2! Yeah, I think a lot of people feel similarly!!
same!
YES! I’ve been hoping you would do this video soon ❤️
I’m glad everyone is so excited about it! 🥰🖤
Yes! A part two would be awesome.
Definitely working on it! 🥰🖤
Great recommendations! Also your makeup looks fabulous 😀 loving the pink!
Ah thank you so much! 🥰🖤
Thanks so much for including Mina! I love a bit of romance in my horror, so I’d definitely like a second recs video. I really want to read more Darcy so I think I’ll pick these ones up next.
Of course! You know I love Mina so much!
Ahh I just got The Whispering Dead! So excited there’s romance in it! 💖
Oooh I hope you like it 🥹
Ohhhh nice recs! Added some to my tbr. 😍🥰
Thank you for watching! 🥰🖤
Okay this list is exactly what i needed! Immediately read all of the black winter series! ❤
Ah I’m so happy you found this video helpful!! 🖤 The Black Winter Series is soooo good!
Yes please do a part 2
Will definitely be doing another one!
I enjoy romance as well and I agree that The Black Winter series is my favorite 😀
I knew you’d agree! 🥰
Would love to see more vids like this!
Definitely working on a part two!
Love this video a lot 🖤😻
Ah thank you! 🥰
Wilder Girls actually got me back into reading!
Oh wow! It’s a really fun one!
I LOVE the Black Winter series, it’s very near and dear to me. It’s one of only two series that I had to buy every single one as soon as I finished it. Dorran is also just fun to say.
I really like the GraveKeepers series as well, but mostly because my husband bought it without asking me about it, he doesn’t read but he really puts in the effort to look for books that I would like.
Don't be shy drop the name of the other series too
@@samyuktha777 the shadow and bone series, but the six of crows was really what I liked. I have all of them.
Also, the other secret one is between the lunar chronicles and the bartimaeus trilogy that I read as a child and bought all of them again because they're so good.
@@desicatedlimbs thank u so much adding everything to my tbr rn
@@samyuktha777 they're mostly fantasy, which was always good for me, now that horror has boomed finally some others to add is Grady Hendrix novels (unless you like one offs for a fun read I would stay away from horrorstör) Last House on Needless Street was one I read on an online horror book club and it was great, any of the Louisa Morgan novels (about old timey witches, think practical magic) Lockwood and Co (before the series on netflix) was amazing to read, the same author as the Bartimaeus trilogy, im currently reading the Monstrumologist which has 4 books and is about a scientist/ researcher who studies out breaks of cryptozoology in the 1800s.
I RAVE everywhere about the "Dr. Helsing" series because it's so good and all about monsters, the bone witch trilogy is so unique and honestly mesmerizing how it's told, and I happened to pick up the first book of the "merciless" series from target (by Alexis Vega) from target in 2015 and I hear no one talk about it, it's basically mean girls but exorcism and possession and it's trash but so good I bought all four.
@@desicatedlimbs thank u for the suggestions I am most excited to check out the merciless series bc of the way u described it lmao
From where we can order these books can someone pls tell me
Part 2, please!
I’ll definitely be doing one!!
I'm reading the Dowry of Blood at the moment, it's pretty good. do you have any other recommendations of books like that??
Hmm I don’t know if this one is technically similar or not, but Carmilla sounds like it could be! I have it, but haven’t read it yet!
That bright neon pink is fantastic!!
My personal favorite Horror/Thriller work with romance is Hannibal (NBC TV series) lol *me being an annoying fan of the show*
Ah thank you!!! 🥰🖤 I’ve heard great things about Hannibal!
A part 2 please !
Absolutely!!!
Can you do a video about books where the protagonist are psychopath
Hi! Which book would you say had the creepiest story? I love a spine chilling story with some romance. Kinda like violet and tate’s story in the first season of american horror stories
Ooh that’s a hard question, I personally wouldn’t compare any of them to something like Tate and Violet. Everyone has different definitions and feelings about a story being “chilling,” but I guess I would say Mexican Gothic or Voices in the Snow. Again, the romance is wayyyyy different than something like Tate & Violet.
You may like beneath the stairs, by Jennifer Fawcett. It's horror with a dash of romance
I have read that one! Thanks for the suggestion!
Omg I’m obsessed with your makeup !! Im screenshoting for makeup Inso❤️ also what’s in your inner corner I neeeeeeed it!
Ahh thank you!!! I put down the nyx jumbo eye pencil in milk and then put a bright bubble gum pink eye shadow on top to make it really opaque! 🥰🖤
@@ErinMegan awesome thankyou !
Oh wow great list. I just hauled Voices in the Snow and had no idea it was a series lol. I read The Haunting of Ashburn House and wanted to try another since I liked that and just by the title I thought it would be good for this winter. Sounds perfect for me since I'm a huge horror reader and dark romance reader. Cant wait...also love me some zombies so this most likely be perfect for me. Thanks for sharing ~ Tracey
Amazing!! I hope you enjoy it!!
This was a really great idea for a list. I’ve only read The Whispering Dead but I liked that a lot. Really want to read Mina because I keep hearing great things about that.
Ah thank you so much! 🥰🖤 Mina is so fun! I hope you get to check it out!
these books all look amazing! what are the age ratings bc my school is weird and dosnt let us have certain age ratings
Mina and the Undead, My Dearest Darkest, The Year of the Witching, and Wilder Girls are young adult horror and the rest are adult horror!
I don't mind a little romance in my horror, so I'm all for another video. Have you tried any Dark Romance yet?
I have not dabbled in dark romance yet, but I definitely want to try some!
