When I lived in Korea I had members of a local church knock on my door every day for months. The were very aggressive and wouldn’t leave my door right away, I had to argue with them each time for several minutes. I had to report them to law enforcement for this harassment and eventually they came by less often. Didn’t matter to them that I had different religious beliefs. They wouldn’t accept anything less than conversion. Some of those newer groups are pretty scary.

It's pretty easy to deal with such people, I've personally dealt with several cult people, first and foremost you should get to their level, then debate with them logically and prove their arguments are all wrong, arguing with them won't work, they would only argue back with you,
Well, I did argue with one guy who was a Jehovah witness person who believed the whole world was flooded and is against evolution, and then I started explaining how did all the marsupials end up in Australia, each Island completely uninhabited by humans such as the Galapagos, Mauritius have their own unique species of flightless birds, turtles..., how did they get their, I explained the completely logical explanation through evolution and genetical evidence, fossil evidence..., he has no way to counterarguement with me, he left, I never had a Jehovah witnesses ever knocking on my door again. He has to prove the burden of arguments to me, I have no worries, I basically made them question their fundamental believes, guess his leaders were like, never ever knock on that door again or we are loosing members.

I still can't believe how lackluster the security was. It was a small crowd that Abe was addressing. I guess since Japan has never faced real terrorism their internal security is just too weak.

I spent time in Japan. Thier security is not weak however they seldom have these issues so they saw no need for stronger security. They won't make this mistake again.

My theory tells me, They should look into the cult for anything shady, this killing seems like when his voices didn't reach the authority because the cult was backed by so many politicians, its possible he was doing it to gain attention. Few people know the name Unification church but everybody knows reverend Moon. He's a bit of a pop culture icon even in my country Brazil after his church became infamous in the 1980s. But then I moved to Japan in the late 1990s and lo behold they're huge in the country (as a matter of fact a huge gossipy scandal was taking place involving some female celeb member and her chosen husband to be.) Probably their biggest cashcow market in the world. I still don't get how a country so well educated can fall for this scam.
That's the thing, the church is being protected by Liberal Democrat party, no matter how much shady things it got upto. Apparantly, they give political donations to Liberal Democrat party, and most importantly provide them with votes of thier church goers. While church goers gets scammed, lose all thier money, assests, house etc & ruin thier lives. Apprantly, this is why Shinzo Abe became a target. He (& his party) was enabling this racket, for votes.

I call bullshit on the assassin's reason. He targeted Abe specifically but at the same time claim that he has no personal grudge towards him and his political leadership? And since his beef is actually with whatever this Church is, why didn't he "make a show out of it" at one of the Church's events instead - as that was his primary motivation to kill, right? And the fact that the security was conspicuously lax - which goes against international standards of providing security to VIPs (I use this as an umbrella term) - seems to suggest that there are a lot more players involved in this assassination of Shinzo Abe. I find it hard to believe that Japan with an international reputation for safety would have trained their security personnel with such low standards or put a clueless security detail in charge of protecting Mr. Abe on his campaign trial..or.....perhaps...that was the intent by the players who were able to tap into such a resource to kill Abe. You know what they say about the truth lying somewhere in the middle?

FUN FACT: Abe's grandfather was a WW2 war criminal that oversaw "Unit 731", an Imperial Japanese Army covert biological and chemical warfare research and development unit in north-east China that engaged in lethal human experimentation causing 300,000 deaths of men, women, and children (consisting mostly of Chinese, Koreans, and Russians).
