Swipe down on the infotainment screen, you can customise the shortcuts and add lane keeping. Press and hold lanekeeping to goto the exact spot in the menu to turn elk off. 😊

Yep. Here is South Africa we can turn off ELK and Lane assist permanently with the shortcut buttons. Does not reset to on.
Unless you have a HEV then you dont have that option

@@tonesX7170 on the slide down - not many i never use it. To turn of ELK its over 5 presses and swipes.
You HAVE to try the pothole mode. It is a full on electronic diffs lock like the Discovery. It senses slip and immediately sends torque to the wheel with traction. Amazing 4x4
I know but you would think it was labelled Butthole mode since every Aussie reviewer seems to see it, chuckle, then choose some other inappropriate mode, like rock mode when there are no rocks in sight.

That tank is such an amazing car! If you want to put more icons on your main screen than the 3 main ones, just hold tye screen fir about 5 swcinds and you can add different things, remove, etc.
Super annoying that putting the car in 4wd doesnt automatically turn off the lane assist

I have driven over 200,000km in Ford Ranger work trucks loaded to the hills and never had a single issue. They always got me home at the end of the day

Tou can hold down the traction control button to the right of the steering wheel and it goes into a off road traction control.
I haven't tried it i just found it one day when i was mucking around.

I enjoy your content but would be more pleasant with a Sound Editor. The loud music inserts and background don't match the less loud voice. It makes it harder to hear what is being said. Perhaps use a dedicated microphone? Just saying

I thought the music would cut out when he was talking. I had the volume on full, and the music was so loud I could barely understand what he was saying.

Give some lift andcmudcterrain tyres, it wil, beat landcruiser any day. Got one with 15000km, best car and just 50k $. Would have wasted my money on a prado for 90k.

i have generally found especially on sand that higher pressure in the trailer tyres is better than lower pressure,
i have also asked a few people why they deflate trailer tyres, so thanks for the explination
I agree::as they are not driving wheels and won’t dig in keeping the trailer on high pressure means less drag resistance.
GWM, the real test is after 100,000 km. And when something inevitably goes wrong, how long will it take to get parts. It’s great that you have an open mind on these things, but like all reviews on new cars, it’s the reliability that needs to be proved. I’ll be keeping my N70 Hilux for a while yet. 330,000km and counting. That’s a review ☺️. A good video nun the less. Thanks mate.
Don't be triggered but the video below shows 7 warranty GWM TANKS are dominating, your old Hilux is no comparison in the real world, keep your Hilux and let other people enjoy their reasonably priced fully equipped TANKS. They will do over 500000kms already proven many years and rigorously tested in China.

Because of Tank's low price. I can buy a new Tank after its 150000km . and use the new Tank competitive with your 150000km N70. I think this more fair.
I am converted brought mine and loving it great car found Sports steering mode lessens the ELK coming on if you forget to turn off

If you need more low down torque try out the hybrid version. Pretty sure that'll give you all you need.

We have 7 Chinese cars in our company and over 3 years zero issues.
GWM are giving them 7 years unlimited klm warranty, so I suspect they want it to last your 5 years minimal + another 2.
Read what you want into that but they're here to stay.
GWM V200 & V240 utes released in Australia far more than 7 years ago, try 15 plus are still being utilised today and yes in the remotest harshest territory we have, outback Norther Territory.
They just last, against all opinions to the contrary.
Steeds would be well beyond 7 years old and still going, see examples daily still looking clean, tidy, and some cherished polished examples amongst them.

The inconsistent throttle response when accelerating is really frustrating. It feels like nothing happens, nothing happens, and then suddenly it takes off. Sport mode is more consistent with throttle response, but sometimes it revs way too hard. I’ve also had issues with the car not turning off correctly. Even after locking it, the fans keep running for 10 minutes or more. Sometimes, when I get back in, there’s no startup sound or animation, almost like the car never fully shut down and stayed on via the battery. It would be great if they could give us a software update - I feel like so many of these issues could easily be fixed that way.
What brake controller are you running innthe Tank?

But YOU didn't study this car well before offroad, this car is WAY WAY MORE capable, it used to EXTREMELY DIFFICULT offroad conditions and it does them with ease... You need to study the car, thats all, so the fault is on YOU, the TANK300 is WAY WAY WAY more capable!!!
