You'll enjoy it, especially if there are no fires to obscure the views. It really is an easy route. We saw plenty of heavy bikes (KTM 990's, BMW 1200's, etc) and I don't think any of them had serious trouble.
Thank you! Yes, I plan to keep riding like this as long as I'm physically able. So far, so good. I have the next BDR trip in the planning stages: Colorado. I'll do a video of that as well. Both the riding and the video form a fun hobby for me.
I replaced the stock tank with a 3 gallon one and had no troubles at all. The BDR organization maps the routes out such that you should be able to do fine as long as you have around 150 miles on a tank or better.
@@OldTomRidesok..did you have do any suspension work to handle the extra weight? I'm just curious because I'm thinking of setting my wr250r up for that as I live in Bonners ferry idaho
Great job!
Well done video and nice overview of the IDBDR. I think this one on our 2021 ride list.

Man, in spite of the smoke, it was still a great trip. Nice little summary, Tom.
You did it a wr250r? How was it in fuel?
