Thank you! The Perk has many little sweet spots. And the sequencer can really take on a different vibe when using the Divide and Multiply features. I do use the individual sends on each Voice for some delay reverb. I really enjoy a bit of space and stereo on drum hits here and there.
Thank you! I think starting with a single machine like an elektron digitakt would be good. The setup I use allows easy access to the knobs so i enjoy the live tweaking but pricey to start depending on your budget.
@@Noise-Maker Hey man, love your channel, hoping you can answer a question for me. I’m curious, do you multitrack the voices when you record on your perkons? Or do you just record from the main out? I’ve had the Perkons for just about two months now. This week was my first time trying to multitrack. I’m devastated that the bbd is cut out and the FX + levels knobs become inactive. I had found a run around before to still have the bbd available when having pedals connected to each voice- have the output only 3/4 of the way plugged in. But in this scenario, I was feeding the pedals back in to perkons and listening/recording through the master out. I actually emailed Erica Synths and they told me this trick should work when going to the interface, but it’s not working for me. Apparently this trick doesn’t work when i run the outputs to an interface as opposed to sending them back into the perkons. I’m actually really upset about it. It completely changes the work flow that I’ve established and limits creativity. The BBD was a huge part of my fun, but now that’s gone if I want to multitrack so I can mix and have my tracks really bang. This is a bigger deal than losing the level knobs (though that sucks ass too). Huge, huge bummer.
Hi! My workflow is - Kick Drum Out sent to Bitwig. Then all other channels I connect the Sends to my Sound cards inputs and build an FX track for each voice. Each voice will be split from FX Sends to the main outs of the Perkons. I am working on a demo of my workflow in the next week. But this isn’t what you are looking to do. The BBD can box in people like yourself. I don’t use it much as my external FX do so much more for me. I prefer to work this way as I mentioned above and it works great for me. I can sympathize with you. I have been down this road plenty of times with other equipment. Eventually, I just find a way that works and vibe with. I try to let go of those limitations and see if other ways are even better. It could be possible this headache is nudging you to try a different approach before selling it. @@Chucklehead617
@@Noise-Maker thanks for getting back to me again. Never in my wildest dreams would I sell my perkons! Anyway, it’s been a couple weeks now multitracking my “live” jams. Thankfully I have a couple different delays that I can use on a couple voices at a time- and now that I’m used to not having the BBD, i rarely even think about it. The level knobs on the other hand, those are still sorely missed. It feels like Erica synths really dropped the ball with that one. It stinks not being able to parameter lock levels with various steps when multitracking. In some cases I use the cutoff as a work around, which does wield interesting results, but it’s just not the same. Oh well, it is what it is! I’ll definitely be looking forward to seeing a video on your workflow. You rock with some gear that I dream of, specifically the PERfourMer and the oxi one. Have you been sequencing the perkons with the oxi since the most recent firmare update???
@@Chucklehead617 Thanks for the comment. I haven't used the OXI one to sequence the Perkons yet. So far one of the joys of the Perkons is the sequencer. Its limitations let me lay stuff down quickly or think through the creative puzzle box it presents. Yeah the BBD is cool. When it comes to onboard FX, I would have built it slightly differently. But since bypassing it I never think about it much.
I will try and keep track of my patterns and kits for those that would like to try them out! If I get some time I will see if i can find it and let you know.
Great Jam \m/ I am loving my Perkons, just too easy to use and it can sound so amazingly produced all on its own. REally liking that other synth you are using there, beautiful \m/
Thank you Kris!! Glad you are enjoying your Perkons! So much to explore for just a 4 voice drum box. Vermona is super simple but makes beautiful sounds :)
Is this raw sound from the mixer or is there a digital "live- mastering chain" on the recording device (e.g. PC/Laptop)? Nonetheless beautiful performance. Keep it up!
Hey There, how can I control the four channels independently from the perfourmer? My four channels are always controlled at the same time when i played notes on the oxi one! Can Somebody give me a tip?
Hello, Make sure each voice has its own midi channel set on the Vermona. Then on the oxi you need to ensure each sequencer is also matching the MIDI channel you set on the Vermona. Hope that helps
Did not realise the perk could sound like this. Great x and ÷ work.

Sweet. Love the atmosphere. Chill yet full of energy.
I appreciate that comment!
Wow. This sounds really dope. The Perfourmer is wonderful.
Thank you so much NetraamNav!
Sweet track there mate.
Thank you!!
nice, i also just got the perkons to go withh the perfourmer. this is a great jam !
Congrats! It's a fun combo to work with. So many fun knobs to tweak.
Sounds wonderful, nice one!
Thank you!
seriously lovely sounds in this
Thank you!!
Nice. Been absolutely loving my perkons hd-01 at the moment. It can do very chill down tempo beats.
Glad you enjoy it! It has a surprising range! Are you using the inserts or sends?
@@Noise-Maker occasionally, i need to experiment with that more. sometimes plug the cosmos into voice 1 and 2, great fun!
Yeah...so cool + Perkons = Dope ! Greetings from Thailand....
Thank you for the comment! Glad you liked it! Perkons is a fun one for sure!
Perkons sound amazing here
Thank you!
Nice one Mark 🎉🎉🎉
Thank you!!!
loved that
Thank you!
Beautiful...
Thank you!
Great build up!
I’d love to know how to do this sort of thing but where do you even start !?!? Sounds great

Really beautiful jam here. Love my Perkons, thinking about what I can accompany it with, the Vermona seems like a lovely fit
Thank you! I think the Vermona is a fantastic synth for live use along a Perkons. Really hands on and sounds classic.

Awesome work 👏
Thank you so much for the comment! Was a fun little Jam!
cool jam

Is it possible to asign different midi channels to the different instruments on the Perkons? Say: Kd on ch1, snare on ch2 etc? thnx man! Great sound!
Thank you! I believe this is possible!
Wow! You've got my stupid little earbuds sounding like a subwoofer. Very cool.
Yes!! Happy that translated well :) Thank you for the wonderful comment!
Wow! 👍

Yo! What's the OXI one sequencing? The Perfourmer?
Hi there! OXI is sending notes to the Perfourmer and sending clock start to the Perkons Sequencer.
Cool 👊🏼
