      I did the same thing a year and ahalf ago. I had so many days that I was feeling this exact way. Now a year and ahalf later my curls are so healthy my hair has grown so much. Hang in there you will not regret your big chop. I promise when you see your long healthy curls you will only wish you had done it sooner.

    You should look into Seed Cycling to help with your moon cycle pains. It’s helped me a little bit to balance my hormones. It’s basically for 14 days you eat pumpkin and flax seeds, and the next 14 days you eat sunflower and sesame seeds. Just search the video on here and a doctor 👩🏽‍⚕️ lady will explain it better.
    I just ordered that blow out brush and I also have curly hair. Do you find that it’s healthy for your hair? It won’t cause heat damage right? I would definitely love to see an entire video about it!

      Some people have also said to put any type of oil but mainly coconut oil so your hair kind of retracts the water. Also to re-apply it every once and a while and to rinse your hair in an outdoor shower but still take a regular shower after too. Hope that helps!

    Have you asked your doctor to check for endometriosis? It might be a cause for extreme period pains. Being in excruciating pain every month is not normal and I hope you find a solution soon!

    • @celinehope4257

      Being in pain every month is pretty normal my sister gets bad cramps and pains when she’s on her period every month too

    • @MG-gu7fu
      @MG-gu7fu 3 роки тому +8

      @@celinehope4257 I disagree, being in such pain should never be seen as something normal. She should get it checked out. Women are living with this mindset of "everyone has bad cramps, so when I can't move for 3 days because of my period, I'm just normal" and when there is something wrong, they don't get the help they need. Some women might just be unlucky, but no-one should shrug cramps off

    • @holisticmaya
      @holisticmaya 2 роки тому +1

      @@celinehope4257 I thought it was a normal thing too but look up the book "In the Flo" by Alissa Vitti, she also has an interview on youtube that sums up the book. I now use her app to track my cycle phases and I literally have no pains anymore.

    • @krystalovinlife3305
      @krystalovinlife3305 2 роки тому

      I agree, extreme cramping should not have to be tolerated. In 2007, I went to urgent care for my cramps because I couldn't take it anymore. They did an ultrasound and found a large, non-cancerous fibroid tumor in my uterus. I had to have it surgically removed. Since then, my periods weren't very painful. Then three years ago, they became extremely painful again. They did another ultrasound in December but didn't find anything. They checked for endometriosis and I don't have that, they did hormone testing for PCOS and I don't have that. However, I do have low levels of testosterone. Not sure if that's a contributor to the painful cramps or not. I see a specialist in March to discuss the findings. Hopefully there's some sort of treatment. If there isn't, I may consider getting a partial hysterectomy. I'm in my 40's, hubby and I don't have kids and don't want kids. I just came off Depo and had an IUD inserted in December and that's actually helped. So hopefully I won't be having any type of surgery.

    Hey, there! I just started watching your videos this morning searching for more info on how to better care for my 2c/3a hair. I absolutely love your videos and you! It's so awesome that God is at the center of your life, and it shows that you love Him. Don't worry if people don't think you dress modestly enough, you're doing just fine and you're not afraid to be yourself. I love your sense of fashion, and of course your hair is GORGEOUS!! I, too, had awful period cramps and heavy flow and went on Depo for 3 years. I liked it because it stopped my period, but it messed with my hormones too much. Caused hot flashes, night sweats, excess hair where I don't want it growing. I went off of it in September and I got an IUD in late December. My OB said that the hormones are localized in the uterus so it doesn't affect the rest of the body as much. The insertion kinda sucked, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I'm not having any hot flashes anymore and the situation with the excess hair on my face is improving. I did get my period in mid January, but the cramping was minimal and I was actually able to get out of bed and function normally! My period only lasted 2 days and it was so light that all I had to wear was a pantyliner. I'm not sure how you feel about IUD's and hormones because you did say you were trying to take a natural approach to help with your symptoms, but it may be something to consider. There is the Paragard IUD which is hormone free and made of copper, but I wouldn't recommend that one because it makes cramps and bleeding worse. There are 3 other hormonal IUD's, here in the US. The Mirena, Kyleena (which has a lower dose of hormones), and the Liletta (the one I have).
    Anyway, I thought I'd throw that out to you as a possible option, because for me at least, it's better than the oral and injectable birth controls. The IUD is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy, it can help with painful periods, there's no pills that you have to take or have to remember to bring with you when traveling, you don't even feel the IUD (unless it shifts out of place), and there's not as many side effects as the pills and the shot.
    I was wondering... Have you heard of the Zotos All About Curls line of products? I found them at my local Sally's Beauty Supply. My hair needed serious help. I had been shampooing it every day and it was so dry and damaged that it was literally falling out in clumps in the shower! I was on the verge of tears when telling the girl at the counter. She told me that this was her favorite line of products and I'd notice the results in a few weeks. And she was right!!! I sweat really bad at my job because I'm always running around, so my scalp and hair develop a smell if I don't clean it at least every other day. I use the All About Curls no lather cleanser, their daily conditioner, the It's A 10 Coily leave-in conditioner, and the All About Curls High Definition Gel. I clean my scalp once a week with a clarifying shampoo and I deep condition. I never use heat on my hair, not even a diffuser, because my hair is very sensitive to heat and gets dry really easily, and it's also extremely sensitive to protein. I go to the salon once every month to do their intensive deep conditioning treatments as well. The Zotos products, not washing my hair every day, doing the deep conditioning at home and having the salon treatments have really saved my hair! I started this regimen in 2020. My hair was kind of short then, in a bob cut. Now my hair is down to my shoulders, and I want to grow it down to the middle of my back. A few years ago, I HATED my curly hair and always wore it in a ponytail because I didn't know how to care for it properly. Now that I know how to do it, I absolutely LOVE my curly hair. I've fully embraced it, even though sometimes it can get a little frizzy and unmanageable, and nothing I seem to do helps it, lol. I know I'll have those days, and now I don't really care because it doesn't need to be perfect. Everyone's hair is unique, and that's the beauty of it!
    Sending you prayers, peace, love and light from chilly Minnesota!!
