it is very wonderful. You studied Arabic carefully. I was pleased with your pronunciation of the Arabic language, and I liked it. I am from Egypt and I am an Arabic language teacher and I graduated from the Arabic Language Department and specialized in Arabic Literature at Cairo University. months ago I began making videos teaching Arabic to non-native speakers on UA-cam. I salute you.
I came across this video by chance, and wow! Never thought my first language has so many learners like this. For any Arabic learners who need free practice, understand more about the culture or Quran, I'll be more than happy to help!
Do you mean that you can pronounce and read the text but you do not understand what it says? This isn't the point of learning a language. What use is there for this? When you read the Quran in Arabic, how much do you actually understand? Do you only know it in Arabic?
The use my friend is the Qurán itself, as it is the word of Allah, reading it is a virtue in and of itself, literally understanding the text and its grammatical composition is a higher level, and even then you'll find words that are more complex and will need an Arabic dictionary's aid to understand it, what you read in other languages is not the Qurán but a translation of it, so to correct you : you don't read the Qurán in Arabic, rather the Qurán is the Arabic text, the rest are merely translations of it, and thus the latter will defer while the former is identical to the dot, plus FYI understanding the Quránic Arabic does not necessitate being able to communicate the language freely as it is unique and also blessed by Allah to make it easier for people to learn and memorize, try listening to a Qurán recitation and Arabic news channel for example, you'll immediately feel the difference even though you don't speak the language. @@Nexus-jg7ev

Your Arabic is very good Zoe! Well done on all the work you have put in to learning one of the most difficult languages out there! One thing to note is that in Arabic each syllable gets the same vocal attention as the other in pronunciation. So clarity is important as subtle changes in pronunciation can completely change the meaning. When you say alma3ani in the middle of the video, referring to the book title (the meaning), make sure to extend the AA ni part of the word not just emphasize the deep throat A (3) sound. I have to say your Arabic is impressive!

Started with alphabet including pronunciation and speaking, grammar, morphology, phonology, phonetic etc. so much disciplines. Arabic isn't only widely spoken but also widely meaning. Many thanks for this absolutely brilliant overview of what learning Arabic actually represents. The language is complex, mysterious and divinely beautiful. How refreshing to hear from someone who has made such effort to understand the Arabic panorama with such honest objectivity.
Any tips to learn arabic, since i already can read arabic and know the alphabets as well because i am a urdu speaker. Would really appreciate your help
I think the basic lesson if you want to study or learn arabic fusha (فصحى) is shorof (الصرف) and Nahwu (النحو) and for prounoncation you must learn (مخارج الحروف)
Thank you, Zoe, for this video! I, too, have been curious about how you went about learning Arabic. I totally agree that it's important to learn the Arabic alphabet and that acquiring the language through input is really key. But I'm basically doing things in the reverse order of you. I'm studying Levantine Arabic (which is a big task in and of itself with the amount of linguistic diversity in that small region!) and maybe one day I'll learn Fusha (if I need to). But there is so much Fusha in Syrian and Jordanian Arabic that I don't think it will be hard to one day learn how to understand the formal language. And most of my iTalki teachers are great about telling me if a word/expression/grammar point comes from MSA, so I actually already know a lot about it. I mean, this is the way that native speakers learn Arabic--first dialect and then formal language in school. . . Thank you for the study plans and resources! Some of the resources are new to me. Best wishes!
@@MrF.S No, it's the opposite. You learn your dialect first at home from your family and then you go to school and learn Fusha, right? And, to me, the most important thing about communication in a foreign language is being able to understand the other person in the conversation. . . Few people go around speaking Fusha, so you will not understand people, even if they understand you. And many people will not feel comfortable with you if you do not speak to them in a colloquial style.
I want just to point out that arabic is a very rich language even for native speakers when we read an old poetry we get stunned for the deepness of writting and we don't know a lot of words. My english is not good cuz this is my 2nd foreign language. Peace from morocco 🇲🇦
Amaizing! I love languages too... That's so impressive. Because Arabic is one of the most difficult garammar, once you nail it down, you juste discover all the beauty of this language. ما شــــــــــــــــــــــــاء الله
In the arabic language, grammar is a huge science, and most of actual arabs can't understand it, it's called NAHW "علم النحو" because the references to learn it are written with a very difficult arabic, and I'm proud that I can understand it easily . Sorry for my English level.

Amazing!, Great video with so much information!! I think you are better in Arabic Language than many of us who studied Arabic their whole life in their own Arab countries!
My language is Urdu and Urdu language has 80% Arabic and 20% Persian words. Apart from this, there is a lot of emphasis on the teaching of Arabic grammar in religious schools in Pakistan. And the Arabic word Zeena(زينة) in Urdu Zeenat(زینت) gives the sence of Adornment.something to be proud of.And the meaning changes if you add or reduce a letter to the word and the word is translated by looking at the place in the sentence.
Not 80% arabic and 20% persian words, Urdu originated in India so around 75% of Urdu words have their etymological roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit, and approximately 99% of Urdu verbs have their roots in Sanskrit and Prakrit. The remaining 25% of Urdu's vocabulary consists of loanwords from Persian and Arabic.
@@anas9916please get your sense of reality right if Urdu really developed in Persian or Turkish regions than it would be the spoken language there. It is not. Urdu is a Language that developed in India and has Sanskrit, Arabic and Persian roots.
@@riz9823 Urdu is closely related to and mutually intelligible with Hindi, although much of Urdu's vocabulary comes from Persian and Arabic, while Hindi contains more vocabulary from Sanskrit.

@Asiandramas99 its a definitely not my field or area to say anything about it I recommend you to watch only the very first video of nouman ali khan traching arabic The one he teaches to kids It explains the classic arabic (fusha) is a part of the Quran language but the Quran doesnt only contain fusha
@@Asiandramas99 Today's fusha Arabic is indeed the same as Arabic at the time when Quran was revealed. However, Fusha Arabic is not entirely like Quranic Arabic because of the vocabulary, a native Arab who speaks fusha Arabic might not understand some of the words used in the Quran because its not used anymore. Arabic when the Quran was revealed had like a thousand words for the word Camel and all the words are slightly different, modern Arabs who speak fusha will only know very few of those words and will have to look into a dictionary. Arabic is difficult even for Arabs, it has endless number of words and its grammar is even more endless. Arabic grammar is one of the hardest subjects in school for most Arabs.
I'm so happy that people are so interested in learning my native language! Arabic is not that easy y' know.. even native speakers sometimes find the grammar difficult, so for non natives that would be sooooo difficult.. Good luck learning Arabic, guys!

I think the basic lesson if you want to study or learn arabic fusha (فصحى) is shorof (الصرف) and Nahwu (النحو) and for prounoncation you must learn (مخارج الحروف)
You are outstanding and your presentation is a testimony of your intelligence ! Thank you for your excellent advice !
Do not worry about the dialects. All Arabs understand classical because it is the first thing we learn, and then we learn the dialect of our country

@Asiandramas99 its a definitely not my field or area to say anything about it
I recommend you to watch only the very first video of nouman ali khan traching arabic
The one he teaches to kids
It explains the classic arabic (fusha) is a part of the Quran language but the Quran doesnt only contain fusha
