Steel Series is really doing something good here. I think that Logitech needs to do something that Zowie, Razer, Glorious, and SteelSeries have been doing, which is releasing a mouse, but just smaller/has some minor changes. An example would be the RAzer Viper and Viper Mini, Glorious Model O and Model O-, and literally any Zowie mouse (because they all come in different sizes).
6:56 - Yes! I use the Arctis 7 wireless and it's super annoying not knowing the exact charge percentage. Especially with how the software seems to lie to me sometimes telling me its funny charged with the bars filled up when it isn't.
Really glad to see SteelSeries making it back towards the top! Since leaving the ever obsolete wires behind me I've been looking at a wireless mouse that could live up to the Rival 300 and Rival 310 shape. This looks to be back on track! On another note, have you tried the Rpzzat Kone Pro Air? I ordered mine basically the day before this mouse was unveiled, and I am quite happy with it although it seems like it has been outshine by this release. Could you compare them?
Did you end up buying this mouse? If so how does it compare to the 310 shape ergonomically, easy to adjust to it?. Really want to go wireless but the 310 shape is just so good, this does look close though.
My only complaint would be the tiny side buttons. I guess I'm used to larger ones like the Burst or Xm1. They felt awkward trying to reach, and look comically small on a large ergo mouse.
I had the rival 3 wired before and i looked at the same mouses definetly dont get super light because it is TOO light and i didnt see the razer viper but i personally chose the prime wireless
Brooooo, I’ve been waiting for this ! I’ve been soooo close to pull the trigger on the ninjutsu one x, but been a bit worried about their quality and debounce on the switches. Glad I waited 😍
I'm a big SteelSeries fan, having the Apex 7 w/ Red Switches, the Rival 3 RGB Mouse, and the QcK Prism XL Mouse Mat RGB......I really dig their quality, price, and the Apex series of keyboards has THE BEST RGB in the business!
To me it has the perfect shape, and the perfect clicks. I know they're too heavy for someones taste, but I'll take that trade-off for the "premium click feel" any day. They're crisp, yet rock solid and smooth. Not creaky/scratchy, wobbly and just horrible! (Looking at you, Model D!) The downsides of the slightly weird weight distribution and sensor placement, and the high un-adjustable lift-off distance, is for now outweighed by the pro's. I've gotten used to the first two of those by this point anyways. The DAv3 could possibly be a better overall package, but I'm not paying up for the switch, and this is still my favourite shape of the two so I'd rather just use my unit until it gives out, and then hope they've updated it to an even more refined verson by then.
Steelseries makes great mice, but I won't get any until they start releasing white variants. White mice look SO good. Frank-san, please get them to make white peripherals.
@TheAnbuShinobi You literally can't buy their Powerplay mats in many countries, including Canada due to radiation laws. So that is practically irrelevant because it's not easily accessible.

So, I have a wireless SteelSeries Rival 650, and the charging behavior drives me nuts. Under normal conditions (not charging) if it goes to sleep, I have to click a button to wake it up; it doesn't wake up on movement. Then if it's plugged in and charging, after it goes to sleep, it won't wake up unless I first *unplug* it, then click a button. Then I can plug it back in to keep charging, and hope it doesn't go to sleep again. Does this mouse do that? If so, it's a deal breaker for me and I'll be moving on to Glorious Model O Wireless. Speaking of that, do you prefer the SteelSeries Prime, or the Model O Wireless?
This could be the one I've been looking for. I want wireless, I want Ergo. Top picks so far WERE Logitech G502 and Razer Basilisk Ultimate: I love the shape, with the Logi i liked the extra 2 buttons beside the left click, Razer was top pick with extra width but honestly, neither are wide enough. Now I just need to get into a store that will let me hold it before buying! Thanks Frank!
I’ve gone through 4 rival 600s and 2 rival 650s... if it’s anything like the others the buttons will fail and if you get one with rubber on it that will fall off too. I have a all steel series set up and they just don’t last. I wish they would because I love their products when they work. My 300 dollar steel series arctis pro wireless just crapped out a week ago as well. Just out of no where my right earphone just went out and never turned back on. Like I said I wish they would work longer but they just don’t. Cant keep up with the replacements anymore it’s just ridiculous.
The rubber on both my 310 and 600 fell off however I live in a very hot environment with no air conditioning, so that's probably part of the reason why it happened.
@@K4LZ either way it shouldn’t happen. I have air conditioning and it still did. That’s not even the reason I had to get a new mouse so many times. I love their stuff but it just doesn’t last.
Are there any other big name wireless mice with default usb type c dongles? It makes sense to start going with usb-c since some laptops are doing away with usb-a entirely. Smart.
SteelSeries are a close second to Corsair for me. The build quality at least on the Apex Pro was amazing, the keypress experience was by far the best I found to this day but in terms of speed it obviously lags behind the K100 OPX a few.... ms? If that, so who knows if it's noticeable. The mice I have no experience with but the M65 is what got me into corsair, it fits like a dream and with the Prime being slightly bulkier I have my doubts, since I like to move the mouse around in my hand without moving my arm, so the smaller the better.
