About the G305: I bought this mouse way back in November last year for my laptop for work. It was on sale on amazon for about 35€ (~40$US). I have used it for about 100 hours for gaming and I was really happy with it. The battery that came with it is still working btw (I used it definitely more than 500+ hours for work and gaming).
For those interested in the "Pwnage Ultra Custom" or "PUC" make sure you also check out the "Xenics Titan GX AIR Wireless" and the "Ironcat Infinity Two Pro". The "PUC" uses an OEM design with an older sensor. (PixArt 3335 vs PixArt 3370) Just thought this could be helpful to know if you are in the process of shopping for a new gaming mouse!
Fyi, the OEM manufacturer is Ironcat. The infinity two pro is sold as Ultra custom symm and one pro is sold as ultra custom ergo. Ironically over here we actually get these mice for cheaper than what Pwnage sells them for. Ultra custom symm (infinity two pro) sells for around 90$ and Ultra custom ergo (infinity one pro) sells for around 60$.
I just switched to a G305 from the G602. At 2/3 the weight you can easily feel the difference and I love the simplicity. Got it for $40 as well, great deal!
I use the g305 and its honestly perfect. Your review convinced me and i also did your weight reduction mod and i honestly couldnt imagine spending more on a mouse. Quality, size, form, weight and performance are all in point and i got it for only 40€. Been recommending it ever since.
I bought the g305 a few days ago before watching this video. Happy its mentioned here so I made a good choice. To me having a battery I can swap out is much better than having to use a charging cable. Also I have rechargable AA enloops so when the battery does go flat I can swap it out and charge it up again.
I absolutely love the model O wireless. I came from a G703 and the weight difference is heavenly. I never once noticed the holes while using it and the buttons are better.
I bought the g305 on your recommendation and I'm very happy so far. It's a bit to small for regular use, but for gaming I also use a clawgrip and for that it's pretty perfect.
@@Romulus84 Bought my g305 back in December 2018 and used it every day since, sure I don't hammer the bollocks out of it in FPS games all day but still used it constantly since and not had any issues with double click, the middle wheel is a bit shit not gonna lie if you use it as a button and even then it sucks to scroll but other than that it's a great mouse for the price.

I think the Viper Ultimate deserves to be on this list. Just as good as the ones on this list, plus the charging station is just so nice and convenient - no other mouse has that
the viper ultimate aint that up to date anymore, the weight is on the heavy side for todays standard. its a good mouse but its just out classes by other wireless gaming mouse,
Your review on the g305 back when it came out is what got me to subscribe. Using it to this day with the AAA adapter, 3D printed honeycomb backplate, and adhesive grips that you recommend. Great mouse for the money.
G305 is a really solid mouse. Been using it since 2018. Just started getting some double clicks after 3 years of daily use (its also my work mouse!), but won't hesitate to replace it with another G305 or replace the switches.
I went from a G305 to Model O - to Viper Ultimate Wireless, and now I'm using a Logitech G Pro X Superlight. Definitely the best mouse if it's in your budget, in my honest opinion the Viper Ultimate felt better in my hand, but after a minute or two of playing I forget I'm even holding the Superlight in my hand. It is that light 😆
if you have small/medium hands or big hands and like claw gripping the g305 would be my recommendation. i have big hands and dont like claw grip. i always found myself returning to wired g402 as it is the perfect size for me, i can hybrid palm/claw grip it with my hand. the steelseries aerox 3 is a perfect size for me so if you prefer to palm/hybrid grip a mouse and have big hands, the aerox 3 is fantastic. the size almost feels identical to the g402, but its MUCH more comfortable and obviously lighter. i use wired version of aerox 3 myself cause first off im more comfortable with wires for some reason, i use giant mouse pads that can fit a keyboard on left side and give me plenty of space on right for my mouse (not really an fps gamer outside a couple games but i am also an arm aimer and have plenty of room)so the wire really makes no difference. was expecting the lack of wire to really be game changing once response times actually began equaling wired, but it felt less comfortable in a way i cant articulate. its as if the wire grounding my mouse that i can barely perceive helps me position it exactly where i want on my monitor somehow and hit flicks in OW for instance. plus it's 20 some odd grams lighter but the wireless is still like 78 something grams which is plenty light
Just ordered my Pwnage Ultra Custom Symm. When I watched the first video you made, I wasn't so sure if I wanted to go with this mouse, but now I've decided to go with this mouse over the model-o wireless and razer viper ultimate. Thank you for making such great content!
A nice add-on I’d like to see is if these mice are compatible both wireless and wired. Being able to swap between the two would greatly change my decision. As well as if they come with a dongle or only Bluetooth. Great video nonetheless! I always value your opinion.
Thanks for making me aware of the Pwnage Ultra Custom Symm mouse, Ali. (I got interested in it, in your review of it.) It's on my desk now and has replaced my Model O- I haven't tested it in games yet, but it feels great in the hand and build quality seems good. I forgot how nice it was having a wireless mouse. I have both the G305 and the Razer Orochi, and the difference is astonishing. The Razer Orochi is just so much more comfortable. A contour that surprised me was how much the fullers bent down for the fingers, which was more impressive than the less ergonomic shape of the fullers on the G305.
I enjoyed the 305, then I switched to GPW... Sadly my GPW broke the other day and I had to switch back to the 305 and I can confidently say I much much prefer the GPW. The 305 is just too small for its weight. I've order a superlight (1) for $70 and have high hopes.
I've been recommending the g305 to anyone who's new to pc gaming. It's cheap and does EXACTLY what It's supposed to do. Great entry level mouse and I still keep one as a spare if my model O breaks

I've had mine for 6 months, still haven't changed the battery a single time! Using it for work during the day, gaming in the evenings and sometimes forget it on overnight.
I had the same issue with my daughter's G305. I fixed it by lifting the shell of the mouse button and then just blew away some dirt from the switch underneath. It might not work for you, but it's worth a shot. My G602 has been holding up well for over a year, no issue.
@@NootNoot. That's too bad. It's a shame a lot of the Logitech mice have this problem. Probably other brands as well, using the same switches. I just ordered the Pwnage Ultra Custom Symm, based on the recommendation here, as a wireless replacement for my Model O- Exited to see how it fairs. Good luck with your purchase.
Just bought the Steelseries Aerox 3 Wireless and I absolutely love it. Everything from the reactivity of the mouse, the low click latency, the ergonomic, the design, really love it. Previously I was using the Razer Deathadder Elite 2 and then I bought the Razer Viper 8Khz but the cable, even though I tried to put if in a way that's not bothering me too much, felt just awful, the difference between a wired and wireless gaming mouse is night and day for me.
I got the G305, for 29 quid, off Amazon Warehouse, it was brand new, besides not having a battery, I got about 3 months of battery life out of it, and use it for gaming and at work
Awesome favorites Ali! I'm using the Model D is my gaming mouse and a G305 with battery mod as my work mouse. Of course I use the G305 occasionally for gaming aswel!!
as a cheap-ass gamer, I really appreciate that G305, I bought the white version for around 40 dollars and it delivers, getting that flagship hero sensor with a minimum of 3 months battery life is insane, and I'm grateful for it 💛
My current weapon of choice is the Gpro wireless. My biggest gripe with all the other mice in the list is that they are ALL geared towards right handed people even though they are "ambidextrous". The auxiliary buttons are always on the left side of the mouse and therefore unusable if you are left handed. I wish that more companies would take this into consideration and either cater to us or alternatively remove the buttons altogether.
razer viper ultimate is good don't overlook it but for $150 it might be might cheaper to get the glorious o wireless. good video tho keep up the good work
I got a Razer Viper Ultimate about a month before the Glorious Model O wireless came out here in the UK cause it was on offer for less than the Model O. Really great mouse for me who uses a palm / claw grip. Having 2 extra buttons on each side is pretty neat as well.
Going through the comments, it seems the G305 is the most popular. I've been using mine for 2+ years, and I absolutely love it! I'm definitely going to keep using this thing until it's dead.
yes, that would be nice too, but the category is probably dominated by the MX Master 3. Plus, any decent gaming mouse could be used IMO. Still would watch the video.
I've found the Logitech G602 to be a good mouse for productivity. It's been superseded by the G604. They're "gaming" mice, but don't let that put you off. For some reason the G602 is more expensive than the G604 in my region now. It used to be dirt cheap, around $35, but now it's closer to $100. Worth a look though, if you can find it for a reasonable price.
there no difference. use keyboardshortcuts and a good gaming mouse and you are golden. you don't need all kinds of crap on a mouse to make it good at productivity. mx master is highly overrated and way too heavy. bought one for work and stopped using it pretty fast. back to the g pro wireless. far better for both gaming and work.
The Superlight may be the best mouse hands down, but the 305 truly is unparallel performance for price. I'm on my 2nd after 3 years it developed dyslexia in the scroll wheel. For my second, I've done some mods. I've drilled holes all across the backplate and the bottom; reducing about 9.5 grams from the weight; with a AAA adapter on the way. This WILL remove the slight back-heaviness making it closer to the superlight than any other mouse.
@@ryderparr After a few months now no cleaning, however depends on your environment. I am starting to have button squeeks though. I'll need to take it apart and oil I think..
@@ManOfAttitudeLP1998 I personally haven’t used that mouse. I have tried a couple Razer mice mice, a couple Logitech G series, Cooler Master MM710/711. The MM710/711 were by far a much better grip style over the Logitech & Razer mice. But by far for my hand the Ultra Customer Ergo (UCE) was another massive leap/step in comfort and grip etc over the MM719/711. The Ultra Custom Ergo for me feels like an extension of the hand rather then a needing a readjustment of my wrist/hand etc from the MM710/711 and the UCE feels more conforming of my hand shape. I personally love my UCE and purchased additional battery / USB dongles etc as I plan to keep this for the long haul and have some parts to keep it going longer. One note is you MUST plug in the USB receiver dongle to use the mouse in either wireless or wired mode (for charging)
@@michaelthompson9798 I also had a G703 Hero which was ergo which was a decent shape for me but not as good as the roccat. Also had Viper Mini and Ultimate which were kinda flat
I compared the Model O Wireless and Razer Viper Ultimate and found the Viper Ultimate to feel a bit better in hand but the buttons on the Model I Wireless are a tiny bit better which echoes your sentiments. I ended up returning the Model O Wireless and a few months later that thing is hard to find in stock outside of their web store (even then I've been seeing the matte black model go out of stock quite frequently).
For us into ergo mice, the upcoming CoolerMaster MM731 and Roccat Kone Pro Air look really intriguing. And the Delux M800 seems like a great deal for people on a budget who like ambi mice
I've used my G305 for 3 years... I've changed the battery once/twice. I use it for work every 4 days on a 12 hour shift and I recently bought a PC again so gaming in my free time, incredible, incredible mouse for the price.
I fell in the trap of nostalgia when Logitech released the Legendary mx518 with an updated sensor to replace my aging og mx518, don't get me wrong the mouse is great imo, but it's still no wireless, and cable routing/placement gets tedious after a while. Been wanting to try a good wireless mouse for quite some time now, maybe I'll try one of these in the near future. Thanks for the tips.
Thanks for the perfect timing Ali, my G903 became useless out of the blue today because of the famed double clicking issue, and now I need a new wireless mouse.
Thought I replied to this, but I guess I didn't. The G903 is harder to disassemble than my phone, as Logitech thought it'd be a great idea to completely cover the back of the battery in strong adhesive. As a result it's stupidly easy to puncture the battery, and you won't even realize it until you finally remove it. It's doable, but you may be better off finding a new mouse unless your job or hobby is disassembling/repairing stuff imo. For mice besides the G903, it's certainly doable. I've had 2 G903s over the years, and the double clicking + battery puncture was how I lost the first one, the second one shouldn't have even failed (It was the G903 SE, which allegedly had new switches, but it ended up double-clicking anyways). It's a shame really, they're my favorite mice ever, but the double clicking makes them un-useable. I can't give money to Logitech knowing that this issue has been going on for ~5 years and their lazy asses haven't ever fixed it. I went back to wired and got a $50 Pulsfire Haste and have been pretty happy with it. Sorry for the long comment, I have a lot of thoughts about the G903 and it's build quality.
Great video, new Pwnage Ergo Wireless owner here super happy with it. Honestly looked fishy I mean they made the "first eSports energy drink" years ago lol. 🤣
I've been using a deathadder for about 15 years. would you recommend the deathadder wireless? How does razer's implementation hold up against logitech's.
Thanks for the honesty; I wouldn't buy Logitech again. Paid over £100 for a G903 & each time around 1.5 - 2 years the left-click fails. A mouse for that should last decades. Had £1 mice from eBay last decades.

I've had mine for 6 months, still haven't changed the battery a single time! Using it for work during the day, gaming in the evenings and sometimes forget it on overnight.
@@AndrewMcDreamy AAA or AA battery?
Great timing! Was searching for a replacement due to my Logitech G602 having the notorious double click issue.
I had the same issue with my daughter's G305. I fixed it by lifting the shell of the mouse button and then just blew away some dirt from the switch underneath. It might not work for you, but it's worth a shot. My G602 has been holding up well for over a year, no issue.
@@Kenny_Ded I've done that and usually it works. Then, after a week later it would go back to the issue. Thanks for suggestion tho! 👍
I love my g305 having it for almost two years and it is strooong. I love how logo is almost invisible now looks stealthy
Same
I have g102 for almost 5 years now. Love the shape and its comfortable in my hand. Gonna buy g305 soon for my first wireless experience.
Just bought the Steelseries Aerox 3 Wireless and I absolutely love it. Everything from the reactivity of the mouse, the low click latency, the ergonomic, the design, really love it.
Previously I was using the Razer Deathadder Elite 2 and then I bought the Razer Viper 8Khz but the cable, even though I tried to put if in a way that's not bothering me too much, felt just awful, the difference between a wired and wireless gaming mouse is night and day for me.
after 10 months, after still recommending it?
@@jawcetiwhat the fuck does that mean
I got the G305, for 29 quid, off Amazon Warehouse, it was brand new, besides not having a battery, I got about 3 months of battery life out of it, and use it for gaming and at work
Awesome favorites Ali! I'm using the Model D is my gaming mouse and a G305 with battery mod as my work mouse. Of course I use the G305 occasionally for gaming aswel!!
as a cheap-ass gamer, I really appreciate that G305, I bought the white version for around 40 dollars and it delivers,
getting that flagship hero sensor with a minimum of 3 months battery life is insane, and I'm grateful for it 💛
My current weapon of choice is the Gpro wireless.
Razer Viper. SImilar weight, comes in wireless option, and is amidextrous with buttons on both sides.
razer viper ultimate is good don't overlook it but for $150 it might be might cheaper to get the glorious o wireless. good video tho keep up the good work
I got a Razer Viper Ultimate about a month before the Glorious Model O wireless came out here in the UK cause it was on offer for less than the Model O. Really great mouse for me who uses a palm / claw grip. Having 2 extra buttons on each side is pretty neat as well.
I have one too but on my cordura mousepad it is way too fast my much lighter roccat kone pure ultra with a paracord feels much better on it
I removed around 7grams and I use it with fingertip, very nice shape imo
Going through the comments, it seems the G305 is the most popular. I've been using mine for 2+ years, and I absolutely love it! I'm definitely going to keep using this thing until it's dead.
Would you consider doing top 5 productivity mice?
yes, that would be nice too, but the category is probably dominated by the MX Master 3.
@@Dr.WhetFarts all you need on a productivity mouse is higher DPI limits so you don't need to use acceleration.
Literally just got my Glorious in .. loving it!
Do you gotta clean the mouse cause it got holes
@@ryderparr After a few months now no cleaning, however depends on your environment. I am starting to have button squeeks though. I'll need to take it apart and oil I think..
@@ginzero alright thanks
@@ginzero dude there is a whole reddit page on glorious model O wireless being faulty and having greats lags while gaming. Did you face any issue?
@@randipleon no lag issue just squeaks when clicking, going to try and take apart and lube…
Pwnage Ultra Custom Ergo FTW for me 🥰🥰👍🤯😍😍 and as a long term user, the quality is exceptional as it the fit for my hand size & gaming style 😌
Do you recommend it coming from a wired kone pure ultra with paracord as I prefer ergo shapes
I bought the G403 4 years ago and it's still going strong. Battery only lasts a week these days but not too inconvenient
For us into ergo mice, the upcoming CoolerMaster MM731 and Roccat Kone Pro Air look really intriguing. And the Delux M800 seems like a great deal for people on a budget who like ambi mice
Yep M800 is literally a Viper Mini but wireless
Still rocking my Wireless Razer Naga Epic Chroma from 2014. That 12 button one.
this is the best mouse review i have ever seen!
Love the new intro.......
G305 with a AAA battery mod is where it's at.
Thanks for the perfect timing Ali, my G903 became useless out of the blue today because of the famed double clicking issue, and now I need a new wireless mouse.
ez solder and desolder
the same fucking shit man I got so pissed but now i think I'll consider the g305, it's everybody's recommendation as I'm seeing
@@aboddy67 clicks are kinda ass lol
Almost pulling the trigger on a G305 :p
Great video, new Pwnage Ergo Wireless owner here super happy with it. Honestly looked fishy I mean they made the "first eSports energy drink" years ago lol. 🤣
I've been using a deathadder for about 15 years. would you recommend the deathadder wireless? How does razer's implementation hold up against logitech's.
Deathadder V2 is great if you like the shape
dude same i kind of want to try the Glorious Model O but im nervous to change lol
both my g pro wireless are amazing, addition of corepads improved it even more
Now the orochi v2 has finally been released, would easily belong to this list
Thanks for the honesty; I wouldn't buy Logitech again. Paid over £100 for a G903 & each time around 1.5 - 2 years the left-click fails. A mouse for that should last decades. Had £1 mice from eBay last decades.
Gonna pick up the g502 wireless. I have massive hands and it is one do the few mouses I’ve enjoyed using.
It's not too similar but if you have massive hands you should try the roccat kone pro
Dang, another great video. Could we possibly see a wider range of wireless gaming mice review from other manufacturers?
Awesome video! I'm sad my Viper Ultimate didn't quite make it but I use finger tip grip so I think it's better for me. :)
Yeah the viper ultimate is better than any of these mouse (excluding g pro wireless)
@@SrCoentros objectively speaking I disagree. But a large part of what makes a mouse good for someone is personal preference.
What about ? How could you leave that out!?
Viper Ultimate easily for me.
I wasn’t a huge fan of it, but after removing about 8grams and replacing the stock feet I’m loving it
I got the G305 last year and I love no change anytime soon
me when i see a optimum tech video pop up in my feed 🙂🙂
Really liking the new intro
Don’t think I’ve ever been this early to any video lol “20 seconds ago.” “1 view.”
Got my Pwnage Symmetry in and it rocks! Wired or wireless it’s by far my favorite mouse ever.
