We're missing the Mad King. In his case, don't antagonize Tywin. He certainly bears watching, but as the saying goes, keep your enemies closer. Snubbing his daughter or annointing Jaime to the Kingsguard can only done in isolation to the other. When Robert's Rebellion breaks out, you have a suitably ruthless commander who can win the Battle of the Bells before it gains that moniker. By burning Stony Sept to the ground and flushing Robert out into the open before the rebel army can come to save him. With the armies of the Stormlands defeated and the head of the rebellion gone, the war is on much more even terms. With House Tully having already declared for the rebels, you can tempt that sneaky, dirty old man Walder Frey into betraying his lord by pointing out he'll be the new power in the Riverlands once all of House Tully lies dead. This time when the two armies meet at the Trident, Lord Walder won't be late, but his appearance certainly won't be welcomed by the rebels when he attacks them in the rear. Tywin was able to give Walder guarantees in the main timeline, and he'd be able to do it in this one. We can't predict who survives the Battle of the Trident, but even if all three rebel commanders survive, their chances of victory are shot. And only the Vale and the North could salvage their situation by retreating into their defensible positions at the Neck and the Moongate, throwing the Riverlanders and Storm's End to the lions. Aerys keeps his crown, will probably die from all the cuts on the Iron Throne becoming infected, and Rhaegar will be hailed as the new, fresh start of House Targaryen as the new King. At least until that coin finally lands, and his obsession with prophecy gets the better of him and he proves himself just as crazy as his dad was.

What about Aegon Targaryen, Sixth of His name, trueborn king of the Andals, Rhoynar, and the First Men, Lord of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm?
Recollections like this must have been how Brynden Rivers spent his days while living under a hill North of the Wall. Considering all the ways each Lord, Lady, Queen and King could have won their respective wars for power. That much hindsight would culminate in a considerable amount of wisdom that would make any crippled boy he possesses capable of being King.

Eh. Not really. A lot of the instances laid out are damning... when taken out of context. At Qarth, in the show, yes, she handled that wrong. She's a teenage girl without any real preparation who grew up on tales of previous Targaryens who had grown dragons. For them, threatening, or even using, dragons, to various degrees, got results. She should have banked more on her dragons being miracles and let the Qarthi shower her with gifts, which she did in the books. In the books and the show, we see what terrible people the Masters are and Daenerys has good reasons to hate them all. Every act of violence has a reason behind it. Double-crossing the Good Masters? They literally had babies killed. I sympathize with the Masters more than most, but I also fully understand Dany not wanting them to be better off for their interaction. She saw an opportunity and took it. I don't love how she handled Yunkai, but her going there at all speaks to her compassion and benevolence being genuine, not a mask. Her indiscriminate killing of the Great Masters is, also in the books, treated as morally impure. Even Daenerys is uncomfortable with that bit of 'an eye for an eye'. Some of the Great Masters may have been innocent, most were not. In the books and the show, she's constantly being advised to be moderate and reasonable, and it consistently either frustrates her or backfires. The Masters tried to assassinate her when she was actively trying to make peace. In the show, Tyrion, on her behalf, treated with the Masters of Astapor, Yunkai and Volantis, only for the other cities to attack Meereen. Then, on Tyrion's advice, she constantly held back in Westeros. This, as she rightly points out, 'cost us the Iron Islands, Dorne and the Reach.' Daenerys kills with fire as a political statement. Showing she can do that is showing she has dragons. This is Targaryen strategy 101. She's portraying herself as a remarkable blend of liberator and reformer on one hand, and legitimate heir to the country her family founded on the other. She executes people for standing against her. Literally everyone in power in Westeros does that. When she promises Varys that "If you ever betray me again, I will burn you alive", he responds "I would expect nothing less from the Mother of Dragons." I can see how you might read that as a subtle but brutal attack on her character... but it's not. It's an acknowledgement, given out casually and with a smile, that this is something to be expected, given her position. In the books, we have seen Dany WANTING to be good as well as do good. It's just not been working out, because it's hard. However, her latest chapter hints she will soon start down a much darker road, embracing the violence, the dragon blood in every Targaryen, even the best ones. And by the end of her story, she may well be a full-on, if tragic, villain, and 'mad'. But she tried very hard not to be, and was screwed over for it.
WHAT IF Joffery never killed Ned stark and Jamie Lannister was traded for Ned Stark. How would the war of the 7 Kings play out? Would Ned Support stannis? Would ned agree to attacking renly? What would happen to Robb stark?
where the hell did 7 come from Ned joins up with stannis but probably defects if he sees Stannis burn people alive and useMelisandre and her powers he especially defects if Stannis tries to burn Edric Storm which would then spurn multiple questions into effect Would Renly back down if the North stands with Stannis? the onlyreason Renly didnt want to negotiate with stannis at all was cuz he held all the cards The North was looking to negotiate with him, the Stormlands and Reach stood with him and Stannis had no fighting men basically In this scenario the stormlands would be reluctant to stand Against the man who lifted the siege of storms end AND procured King Roberts will to have Stannis his Heir so with ned and stannis right there i doubt they would join renly and the Tyrells and Renly both wouldnt feel so confident going up against two seasoned veterans with the full force of the North riverlands and the stormlands at least out of commission renly likely wouldve given up the throne and be named Heir Stannis and Ned would lead the fight against the Westerlands and crownlands which at the peak of their power would only have 80 thousand troops against the 120 thousand that was already mustered at the start of the war lol also with ned being alive i dont see the Vale lords being keen on staying out of the fight TBH even if Tywin magically got Dorne and the Iron islands on his side and waited out Ned enough to make him go north to deal with Mance i dont see him winning this scenario TBH.
3:04 I'll be _that guy_ for this one. I don't believe highborn ladies take baseborn names when they marry and both of the "Lannister" husbands are baseborn, so no, she's still Tyrell.
Idk if this channel is the place for this sort of thing, but lately I keep seeing on Reddit "what if" scenarios about Darth Vader coming to Westeros. Usually responses tend to be biased to one universe or another, so I figured here would be a good place to break this down properly. But again, dunno is this is the place for it
The renly one hurts the most. He was arguably the smartest or 2nd smartest behind stannis but his pride got in the way of the obvious best move. Stannis wasn’t gonna have another heir and he literally promised to make renly his heir. Take the deal and poison him later if you really wanted to speed things along
What if daeron 2 was able to make peace with daemon blackfire and stop the blackfire rebellion from happening (still think bitter steel would be exiled due to beef with bloodraven)
Why do y'all think Shireen wouldnt be alive long? Greyscale isn't fatal in children, typically, and she's old enough to be past the point where it could've killed her.
8:35 There is no way the lannisters could have known this, but Ned would not have reached the north, let alone the wall, alive. (I subscribe to the little finger hiring the faceless man ((joqen))to kill Ned argument)
I don’t get certifications any more for your videos also where’s my free for all kingdom video hahahaha mad how much your channel as grown in such a short time it awesome to see.
"Robert was the true steel. Stannis is pure iron, black and hard and strong, yes, but brittle, the way iron gets. He'll break before he bends. And Renly, that one, he's nothing but copper, bright and shiny, pretty to look at but not worth all that much at the end of the day." - Donal Noye
To be honest, I think that the whole deal with Danny's Mad Queen arc was justified in the show but will be more complicated or would not happen to the lengths the show took it.
I honestly think rob shouldve had Jeyne as a mistress and listen to Cat about why it would make sense because they knew before they made the agreement with Walder Frey was that he was untrustworthy
I know this will get buried,. Soooo, I have a lore query. When the Targarians moved to dragon stone from Valyria they spent 100 years on the island before the conquest. But at the start of the conquest there is only the 3 main siblings and the potential half brother of Horus Boratheon. Is that all there is in the family. I mean in the Dunk and Egg story there are I think 5 male members of the family, not counting any Blackfire's. GRR had to trim the family line with a plague to limit the amount to Targarians to have to deal with by Robert's rebellion. Even in the Rebellion we have the mad king, mester Aemond, Raegar, the two infants the mountains killed, Danny and Vaeseries (I know most of the names are misspelled) So in summary, given how a family can increase in numbers naturally, is there a in universe reason why there are so few Targarions and dragons present during the Conquest after 100 years.
What about Viserys? Or Tommen? Or the Night King? And even for the Kings/Queens who won, could they have achieved their goals quicker and/or with less losses?
I think if they wete able to spread the mad queen story out a bit, it would've worked It was obvious thats what was coming but yes was too rushed at the end
Hey could you do a scenario where Rob Stannis Renly and Balon played ball with each other. I know it would be a short part 1 vs the lannisters. But how would they fair against Danny’s late game nukes? Probably not all that better. But surely they would have a better chance than alone.
In the next clip, I would like to ask what if we were a family and wanted to win Game of Thrones, not a big family, but just a small family in another land.
So Tywins wife was one of his own relatives? And he did it out of love? Doesn't that mean Jamie and Cersei are born of incest? Why didn't Tywin marry into the starks. Whatever happened to making sacrifices for the good of Lannister name my good sir? Can we say.... Hypocrite?
(Show only) I think Balons plan to conquer the north wasn't too poorly thought out tbf, Robbs south leaving the north fairly defenseless, Take moat calin, deepwood motte bear island secure the coast and main choke point for entering the north use the coastal castles as holding points to build strength on northern soil then slowly move further inland and take castle by castle leave winterfell till last but still take out torrherns square and with most of the north secured by Greyjoy rule negotiate with Tywin for the wardency of the north (kill balon at this bit as he wouldn't accept not being king) assume Yara gets lord reaper of Pyke from a kingsmoot make theon warden of the north. Robb still inevitable loses, as does stannis.
There were still far away for a victory, some boltons troops alone ousted them from Winterfel who was taeken just because Theon grow up there The biggest houses in the north castles were on the opposite side of the kingdom : White Harbour, Last Hart, Dreadford and Karhold The Greyjoys dosent have what it takes to conquer the north , Asha and Victarion would had never supported Theon ,out of spite and stupidity Asha was afraid to go inland ,she dosen't even want to take Winterfel, so she will never finish the enemy , if nor Robb ,at least the Boltons will pull their shit togheter and retake anything from the ironborn And in general no Greyjoy is smart enough to negociate with the Iron Throne a peace ,so no matter what they do , they will be caught in war until sombody will budder himself sail to their pure islands and eradicate them
Put lord of the rings and hobbit characters in duels with game of thrones and house of the dragon characters, I wonder where Aragon would land in the list.
@@pharaohbubbles1547 Oh yeah definitely, but what about. Frodo vs tyrion. Smaug vs Vhagar, and I know it should be Belerion but his dead in house of the dragon. Boromir vs Cristion Cole. And maybe Azog vs Jamie.
@phil.moloney2980 Frodo vs Tyrion: This one gave me a lot of pause... until I remembered something important. Each has advantages and disadvantages. I'll give my thoughts on each, then the match-up. Frodo Baggins is a Hobbit, not a Man, though the argument has been made Men in Tolkien are as much a fantasy race as Elves and Dwarves, Hobbits being the real humans. Regardless, he is short and lacking in reach, flaws he shares with Tyrion, but for Tyrion, this is a disability, for Frodo, it's his natural state. Hobbits have good aim and a few well-placed stones could unbalance Tyrion. Frodo (in the books) also has a modicum of martial prowess, fighting in Moria, and the courage to face off and even land a blow against Nazgûl. As for his equipment, even discounting the One Ring, he brandishes the Elven (Noldorine) dagger Sting, and goes clad in mithril chainmail. Tyrion Lannister, the Imp, definitely gets points for his background. While Arda can be a no less brutal place than Planetos, only the isle of Naath in the latter is more peaceful than the Shire. Living in Westeros and dealing with its political system breeds some ruthlessness and killer instinct. Tyrion also has a more impressive battle record, leading the left flank against the Boltons and holding King's Landing. He comes to the fight with Lannister-bought full plate and any weapon he chooses of the highest quality. Yeah, I thought of equipment last. That's the category that I think changes Frodo winning from a real possibility to a near inevitability. There's no way Tyrion gets through mithril. Sting, though? That very well could punch through armor. Noldorine weapons are supernatural even beyond Valyrian steel. Smaug vs Vhaegar: This is a rough one. Still, dragons in ASoIaF kill each other on the regular. Meanwhile, Smaug only seems vulnerable in one spot. Dragons are weak in the belly in the Tolkien legendarium, which is a weird design flaw by Morgoth, but whatever. Smaug remedied this with an armor of gemstones. With only one real gap in it. But there is of course the possibility Vhaegar could overpower Smaug. Could she? Eh. It would be a brutal fight, to be sure... but one, I believe, that would favor Smaug. If I have it right, he's bigger and stronger, able to destroy a city in a few passes. Boromir vs Christon Cole: Both have a lot going for them, but I think the Kingmaker takes this. Ser Christon, while not on the level of Jaime, Barristan or Arthur Dayne, is a remarkable talent. While not as much as Boromir, he does have real experience. And, without accounting for magic materials, ASoIaF seems to be more advanced than LotR in terms of armor, using plate rather than chainmail. It wouldn't be easy, but I believe Cole takes this one. Azog vs Jamie: Azog is a particularly powerful Orc warlord, a position he would not have acquired or retained were he not a particularly good fighter. While Orcs are a significant downgrade from men, Aragorn had to actually work to bring down an Orc captain. Still, that was likely more a 'Ned vs Jamie' situation, less 'Oh shit, I might lose' and more 'Ah, crud, I have to actually try'. Jamie is the greatest swordsman of his generation, only really outclassed by Barristan Selmy and Arthur Dayne. I have little doubt Jamie has the skill to pull off a win.
I don’t think the North ever sides w the Lannisters in any scenario because Ned Stark knows they’re not the rightful monarchs. If they send him to the wall he just heads back down to Winterfell because as pretenders to the throne they don’t have the authority to send him to the wall. No one knows that better than the warden of the north. If that happens he definitely sides with stannis and it’s easy dubs.
I honestly think that losing every single battle to a boy at his first go at playing war is less a sign Rob is a genius and more a sign that Tywin is incompetent. I mean Rob had military advisors and in war you don't need to win ten thousand battles but just one strategic one. When you have to build a new army with gold because the other one was obliterated I think that's more of having the unlimited resources cheat code on and less of a boss level general for most generals losing the first army is game over. Not Dunking on Tywin but I think he is over hyped ya he's smart but not Varys level of smart, Tywin started off with stuff, Varys did. Not. Hashtag. Respectfully change my mind.
agreed Joffrey would have to go cause he was out of control, he would kept making dumb decide after another and making thing worst, the only way I see Joffrey alive if he had treat sansa better and not be asswhole but he sitll would have and keep a private assassin ready to cersei cause just like Joffrey she out of control but she know how rule
I’m sorry but Dany didn’t burn the Tarly’s on a whim. They were too dangerous. To start they were the best of the reach’s military and had the promise of becoming the new lord’s paramount after dealing with Olenna. Second they betrayed their liege lords after years of service and intermarrying. But lastly they refused to bend the knee. The battle had been won by Dany’s forces and they were faced with decision to assimilate or die. They choose death not Daenerys.
Sorry people, but Dani's "insta-turn" to madness was nothing more than a vehicle to prevent any SEQUELS! D & D wanted OUT, no Game of Thrones 2.0, no "Queen Daenerys of Westeros" saga, NOTHING. They wanted to just take off and cash in on their $200 mill Netflix buyout. It's like the second dragon killing by Euron's ships: A mere vehicle to save $$$ on CGI

What would happen to Robb stark?
where the hell did 7 come from
Ned joins up with stannis but probably defects if he sees Stannis burn people alive and useMelisandre and her powers
he especially defects if Stannis tries to burn Edric Storm
which would then spurn multiple questions into effect
Would Renly back down if the North stands with Stannis?
the onlyreason Renly didnt want to negotiate with stannis at all was cuz he held all the cards The North was looking to negotiate with him, the Stormlands and Reach stood with him and Stannis had no fighting men basically
In this scenario the stormlands would be reluctant to stand Against the man who lifted the siege of storms end AND procured King Roberts will to have Stannis his Heir
so with ned and stannis right there i doubt they would join renly and the Tyrells and Renly both wouldnt feel so confident going up against two seasoned veterans with the full force of the North riverlands and the stormlands at least out of commission
renly likely wouldve given up the throne and be named Heir Stannis and Ned would lead the fight against the Westerlands and crownlands which at the peak of their power would only have 80 thousand troops against the 120 thousand that was already mustered at the start of the war lol
also with ned being alive i dont see the Vale lords being keen on staying out of the fight TBH
even if Tywin magically got Dorne and the Iron islands on his side and waited out Ned enough to make him go north to deal with Mance i dont see him winning this scenario TBH.
Crazy youse have 20k subs, the videos youse produce are fantastic, deserve well over 100k!!
But again, dunno is this is the place for it
If you haven’t already, could your future video be what if game of thrones characters had lightsaber forms?
I can't believe you're almost at a thousand subs!
The renly one hurts the most. He was arguably the smartest or 2nd smartest behind stannis but his pride got in the way of the obvious best move. Stannis wasn’t gonna have another heir and he literally promised to make renly his heir. Take the deal and poison him later if you really wanted to speed things along
yea but Renly wasnt about kinslaying either
What if daeron 2 was able to make peace with daemon blackfire and stop the blackfire rebellion from happening (still think bitter steel would be exiled due to beef with bloodraven)
That Danny take was perfect
Why do y'all think Shireen wouldnt be alive long? Greyscale isn't fatal in children, typically, and she's old enough to be past the point where it could've killed her.
8:35 There is no way the lannisters could have known this, but Ned would not have reached the north, let alone the wall, alive. (I subscribe to the little finger hiring the faceless man ((joqen))to kill Ned argument)
I would have preferred for Cersei to be the mad queen and man I wish Cersei prophecy would have been fulfilled and she would have got her comapancce
I don’t get certifications any more for your videos also where’s my free for all kingdom video hahahaha mad how much your channel as grown in such a short time it awesome to see.
Dicking Around Phase - The Video
Skinning is the most painful
Which characters (if any) could have kept Dany from breaking if they survived? Jorah? Barristan?
You should do a “HOW RENLY COULD HAVE WON.”
Just leaving this comment here to please the algorithm gods. (Another great video)
Stannis could always proclaim himself Emperor of Westeros and let Robb be his vassal King.
Even in the Rebellion we have the mad king, mester Aemond, Raegar, the two infants the mountains killed, Danny and Vaeseries (I know most of the names are misspelled)
So in summary, given how a family can increase in numbers naturally, is there a in universe reason why there are so few Targarions and dragons present during the Conquest after 100 years.
How the wildlings could have gotten what they wanted
Could Jeffrey's stupidity beat the mountain?
WHERE IS CRASTER?????
What about Viserys? Or Tommen? Or the Night King?
And even for the Kings/Queens who won, could they have achieved their goals quicker and/or with less losses?
Honestly if I was aleria and knew Cersei sent some one to bring me in for torture I'm keeping posion to use on myself if capture seems inevitable
I think if they wete able to spread the mad queen story out a bit, it would've worked
It was obvious thats what was coming but yes was too rushed at the end
Not gonna lie brodie, this video went by FAST
Hey could you do a scenario where Rob Stannis Renly and Balon played ball with each other. I know it would be a short part 1 vs the lannisters. But how would they fair against Danny’s late game nukes? Probably not all that better. But surely they would have a better chance than alone.
Honestly in that situation I would imagine Dorne at it, going ef it, and joining in against the lannisters for some payback
In the next clip, I would like to ask what if we were a family and wanted to win Game of Thrones, not a big family, but just a small family in another land.
How would it be possible for Ned to join the Night's Watch? The Northmen would definitely not allow it. He would be freed on the way to the Wall.
So Tywins wife was one of his own relatives? And he did it out of love? Doesn't that mean Jamie and Cersei are born of incest? Why didn't Tywin marry into the starks. Whatever happened to making sacrifices for the good of Lannister name my good sir? Can we say.... Hypocrite?
More details on how the Queen's could win
There were still far away for a victory, some boltons troops alone ousted them from Winterfel who was taeken just because Theon grow up there
The biggest houses in the north castles were on the opposite side of the kingdom : White Harbour, Last Hart, Dreadford and Karhold
The Greyjoys dosent have what it takes to conquer the north , Asha and Victarion would had never supported Theon ,out of spite and stupidity
Asha was afraid to go inland ,she dosen't even want to take Winterfel, so she will never finish the enemy , if nor Robb ,at least the Boltons will pull their shit togheter and retake anything from the ironborn
And in general no Greyjoy is smart enough to negociate with the Iron Throne a peace ,so no matter what they do , they will be caught in war until sombody will budder himself sail to their pure islands and eradicate them
Put lord of the rings and hobbit characters in duels with game of thrones and house of the dragon characters, I wonder where Aragon would land in the list.
Oh he slaughters them
@@pharaohbubbles1547 Oh yeah definitely, but what about.
Frodo vs tyrion.
Smaug vs Vhagar, and I know it should be Belerion but his dead in house of the dragon.
Boromir vs Cristion Cole.
And maybe Azog vs Jamie.
@phil.moloney2980 Frodo vs Tyrion:
This one gave me a lot of pause... until I remembered something important.
Smaug vs Vhaegar:
This is a rough one.
Boromir vs Christon Cole:
Both have a lot going for them, but I think the Kingmaker takes this.
Azog vs Jamie:
Azog is a particularly powerful Orc warlord, a position he would not have acquired or retained were he not a particularly good fighter.
I got great news while watching this video ❤😊
Lol 😂 finish the damn book Strong Rock!
Tywin needed to supplant cersei way harder than he did, arming the faith was a recipe for disaster and all she had to do was look at history
Hello can you please do what if daenerys had a twin brother and can you do a full video about how daenerys could have won the iron throne
ALL HAIL ME FIRST OF MY NAME!!!
All hail @dakotalange2858 First of his name! Long may he reign!
LONG MAY HE RAINNNNN
If I was Aluria sand I'd drink poison before letting myself get dragged to Cersei..
What if Sam didn't join the nights watch and died during a hunting accident? 🤔
come on lads... you're still dicking about :D but we love you for it
General Kenobi!!!
I’m suprised no one ever hires the faceless men, it might be very expensive but it’d be worth the price.
agreed Joffrey would have to go cause he was out of control, he would kept making dumb decide after another and making thing worst, the only way I see Joffrey alive if he had treat sansa better and not be asswhole but he sitll would have and keep a private assassin ready to cersei cause just like Joffrey she out of control but she know how rule
7:29 BS lol.
What if the unsulid executed Jon after he killed Dany?
Sorry people, but Dani's "insta-turn" to madness was nothing more than a vehicle to prevent any SEQUELS! D & D wanted OUT, no Game of Thrones 2.0, no "Queen Daenerys of Westeros" saga, NOTHING. They wanted to just take off and cash in on their $200 mill Netflix buyout. It's like the second dragon killing by Euron's ships: A mere vehicle to save $$$ on CGI
Hello
Where was how Jon could win?
He did win , then decided to save the people by ending dani
First
First!
