Love when you do "Mr Hands", that's where I learned to fish a baitcaster and deal with backlashes, tie some knots, rig lures, and decide what to fish...thanks Debo & Mr Hands!
You said a hook keeper with grass. Another trick is use a bopper stop. You run in up the hook to that last bend in the hook. Makes for a great bait keeper.
Thats how a small LuckEStrike bubblegum trout worm has been for me on ultralight, in one spot on Saturday i got a Largemouth, Perch, Crappie and Bluegill all from casting between 2 fallen trees in the shallows
They work year round also great in middle of winter and great in middle of summer 2nd most versatile bait in my soft plastics you can Texas rig them weightless and fish them like a soft jerkbait also you can fish just like any other Texas rig bait reel up let it glide to bottom also there great trailers for spinner baits and chatter baits I also use them nose hooked on my dropshot they crush it nose hook it also I Carolina rig with a fluke they have a awesome action behind that ball and chain they move so smooth and look just like a baitfish
Love the super fluke. I use the light wire hook as well for both my flukes and senkos. I fish them on both spinning and casting rods with really no preference. That Tennessee shad is a nice color. The colors are sometimes difficult to tell when looking at online pictures.
Enjoy the rig breakdowns Debo. Super easy cheap way to keep fluke from sliding down the hook.... push a toothpick thru the head of the fluke & the eye of the hook & snip the toothpick off. Won’t last forever, but works pretty good.👊
Zoom Tennessee Shad is my absolute favorite color for flukes and paddle tails. Great minds...! And you're definitely not alone, I had a dink fest last night, but at least the quantity was fun.

"Is it s fluke that I am catching them on the fluke?" Came for entertainment and got philosophy, make sure we are sitting down before you get us like that bro! I caught probably something like 30-40% of all the fish I caught last year (500+) on a fluke, rigged weightless on a 4/0 Owner Offset Round Bend worm hook, all in probably a 30-45 day period in the fall, I like a spinning outfit, 15lb braid to an 8-10lb mono leader, absolutely lethal option, great episode my friend!
I have been having a ton of luck with weightless flukes but your idea on rod and reel is awesome been wanting to try lighter lures on baitcasters ao I'll give it a try brother. Thank you again
Great video! I really liked the explanation of all the tackle that you used including that rod at the end of the video I found that to be really helpful. Thanks DEBO👍🎣
Love throwing flukes. Sometime I find missed hooksets on a ewg hook. I bought the new Owner Haymaker in a 3/0 and I have yet to miss a fish this year besides one that I missed right at the boat. Ewg profile with the straight penetration advantage of a flipping hook.
I love that talking hands view. I wish you'd do more of those, especially with your unboxings. I was a bit bummed, I didn't read the title (I watch everything you post so it didn't matter)... so when you started with the frog I thought this was gonna be your 50 fish frog day you were talking about. The weightless fluke has always been a part of my arsenal, a bag of TN shad in the bag at all times too. Fav color. Does well here in the PNW also. Thanks for the video Debo. ✌🏻🎣
That was a good day of bank fishin. We just had an amazing weekend here in Western Pennsylvania only about half a dozen fish that would have been Keepers in a tournament. But we got 60 between the two of us most of them in the 12 to 14 inch range
Z-man did a collab with strike king to make a small fluke bait called the z-too and it has absolutely slays for me in moving water. I hook it onto the googan drop shot hook because the mono bait keeper keeps it pegged nicely, tie it onto a 8lb mono, and as soon as I see my line move I’ll count to 2 and it’s over for that feesh. I’ve had bass, crappie, and some big bluegill eat it so it’s definitely a de-skunker when times are tough
I’m a bit of a nerd with my super flukes. When I first get them, I take them all out of the bag and put them back in, arranged so they remain straight and flat. First one goes in upside down on its back, second one goes in right side up with its belly down against the first one’s tail. I arranged them head to tail that way, and since there’s 10 in a bag, I end up with 5 right side up and 5 upside down. They stay straight this way. I don’t use many colors of them so it’s easy to maintain it with just 3-4 bags.
Hey Debo! Awesome content as usual. I have to give the Googans a prop here....the new Blazin Worms are fish catching machines. They aren't durable at all, but damn do they catch fish! Tight lines brother and thanks for all you do to help people get out there and catch fish!
I just started fishing with flukes and see how they would be tough lures for bass to resist. I am using the heavier wire 4/0 Superline hooks when I want the flukes to sink faster (deeper) and lighter wire hooks when I want them to sink slower.
Hey, awesome Vid! If I can’t find a hook with a keeper on it. I put the plastic up to the eye, and run a tooth pick through it. Cut the sides off, And stays really well. A little trick, to help peeps out, on a budget. 👊🏻

I'm wondering if I should've thrown that out a bare swim bait yesterday. I’ve had several trips full of dinks. The worst part was, I had a dink on the hook and he knocked the bait (a Yum Dinger) up the line away from the hook while fighting, and then a solid 3 pounder voraciously attacked it but there was no hook in it so it swam away and left me to land the dink.
