I love that bass assassin. You know you’re making good content when it holds replay value and you come back to it a year/or two later and it’s like watching it for the very first time. You guys are the standard
Definitely one of the best. TB videos can get kind of long for me but there’s definitely a ton of good info. I think my favorite fishing channel has to be UA-cam Fishing Vids. Cornell knows his stuff and gets it done. Also, don’t sleep on Kickin their bass TV. Noah is super knowledgeable and not insufferable like the googans.
Matt Allen and Tim Little are my favorites! Y'all are my go to guys for info, bait, gear, techniques, tips, tricks, etc... You name it, they either know it or made it! Thanks guys... Hard to believe this education is free🤯
I’ve just gotta say thank you y’all have gotten me back into fishing I stopped about 6 years ago when all of my tackle and all but two rods were stolen I sold my boat and I was just crushed but seeing these videos makes me want to start buying stuff again and just getting back to having fun thank you from the bottom of my heart
I jus got back into fishin this summer aswell , i lost my tackle and rods to a thief too so i understand why u didnt wanna spend all the money buying it again .
I can attest to the fact that the nose rigging style works great for smallmouth. One of my favorite techniques to use for the last few years, and I have to thank your videos for showing me how. Thanks Matt and Tim
Flukes are hands down one of the best baits to ever exist for just about everything from bass in a pond to catching big red drum off the beach on Texas rigged flukes with bullet sinkers. Works for just about everything. Spent some time in the hospital back to health now glad the TB family is still here. Love y'all
I got skunked yesterday... woke up this morning to this video and changed up my tactics. I ended up catching a few good ones this morning! Keep up the great work you two do!
Try fishing a magnum fluke on a wobble head or a scrounged head for those deeper fish... if on bottom is use the wobble and if suspended is use a scrounged! WORKS!
You guys are awesome, by far the most informative channel on YT that I have come across. You 2 cover LITERALLY everything. I’m a huge smallie fisherman and the tips and tricks I’ve learned have really helped me become a better angler. Thank you guys and keep it up.
You guys are so smart... Lol I've been implementing rigs and plastics I see on your channel for the past 6 months. I've had a blast getting into bass fishing. All thanks to you guys. Keep it up
Thanks for another amazing video from the best bass fishermen on the internet. Tactical Rocks. Thanks again Matt. God Bless you,Tim and your families from Western Kentucky.
Super fluke is best with 8lb fluorocarbon in my experience. Anything heavier takes away the action that the bait was designed to do. Double fluke rig is my favorite. The fluke on the floating swivel is 4 or 5 inches in front of the fluke on the main line. They dart side to side in sync with each other and looks like one is chasing the other. Deadly 🔥🎣🎣
I’m an avid fluke swimming shad user. I love those zoom baits! But thank you for the rigging tips! That gave me a lot to think about. I get a pretty heavy strike ratio, but have been getting a lot of spit baits or missed hook ups. I also fish Florida shallow water mostly so will definitely be trying some of those rigging tips. thanks! I didn’t know they usually swallow head first on those.
t land I use two barrel swivels, put one about 12” long and the other about 16” long. There are a few how to videos on UA-cam that might explain it better
Ive started following you guys these pass couple weeks. I have caught more bass this summer then I can ever remember. I appreciate the tips they have made fishing extremely exciting again.
Exactly what I needed to hear down here down here in socal. Lmb and stripers are smashing shad right now. Thanks Matt keep em coming. You guys are helping me catch more fish.
You guys are the best... period! exact problem i was having, lots of top water at my honey hole, but they weren't biting lures or much else. Used the fluke, just like you said and got hits!!!
Love the info been bass fishing 30 plus years still learning new tricks thanks to you guys also like to give a shout out to all your followers all the positive and kind words never seen a negative comment like so many of the other channels great job guys and thank you for sharing your knowledge with all of us
Thank you so much, I’m down in So. Louisiana, mostly fished specks down in the gulf, this is my first foray into bass fishing..and you do an excellent teaching job..I have a pond in my pasture, where I can practice techniques, had never caught anything on a frog until I saw your video and tried the tech, caught two in as many throws..it works and I’m appreciative
Great video guys ! Love these Tactical Bassin tutorial type videos when Matt and Tim dive deep into a subject, it all makes sense. Thank y'all for sharing!!!
Great videos! (great education for those that are new to bass fishing) I just watched this fluke video and then the 2018 “fluke video” and I then went thru every comment and only seen the word “Wacky” twice. I’m sure others will agree that there are more actions available to a super fluke when “Wacky rigged”. It can be fished slower, twitched differently, etc... BUT, it is a GREAT way to keep using fluke style baits after the head part is torn up by fish when Texas rigged!
Love your videos!!! I like to use the Strike King Elasz tech Z-too on a drop shot for deep fish. The bait floats and stands straight out and moves just like a bait fish. They now have a Baby Z for smaller presentation. These baits are tough and last a long time
@@tacticalbassin I've just heard some people dispute that *cough*zaldain*cough because a fleeing fish won't turn around to look at a predator. But this kinda explains it better
I was floored the first time I watched this video. This is Exactly what Wayne Hockmeyer did with the banjo minnow back in the early 90s. The Original Banjo minnow, not none of that 006 crap. I have always kept these in my tackle box and only used them when Nothing will bite for me.
I remember when my cousin and I were young and we bought a bag of flukes for the first time and went to a pond. We killed em like never before or since. Became one of my favorite baits instantly.
One of the TX lakes I fish, for some reason the shad did not get as big as they normally do. I have thrown the little fluke Jr this year in the pearl white color and have slammed em. I like how you go in depth on your content. Have been watching a long time and always picking up little things to add to my arsenal! Thanks guys! Good stuff.
The first time I used one, I had no idea what to do. I had a 1/0 mosquito hook on for wacky. I ran it through the spine with the point coming out the top. Twitched it in shallow water, and changed my day. Slayed them.
I stumbled across the Reaction Innovations last year and use them fairly often. I have not tried these particular ones, I use the little dipper & Big Dipper sexy shad. Have had a lot of success with this particular color and the Little Dipper. Looks like I'll be giving these a try now. Thanks for the video guys, been following you for over a year now and you have helped me catch fish for sure. Keep the videos coming.
Adding a glass rattle horizontally to the body of the fluke after its rigged works well too. Helps with the glide/side to side and adds noise. I do have problems with casting a weightless spook at times being a shore angler most of the time fishing ponds. It can be hard enough carrying one 1pc rod through the brush at times, let alone two. I have much more confidence in my heavier line/hook/bait presentations than I do light so I tend to bring my heavier stick. I'll try something new
Matt you are such an awesome guy you give out so much information I just want to thank you cuz everything that I've listened to you talk about I've tried and it works thank you so much
Newbie here. Been watching a couple of weeks now and I’ve got a question: How in the heck can you possibly have less than 3million subscribers?? With all you do in one video it’s insane! I used to fish (eastern NC) saltwater 40 years ago. But you know how that goes: jobs, marriage, kids, etc. When I came to YT I thot I was on another planet! No shrimp-sacrileg!!! So, would you have any other listeners who could benefit from a video on what the differences between the effect of fresh, brackish, and salt water creeks?? I mean I know about the weight issue with pure salt water, but I have no idea what, or if, there are adjustments for the way lures be affected. I hope that made sense. Thanks for all the practical knowledge you provide ... ESPECIALLY those links!!! Tight lines!
Also the smokin shad, the fluke jr's doubled up are great for all kinds of diff spec of fish. But def crappie and white bass/stripe. Awsome baits to say the least!
Mark pack showed me the nose hook mag fluke trick about 6 years ago on lake fork fishing the Skeeter owners tournament it catches pressured fish for sure great video!
try a double fluke rig, I haven't fished st claire in a while. But while back when I lived in detroit area I fished it most every weekend of the summer. Lot of times the smallies would be in schools and as we were reeling one in you could see multiple following. Lot of times whoever didn't have the fish on could cast to the ones following and hook up. Double fluke rig you could double up on one rod sometimes. If you get two no it sometimes they can become a tangled mess, but it is lots of fun.
My favorite fluke style bait is the Bass Pro Shops "Sassy Sally" in the Light Hitch color. Its awesome in Michigan's clear water. I throw it on the Gamakatsu weighted Superline EWG hooks 3/0, 1/16 oz.
