Shoutout to @Fullchain Animation for piquing my interest in this area of animation. He has done some incredible stuff in the world of hand-drawn animation, _including_ Blender Grease Pencil, so please go watch it all.

Where is my stop motion Fraser
Blue guy?
Hey tim, so i finally have some mega construx figures, which i even have a marine i named chips dubbo, but i need pointers because I've only used lego minifigures for stopmotion, and I'd like to know how to make a good stop halo stopmotion
Nice! They're very fun to work with. Funnily enough, I don't think I've ever animated with a LEGO figure before. We're on opposite ends. lol
I have always animated my MEGA figures on flat surfaces, so I always get sticky tack for the feet. They can come in handy for other scenarios too. But I guess the best and most basic advice I can give is get a feel for animating them by practicing. If you're at a loss for where to start, you can try animating what you've already done before, like walking, shooting a weapon, or waving. Short and simple is always great.
And don't be afraid to make mistakes! Even I need to be reminded of that sometimes.
@@TimotheosFraser well I've actually done other types of movements, but not shooting, couldn't figure out how to do that, but i don't have any muzzle flash halo pieces, now a way to make em
@@Shingodzilla138Xbox Oh yeah. Muzzle flashes are kinda hard. I've been fortunate enough to have a speedy computer and income to purchase VFX online, but _practical_ effects are a challenge even for me. I should try that sometime.
@@TimotheosFraser yeah.... well stopmotion studio has features to add more to your stopmotions.............. but they're pay to use...... and i had to spend cash to get a new controller to play my console
