" It acellerates very slow " I've driven this car and I'm not saying it's very fast but it is not slow either. It does have some quickness to it especially for a compact sedan hybrid

the noise when under 20 mph is the proximity system, its fake noise to warn pedestrians so they move out of the way when you are driving

No that wasn’t the noise. It was electrical or weird Hming noise. But I know what you mean about the pedestrian sound

@@Iegend17 the humming sound like a tram is the regen braking it only happens when braking,

The 2 noises are at 12:30
First noise under 20 mph until 6 mph is the constant hum sound this is the proximity speaker
Under 6 mph you hear like a tram or metro noise when braking this is regen braking making this noise the decreasing humming + same time the steady hum which is the proximity speaker

@@lcpd26 yes see this sounds weird. I drove a lot of cars and I owned 2 Teslas. My brother has Honda insight and non did that noise. So it was something new to me. I drove so many cars and non had that sound. Btw I wish Toyota added paddle shifters but I think B mode is for aggressive regen right

@@Iegend17 yes b mode is to be used mainly on steep downhills,
Paddle shifters on hybrids are available on the 2.0 hybrid
However the 1.8 hybrid hasn't got them,
It's true I wished as well they used both in 1.8 and 2.0 hybrid...
Here in Europe we have the 1.2T with manual corolla wich I own very nice engine they removed it on the face-lift, the 1.8 hybrid though is not slow the favelifted one 9.2 0 100 km/h is pretty fast for every day car...
      Especially here in Europe...

I have to agree with you and the design of the dashboard makes the space feel even smaller. But i got used to it after 2 days of driving and it does not feel as bad as my initial impression. In my country, only the top trim Civic is available and it’s over $10k more expensive than the Corolla, so it’s a pretty easy decision for me despite I prefer the design of the civic.
