We are getting closer to cracking on with proper fit out. To make sure everything fits where it should and we have the right location for lights and sockets and bed etc, we decided to mark out the floor with masking tape. The idea is to save major reworks of the plan later. So we want to make sure the bathroom is right, the door widths right, the galley kitchen flows correctly. Therefore, most of the time is spent on our knees with a pencil and tape. It hurts!
Plus, a bit of measuring mishap.

I’m pink therefore I’m spam. Cerebral work keeps you fit. Well done on the layout.

Loved the body on the floor hillarious :) Your right the only true measurement is the floor. I'd make yourself a perfect 90 degree triangle about 3ft or you can buy one. That will give you true angles and straight 90 degree edges off the floor to the ceiling? (If that makes sense) The thing about building a boat is your always making changes and re-designing, and compromising :)

I know I am an overthinker. I think about that every day
Taping off the plan is so important and glad you got it sorted

A wooden cutting board attached to drawer slides just below the permanent kitchen countertop creates very useful extra counter space. Slide it out when needed, when not needed, slide it back under the fixed countertop.

That’s a good idea. Clever use of space.

    Good work!
    This should serve you well.
My experience is that something decently sturdy for bracing between battens (to support bulkheads or the edges of boards) was what I wanted, so used bits 19mm hardwood ply.

Thanks. Yes, I’m going to do that for tv mounts and in the electric cupboard to hang the heavy victron kit to and spread the load (and heat). the bulkheads will be in a ‘no batten’ part of the ceiling, so will need to add some. Below gunwales is 14mm t&g, so got good bite. Above gunwales, all battens are 36x38. Well, 2x 19x38. Unfortunately rather randomly spaced so don’t tie up to 8ft spacing anywhere 🤬 so more battening to do! We marked out the walls as well as floor but did not include it in episode. Defo worth the effort. It showed up a lot so I can plan for it.
