Ikea Box Camera Build Part 1

  • I picked up this Ikea wooden shelf and decided to upcycle it into a Afghan Box Camera.
    What it need 2 side panels, the internal focusing mechanism , a dark sleeve and a back door. While it is a simple build, my main challenge is to work with mainly hand tools.
    This is the part 1 of the build series. In the next video, I will continue with the rest of the build and do a test shoot.

    About me:
    I have been doing fim photography, darkroom printing since 2003. Since then, I have also been doing alternative processes such as albumen printing, kallitype printing, wet plate and dry plate photography. My favorite cameras are the Nikon FM2 and Nikon F2 and my favorite films are Fomapan 100, Kodak Ektar, Fujifilm Velvia, Rollei Superpan. with The various genres of photography I enjoy doing are landscape photography, portrait photography,
    Being new to UA-cam, I appreciate the works of other film photographers on youtube, such as Willem Verbeeck, Matt Day, Bigheadtaco and many more

    This was so interesting, I wouldn't have thought about it. Looking forward to the next parts, I am really curious how it will look and work in the end
